    4. I have committed to walk and/or jog at least 5 miles 6 days a week during the month of November. I met that goal today so I am 1/30 so far. I will do the same tomorrow by jogging after work or doing some treadmill at the gym.

JFT Monday - too much candy over the weekend
so no more candy today - I left the rest of the candy in the break room to get out of the house. Now I still have to avoid it at work
extra water to try and repair damage

Will take it easy but have to get out of the house at some point.
I will express my wellness mantra.
I will stay within range of my calorie goal and beat the goal on average for the week.
I will have patience for my lovely bride who is only trying to help me when I'm sick.
I am expressing gratitude for the wonder of Halloween experienced by little kids. My wife handed out the candy and loved seeing the costumes and pure joy from the little ones.

    Decent day.

Slightly over my calorie goal but beat it on average for the week.
I lost 8.2# on the week but in perspective, 5.4# over the past three
Didn't work out, was a couch slug with a cold. For the week worked out 4:56 including 6.55 miles of walking.
I am expressing gratitude for the Over 50 Support group I was in the past several months. It was my first effort at peer support and while the group is much more focused on maintenance the experience was great.

    JFT 11/02:
Focus in on the "diet" portion of working on weight.. I will try to keep my fat intake within my macro. I have 9 left to go after lunch so I'll have to make really good choices for the remainder of the day to do it.

@pierportbeach: #2 is a great goal..not quite there yet but one I think I need to work toward.

    Bravo on a wonderful thread.

    Just for today, I will....
Quit after 4 cups of coffee
Drink at least 4 bottles of water
    Pre-log everything
Make (and drink) smoothies for 2 meals
    Not eat that leftover pizza
    Freeze the leftover pizza
    Log any extras
Complete at least 80% of my daily to-do list
Try to be asleep by midnight

Nope. Only stuck to 4 of those things and not eating the pizza was not one of them. Yesterday wasn't horrible, though. Today is a new day, new goals.

    Just for today, I will....

Pre-log as much as I can
    Stick to it
    Add any extras
    Drink 4 bottles of water
Weight train for a minimum of 10 mins
    40 min walk tonight
    Complete 80% to do list
    Make smoothie before going out
Stick to two bite rule for unhealthy foods
    Take new measurements

A new month is here - the month of November!! Its a month filled with temptations - thanksgiving day, with pies, etc., baking for christmas, etc. It is usually these 3 months (Oct-Dec) where I seem to gain weight. But this year will be different. I can enjoy the holiday, without gaining weight.
So for the month of november, these are my goals. I'm going to see if I can meet these goals.

Starting weight was 200.8 (before the 2lb gain over the weekend with grandkids here, but hoping those 2# will come off quickly). So for the month of November, I hope to end the month at 195.

Exercise 3-4 times a week, no matter how busy.

    Keep a positive attitude!

Log on here everyday with my JFT commitments. It is what keeps me going!

Encourage at least 1 person every day. Studies have shown that when we encourage others, we actually help ourselves!

So what goals do you guys have for this month! I hope one of the goals is to continue to come here and post - as you guys keep me going as well!!

I heard about some dentist who is willing to pay cash for candy and then donating the candy to troops. Was on some news station.
