Hi all! This seems fun and supportive. I'm down....as of five days ago. From 11/17, yesterday weights 30 min, today walking 3 hrs, weights 15min, lots of housework. And thumb work with all this texting

    Welcome!

Its sounds challenging and fun. I'm in. Is there anything special we need to do or sign up?

I have been walking a lot lately, but not logging it, I did 3000 steps today and 1.35 miles of walking.

I have been frustrated at work and walking a lot

I've had a lot of stress too. I bet walking is helping you. <3

Alright, I needed a bit of a break, so I did a quick 18 minutes of cardio followed by 55 minutes of intense stretching. It was amazing!

Day 11 (11/22): Rest (I actually clocked about 5K steps between doing food prep and cleaning but I consider these to be a bonus calorie burn.)

    Day 12 (11/23): Weights (upper & lower) – 57 mins

I just completed Hammer& Chisel – Total Body Chisel (trial)

This session was with Autumn Calabrese – I like her. The actual tape is only 36 minutes but since this was my first time it took me a while to make the equipment changes. Three super-sets of 3 exercises each – upper and lower body – weights as heavy as you do with good form. The third super set had bench step down lunges and tricep dips which really got my heart rate up.

I'll definitely do this tape again. As much as I love my cardio (Spin, Stairmaster, Zumba) I know the importance of strength training (from prior experience and reading the forums.) So alas, I am committed to consistently incorporating weights into my routine (sigh :) ).

Have a wonderful Monday and keep up the good work everyone. We can do this!

Looks like I'm on day 57.

Opting for something different, I pulled a ballet based exercise video called element ballet. Last time I tried this, I could only do about 25 minutes (it's 50 minutes long) and had to give up. And then i couldn't walk the next day!

So being brave, haha, I pulled it out and oh my, I completed the entire workout!!!!!! I'll share how well i can walk tomorrow, I'm already feeling my muscles expressing their disbelief in what I put them through.

Day 58. Since i KILLED my legs and abs yesterday (that ballet workout, boy I can feel it!) it seemed only fair to treat my arms, chest and back to the same treatment. Cause that's how I roll, lol!

I did an hour fitness blender weights workout. It was tabata style, so 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off for 8 rounds for each exercise. Which of course leads to total muscle burnout!

I may regret this at the grocery store in an hour. haha!

Day 53: Nov 22 walked 45 extra mins
Day 54: Nov 23 walked 45 extra mins
Day 55: Nov 24 walked 45 extra mins

It looks boring and repetitive, but it's working for me.

You are so great to treat your whole body to stretching & exercise! You have a lot of variety too. It is fun to read what you're up to next!

Thank you willsRN. Since a gym membership isn't financially feasible, I feel pretty lucky to have access to a great variety of exercise dvds and the internet.

Today, I did Les Mills combat, 45 minute power kata. My legs are still a bit sore from two days ago doing that ballet based workout, but the kicking today really seemed to help work that out. :)
