I will weigh tomorrow....i do think, for me, it has become "unrealistic" that i will lose ten lbs by jan 9....but even five lbs would be worthwhile.0

I'm missing out on the challenges. Boo it's great motivation for me0

Hi - I'd like to jump in with u & do my best to cut what I can by Jan 10th. I'm very similar to Simone in that my calorie allowance is so low!!!
H 5'4, W 127, Age 41, Calories allowed 1290. Tips &/or tricks? Eat zero calorie miracle rice/noodles, veggies, fruits, lean protein, lots of water & aim for those 10,000 steps per day. In moments of weakness when sugar & fat are calling don't go there. Instead, type here, do the seven minute app workout, jump rope, do crunches/squats, put on music, get a pop song stuck in my head, get some work done... anyone else want to share something they do instead of eating?0 -
I am very much a night time snacker so when I get in that mood at night I've been trying to go to bed early instead. Which is helping me with one of my other goals of waking up earlier in the morning.
During the day at my desk when I want to snack I try to busy myself with something else or put it off by thinking to myself that my lunch is all I get until dinner so if I eat too early I'll be much hungrier later on0 -
Gettin frustrated with all the Christmas goodies around.. Losing focus! Gah!0

Super late but this is awesome! My personal goal is 10 lbs down by January 14 (close enough)!!!0

Hailing from Mississippi. I'm a 26-year-old music teacher who gained about 20 lbs last year during my first year teaching high school (and getting mononucleosis). At almost the 6 month mark since switching jobs, I've lost around 10 lbs by moderately changing my workout habits. However, I'm ready to kick this into high gear for the new year!!!0

I started this challenge at 164.4
And, currently, I a 159.2
So, no matter what, this challenge has been a 'success'....even if I don't hit the "magic 10".
Having said that, I have one more month....and I have put a calorie-deficit plan in place to help me get through all of the upcoming functions, and the xmas party season.
For now, I am only going to eat half of the plate(s) that are served....that strategy worked well for me in 2013 and 2014. And, I am going to drink 2 glasses of water prior to any eating.....hoping to pop my water intake back up to the 10- to 12- glasses per day range.0 -

I haven't been regular about weigh ins but so far I'm down four pounds since making the goal of 10 pounds by January 9th. January 9th is right before my birthday so it will be a nice birthday gift if I hit the goal! Keep up the good work everyone!0

I lost 3 lbs. More cardio and salads in general. But I do find myself enjoying small bits of chocolate here and there. Not too much...but just enough. I'm in to loose 10 lbs!0
