When I'm chubby, carrying a purse & trying to wear heels all at once I bear a very strong resemblance to robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire.
Dress sizes? Don't even get me started!!!
I only wear dresses that stretch.

Though I seriously doubt you bare any resemblance to mrs doubtfire, I found your post hilarious!!

    5'6, 118 lbs and usually for dresses I'm a 1-2.
Keeping in mind I have a fairly small frame, and have been weight gaining and weight training since September! I'm hoping to gain another 10lbs in 2016

All the replies! I think we're all learning that there's more to it than the number on the tag.

5'3" 115lbs. 47 years old, small frame. Pant size 2. I can actually wear Jr. size clothing. If I get up to 120 lbs, I bump up a size or 2. During the summer, I'm around 112 lbs.

Seeing what the average size may be based upon weight/hight.

Me: 145.2 lbs "large frame" 6-10 depending on brand; mostly an 8. Size Medium tops.

Different for everyone depending on muscle mass.

    I was 5"11 355 lbs size 48-50 and a 5xl shirt

went to 5"11 182lbs size 29-30 pants and small/ medium shirt

currently 5"11" 225-230lbs size 34 paints, large shirt

So far @ 5'7" & pear shaped (not petite) in the US:

    238 lbs: women's 22-24 bottom, 20-22 top
    217 lbs: women's 18-20 bottom, 18-20 top

In 2006, @ 142 lbs, I wore loose misses 10 bottom and 12/14 (large) top as I do not like fitted/athletic/slim fit clothes. At all. As a normal weight teenager, I wore a Junior 7 in the late 80s and 9 in the 90s with measurements approximately 34-27-36.

(U.S sizes) I'm 5'5, 148lbs, I wear medium in tops, sometimes a small (like in tshirts usually small), and size 10 in pants.

When I was (still 5'5) and weighed +200lbs, I was XL to XXL in shirts (I liked a very baggy fit though, I carried most of it in my torso) and size 14-16 in pants.

    5'7, small frame
170 when I started and wore 12 - 14 - and probably shopped in vanity sizing stores (US sizes)
137 now, size 2-4 at the same stores. 34-27-36. Still a little jiggly at the middle, but I have been weight training so my biggest problem is fitting my muscular thighs into pants that fit at the waist.

I agree! I don't care about having the perfect body (I won't anyway thanks to all the loose skin) and it's not worth torturing myself through some exercise I hate for it. Happy at a healthy weight at this point.

Ht: 5'4" Wt: 126-130 (used to be 230 pounds prior to June 2014)
    Size 2-4 in pants
    Size US Small in shirts

Strangely enough, size range 4-8 in dresses depending on how the bust is cut (I have 34D bust).

I actually have a medium to large frame (was always told I have a 'heavy skeletal structure', but I have a low body fat % at this point due to Isagenix nutritional program and short distance running (3-6 miles per run)). I have very little excess 'anything' with the exception of residual small belly pooch from being 230 pounds a year and a half ago. I am trying to continue abdominal training to get that to go away, but I know it may never disappear.

I don't know my waist or hip measurements...haven't taken them since I was over 170 pounds.

I'm 5'7 and about 145 lbs currently. Most tops are a size small, pants/shorts usually a 4, dresses anywhere from 4-8 depending on brand/style.
