Is it too late to jump in?
I'm on the last 10-15lbs of my weight loss and it's proven to be the most stubborn yet.
    Height: 4'10"
    12/1: 119lbs.
    12/29: 122lbs.

Christmas was rough, but I'm back on track and hoping the bloat will soon retreat.

    ENCOURAGING WORD...

Great job last week everyone! Let's stay the course and bring the New Year in with newness! Prepare yourself for a brand new year by wiping the slate clean and make every day pristine. Stay in the present by not thinking too far ahead or dwelling on the past, and refuse to allow fear to overshadow your hope in what the future will bring for you!

Many people, allow extraneous thoughts to clutter their minds and cloud your judgment. It is important for you to stay focused on what really matters in your life by taking control of your thought process. You know the difference between right and wrong. Right thinking causes right doing! Have a great New Years Eve!

Starting weight (for this challenge): 160
    Goal weight: 155
    Current weight: 155
    New goal weight: 150
    Total lost via challenge: 5lbs

I'm on a two year streak of losing weight over the holidays! :3 I expected to maintain from all the food I ate while in Costa Rica, but I guess the exercise I also did offset that. Yay!

So I have missed two weigh ins. Here are my statistics from the holidays!

    SW: 210.0 lbs(12/1/2015)

    CW: 204.5 lbs (12/29/2015)

    GW: 180 lbs (2/29/2016)

    UGW: 160 lbs (by Summer)

    Weigh in 1: 201.5 lbs (12/8/15)
    Weigh in 2: 202.5 lbs (12/15/15)
    Weigh in 3: **MISSED**
    Weigh in 4: 204.5 lbs (12/29/15)

I had many things happen which has proven to be a challenge to fit in any exercise. I have tried to maintain my diet as best as possible (honestly, 2 pounds since before Christmas is not bad for me). I was house sitting and a pet had passed away, worrying for the family, and so on really proved to be a challenge.

However, at the start of the new year (HAPPY NEW YEARS), I will be jumping back into my routine. I will be changing up my routine as well (If you have read my blog). I look forward to trying to loose the weight (which is still possible within the next two months). I will be working my butt off, but I am excited and prepared to do what I need to do.
  • I just came across this Challenge, and hopefully it's not too late to join! I DID do weekly weigh-ins throughout December (every Thursday), but I can start doing them on Tuesdays to participate in this Challenge.

I had lost a total of 65 lbs from 274 down to 209, but I've been struggling with losing and gaining back the same ~30 lbs (between 210-240) due to losing sight of my goals and letting myself slip back into my old habits... I'm ready to get past this funky plateau and keep losing until I reach my goals!

    Highest Weight (2011): 274 lbs
    12-01-15: 248 lbs
    12-11-15: 239 lbs
    12-17-15: 240 lbs
    12-24-15: 242 lbs
    12-31-15: 238 lbs

Challenge Goal Weight (02/29/16): 220 lbs
Ultimate Goal Weight (09/01/16, roughly 2 lbs a week): 165 lbs

    ENCOURAGING WORD...

EveryBODY is different and we all have our own likes and dislikes when it comes to eating, but one thing for sure is that we all have the same goal. Lose the weight for good! If you're like me, you are so tired of every little nickel and dime you've spent on trying the newest, latest and greatest fad diet. I guess that's why I wanted to do something for everyone and have it not COST us anything - well except our time and commitment. Just a little friendly challenge that helps to motivate may just be the way to go!

Here are a few TIPS that are tried and true. Often a busy lifestyle schedule during the day can preclude us from good eating practices and missing or neglecting them can plummet your metabolism in a NY minute! Your Mama wasn't joking when she said, "Eat your breakfast!" and "Eat your Vegetables!" These two basic rules are good ones to keep around.

    TIPS;

TIP 1. NEVER SKIP BREAKFAST AND EAT EVERY 2-3 HOURS! To keep the (fire burning) and your metabolism revved up try eating at least every 2-3 hours. (Breakfast, am snack, Lunch, pm snack, Dinner).

TIP 3. EASE UP ON HIGH CARBS, REFINED SUGARS, FLOURS AND HIGH SUGARY DRINKS!

TIP 4. ENTER IN LEAN PROTEIN AND LOTS MORE VEGETABLES!

TIP 5. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER!

TIP 6. TRACK EVERYTHING ON YOUR MYFITNESSPAL JOURNAL!

TIP 7. MOVE MORE AND MORE. Maybe it's just a walk around the block or chair aerobics, and every week challenge yourself to move just a little more.

Now that I look at it, I've pretty much stayed the same weight for a month (which isn't bad, trust me). I've started logging consistently since December 21st but had 3 of my way overconsumption days in a row (Thursday-Saturday; days where I eat over 3000 calories! That's what happens when I don't care about logging). So that definitely set me back a bit, especially since my loss is set to 0.5lb /wk. Let's do this!
