    I was at 40-45 lbs lost but then well, school, an overseas trip & the holidays happened. I stopped using MFP and regret it. I'm using 2016 to get back on track and this page should help me out!

    I'd forgotten how much doing this with others helps!! I am trying to keep my weight loss at a reasonable pace because I know when I don't I end up binging and gaining it all back anyway. Let's do this!!

    your successes: I have become more active, purchased a step tracker, and log what I eat daily using this app.

    and struggles: I am not great about eating vegetables. I have a HUGE issue with putting Way too much food on my plate at each meal and eating Very Fast. I need to slow down and watch my portion sizes but it is very difficult for me.

    Try using a small plate - I am doing that and it seems to be helping with portion size!

    Thanks to MFP, this is my first time actually focusing on weight loss in almost 4 years. I went off track quite a few weeks from Sept - Dec and ended up one pound over my acceptable +/- 3 pound range I've been maintaining for 3.5 years. My lifetime goal is to never need to lose more than 5 pounds, so it's time to regroup. Losing 5 pounds will put me 1 pound less than my maintenance goal of 122. Redeveloping the habits that work for me over the month will set me up for maintenance success the remainder of the year!

    Let me know how I can support you! I love the small plate idea...works for me too...something about a full plate adds to the satisfaction when the meal is done!

    This group worked really well in the past. I've gotten really off track in the last couple years and my weight gain and health show it. It's time to refocus.

    Lost more than my target for the month in my first week, but that's usually just water, right? I've adjusted my target to take that into account.

    I believe this is the last of the Christmas and New Year's weight. Great job to everyone who made progress this first week! My loss on the news feed actually says .8 lost because the last time I weighed was before Christmas and it was 129.2, so I gained 1.2 over the holidays and now I'm losing it (plus a bit more it seems). I am pleased with my progress so far as I'm a little over 3 pounds from goal! My strategy this week has been to literally eat back half of my exercise calories. I was going to not eat back any, but I thought I'd try half to see how that worked first.

    Logging food intake really makes a difference! Next week will be more of a challenge with a business trip followed by a ski trip!
