ENCOURAGING WORD...
Many people, allow extraneous thoughts to clutter their minds and cloud your judgment. It is important for you to stay focused on what really matters in your life by taking control of your thought process. You know the difference between right and wrong. Right thinking causes right doing! Have a great New Years Eve!0 -
Starting weight (for this challenge): 160
Goal weight: 155
Current weight: 155
New goal weight: 150
Total lost via challenge: 5lbs
I'm on a two year streak of losing weight over the holidays! I expected to maintain from all the food I ate while in Costa Rica, but I guess the exercise I also did offset that. Yay!0 -
So I have missed two weigh ins. Here are my statistics from the holidays!
SW: 210.0 lbs(12/1/2015)
CW: 204.5 lbs (12/29/2015)
GW: 180 lbs (2/29/2016)
UGW: 160 lbs (by Summer)
Weigh in 1: 201.5 lbs (12/8/15)
Weigh in 2: 202.5 lbs (12/15/15)
Weigh in 3: **MISSED**
Weigh in 4: 204.5 lbs (12/29/15)
I had many things happen which has proven to be a challenge to fit in any exercise. I have tried to maintain my diet as best as possible (honestly, 2 pounds since before Christmas is not bad for me). I was house sitting and a pet had passed away, worrying for the family, and so on really proved to be a challenge.
However, at the start of the new year (HAPPY NEW YEARS), I will be jumping back into my routine. I will be changing up my routine as well (If you have read my blog). I look forward to trying to loose the weight (which is still possible within the next two months). I will be working my butt off, but I am excited and prepared to do what I need to do.0 -
I just came across this Challenge, and hopefully it's not too late to join! I DID do weekly weigh-ins throughout December (every Thursday), but I can start doing them on Tuesdays to participate in this Challenge.
I had lost a total of 65 lbs from 274 down to 209, but I've been struggling with losing and gaining back the same ~30 lbs (between 210-240) due to losing sight of my goals and letting myself slip back into my old habits... I'm ready to get past this funky plateau and keep losing until I reach my goals!
Highest Weight (2011): 274 lbs
12-01-15: 248 lbs
12-11-15: 239 lbs
12-17-15: 240 lbs
12-24-15: 242 lbs
12-31-15: 238 lbs
Challenge Goal Weight (02/29/16): 220 lbs
Ultimate Goal Weight (09/01/16, roughly 2 lbs a week): 165 lbs0 -

ENCOURAGING WORD...
EveryBODY is different and we all have our own likes and dislikes when it comes to eating, but one thing for sure is that we all have the same goal. Lose the weight for good! If you're like me, you are so tired of every little nickel and dime you've spent on trying the newest, latest and greatest fad diet. I guess that's why I wanted to do something for everyone and have it not COST us anything - well except our time and commitment. Just a little friendly challenge that helps to motivate may just be the way to go!
Here are a few TIPS that are tried and true. Often a busy lifestyle schedule during the day can preclude us from good eating practices and missing or neglecting them can plummet your metabolism in a NY minute! Your Mama wasn't joking when she said, "Eat your breakfast!" and "Eat your Vegetables!" These two basic rules are good ones to keep around.
TIPS;
TIP 1. NEVER SKIP BREAKFAST AND EAT EVERY 2-3 HOURS! To keep the (fire burning) and your metabolism revved up try eating at least every 2-3 hours. (Breakfast, am snack, Lunch, pm snack, Dinner).
TIP 3. EASE UP ON HIGH CARBS, REFINED SUGARS, FLOURS AND HIGH SUGARY DRINKS!
TIP 4. ENTER IN LEAN PROTEIN AND LOTS MORE VEGETABLES!
TIP 5. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER!
TIP 6. TRACK EVERYTHING ON YOUR MYFITNESSPAL JOURNAL!
TIP 7. MOVE MORE AND MORE. Maybe it's just a walk around the block or chair aerobics, and every week challenge yourself to move just a little more.0 -

Now that I look at it, I've pretty much stayed the same weight for a month (which isn't bad, trust me). I've started logging consistently since December 21st but had 3 of my way overconsumption days in a row (Thursday-Saturday; days where I eat over 3000 calories! That's what happens when I don't care about logging). So that definitely set me back a bit, especially since my loss is set to 0.5lb /wk. Let's do this!0 -
Last week I lost 4.6 pounds from being sick. This week, I've gained some of that back, which I guess is to be expected. Last week I hit 180.8 today I am 184.0. I'm up 3.2 pounds. The medications I've been put on have cause a lot of GI distress and air on my stomach so only time will tell how much of the 184 is a true weight or not. Either way, for this challenge, I am still down a total of 4 pounds so I'll take it. Hopefully next week I'll be back on course at a more stable weight and can move forward from there. I can say that being sick through Christmas prevented any holiday weight gain Silver lining, you know.
My weight is starting to stabilize and I think I'll be able to move forward from here losing weight. Today I am 182.0. That's 2 pounds from last week and 6 pounds for the challenge. 12 pounds till challenge goal weight.0 -

I did not exercise this week. I have been trying to eat healthier though. I thought about substituting a fruit or vegetable shake for a meal. I do not have the Nutribullet, but I do have a blender (parents...from the 70s). I am unsure of what I can add into these shakes (I thought about strawberry/banana, strawberry/blueberry/banana, pineapple/blueberry, etc.). If anyone has any fun suggestions for fruit and vegetable shakes, I will gladly try to follow! I have never tried vegetable shakes, and hearing it makes me wanna be grossed out. I love eating vegetables too, but having them all blended rubs me the wrong way....for some reason.
Good luck this coming week everyone!0 -

Hey, pals.
My weight today: 92.5 kg.
Total loss since 1. Dec: 3.3 kg
This last week it fluctuated a lot. My period is late and this is a major setback. Saw a O&G doc yesterday and he said there is nothing to worry about but I'm feeling... Not ok about that. I'm on the edge of losing my sanity.0 -

ENCOURAGING WORD...
You will begin to enjoy the fruit of your positive choices over the past few months. The rewards will be subtle at first and then become more pronounced and finally will become a way of life. Do not discount the power of sowing and reaping---you've heard it said that what we sow we reap and it is so true when it comes to our physical and mental health! Stay strong this week!0 -

Gained a pound in the last week. Yay for a week of sodium and extra carb! It was tasty.
I'm getting sick tho, and my shin is doing it's best to approach basketball size. (I tripped, fell, and landed terribly on multiple body parts.) I'm not looking forward to taking a few days off from working out.0 -
