Hey ya'll! I'm looking for a group to get motivation and accountability. 40+ seems pretty awesome to me. I'm in!

I used to be a 175 pound triathlete who had lost 110 pounds with that sport. I got ran over by a vehicle in 2011 and suffered a TBI. I promised my wife and kids I wouldn't bike anymore. Since then I've gained 140 pounds. I've gotten into olympic style weightlifting. I'm having so much fun with the sport, but need to get into a lower weight class to be competitive. So here I am. On Sunday I weighed 310. I'm shooting to get to 230 by Dec 31st. That's 1.34 pounds a week. It's doable!

    You can do it!!!!!! Welcome!

LEGS=DONE! trying squats a bit different. I got a bit past parallel but not quite "ATG". I need a little more flexibility in my right ankle...the one I mangled up at the Spartan stadium sprint.

10 miles on the bike this morning. Weights tonight.

Feeling a bit wimpy lately; My bike and run averages are not improving. Getting plenty of protein but maybe not enough calories. I just calc'ed my BMR and I'm barely taking in that much daily. Time to eat back half my exercise calories to see what that does for me, yeah?

Soon to be 41 and looking to get some of my fitness back. Hockey and tennis does not cut it for an exercise program anymore.

As one Florida man to another, 1K is a lot of weight to be losing. But good luck,

Hi! Welcome to the group. You meant you need to lose 100 not 1000, right? Whichever it is, good luck to you!! One step at a time!

Hello all! I popped in a few days ago to say I'd be back and...well....I'm here now if that counts. :)

I'm 45 years old (next month, but close enough). I have about 20 lbs to lose, but I'll be happy with 15. I work from home as a remote employee for a U.S. company approximately 60 -80 hours a week. As you can imagine, I don't get to move around a lot. I'm trying to change that.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and making some friends. :)

Hey everyone. Hope all you guys are doing well. I'm still rolling along, keeping busy on the farm. I have been able to get my weight back up to 171 due to less shoveling and more ice cream. I just have to make sure I don't get to enjoying it too much.

Welcome to the new guys and hello to everyone else. Just because I'm not posting doesn't mean I don't think about you guys. I'm just going through one of my antisocial media phases.

Hey, sorry for being AWOL for so long. I still peek in from time to time, just not a lot to say. You are doing great work here, keeping everyone's spirits up. The New Year's rush is always busy around here.

Hi all! Definitely part of the club at 42. I really found the post-40 body change everyone talked abut was real. As I get older, I realize that if I slack for more than 1-2 days, I see and feel the impact. So, here I am, back on MFP trying to keep myself accountable. Good luck, everyone!
