Day 9/90 is done....plyo. whew wasnt looking forward to this today, but feel so much better now that i got my burn on. the rock stars are still hard for me.
the replacement xbox 360 finally arrived, now i can see tony on the big screen, instead of my laptop. cant wait for shoulders/arms tomorrow. one of my favs.0 -

Well Day #4 Yoga officially kicked my butt! I couldn't make it all the way through, stopped at about 3/4 mark. I've never done yoga before and knew that this was going to be a challenge. My balance was waaaaayyyy off and just didn't have the stamina to keep up....Oh well looking forward to day #5.0

I want to say CONGRATS to everyone! Never Stop pushing play. I found myself this morning not wanting to do PLYO and told myself I could do it later, later came, had to dig deep to start it up. Once Tony was on the screen it was a blast, tuff, but a blast.

I started on June 5 and I have yoga tonight. I did not expect yoga to be as difficult as it is!!0

Today is week 2 day yoga. I am so tight and I really have to modify a tone of the moves since I'm an so not flexable. I know Tony will help that. I really thought I would be sore like I was all last week but, I am not. I pushed even harder this week, did more reps and pushed harder in plyo. I guess that is ok! I was really looking for the soreness. You all Keep pushing play every day!
After yoga and dinner tonight, I plan to take the 4 Beagles out for a walk since the rain has gone. They will love that since I have not been able to walk them for the past few days since its been storming here.

I am in my second week, Arms and Shoulders and ab ripper today! Cant do pull ups for anything though. I am on a very strict diet, something my moms personal trainer gave her. I didnt get the diet that goes with the P90X but this one is really good, and I also decided to add a protein shake, because i couldnt find the P90X one, I got Synta-6, has anyone else tried that one?0

I am not sure if you are wearing a heart rate monitor or not. That is the best way to get your calories burned. Then you can simply go to Exercises, add cardiovascular exercise, and input the minutes and calories. If you aren't wearing a heart rate monitor, then you'll have to estimate your calories.0 -

Day #5 (legs, back, ab ripper) is done, not as sore today as before, not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing. Looking forward to day 6.0

Just found this thread. I'm on day 5 - legs & back/ab ripper (to be done later tonight)... I powered through the first 3 days like a machine and then yoga SLAUGHTERED me last night. WTH, yoga! Prior to starting it I was like "Awesome, an easy night!" - I will never(!!!!) make light of yoga as an exercise again, hah!0 -
I hope everyone is doing well this morning! I feel like I've really been "bringing it" this week - and I feel very sore. That's good right??
Yoga tonight - it's hard to set aside so much time but it is a tough workout and kind of relaxing at the same time.

I feel the same as you this week skinnylizzy! I felt like I was able to push more the first three workouts. (And my arms and abs are def weak / sore!!! Lovin it!
I wasn't feeling great last night, so I didn't go for my usual run, and I was pretty gentle with Yoga this morning... used it for its stretching mainly. I'm hoping to be revved up to push it for legs and back tomorrow!!
I got on the scale yesterday morning, and had gained back to two lbs I lost last week, which was kinda bummer, but I've been pushing really hard, and I can see the difference in muscle definition, so I'm sure it's just a temporary thing. Also I started eating a few more carbs, so that could easily be it.0 -
Day #6 (Kenpo X) is done. I actually enjoyed this workout a lot. Tomorrow I'll rest and do a light run...Stay motivated all!!!0

day11/90 is done...yoga....took my son out to eat with my best friend and her kids. had my splurge meal today...it seemed i was trying to talk myself out of yoga today, but i stood firm and pushed play.0

Did yoga yesterday. I didn't like it at all, but hopefully it will get better. I do feel much better today though. It's the first day I am not painfully sore. :happy:0

don't be discouraged most people lose more in phase 2 and 3. It is probably water retention in your muscles which helps protect them from the damage caused by new routines and aids in recovery. Drink plenty of water and keep pushing play and you will shed the water weight when your muscles get use to the intensity of the workouts.0 -
Do y'all mind if I join in? I started P90X in May and am in my first week of the second phase. I did the lean routine for the first 30 days and decided to do the classic routine for the second 30 days. I didn't lose much in terms of pounds for the first 30 days, but it did a great deal for my mental state. I love it and consider myself a P90X junkie.0

Have lost 6 pounds since last week. During the week, my weight kept fluctuating. But today, I was down a total of 6 pounds. I was feeling really bummed last week when I would lose a couple of pounds then gain them back. Now I am stoked. I am starting to feel a difference in my posture and the way I feel.0

Personally, I would recommend only weighing yourself one day a week. The same day, same time. Weight can fluctuate so dramatically from day to day that it can be frustrating and maddening to monitor it too closely. Just my thoughts though.0 -
Did legs and back this morning, I had a hiccup with my exercise bands, I lost the door attachment!!! . The leg part of it hurt MUCH less than last time though. I doubt if I'll be sore - next time I guess I have to start adding weights to everything. Gonna have to do ab-ripper tonight after my swim, I ran out of time!!!0

Drink extra water as you may be a little dehydrated (or the R&R drink). Some stretching maybe or a quick rub down of the muscle.0 -
Congratulations everybody, 1 more week is done! And thanks to lifebloomMT for the tips about kenpo last week, I got a much more satisfying workout!
Annnnd, my legs are sore from yesterdays workout! Woot! Man, I love these workouts that still get me sore two weeks into the program. How cool is that?
How are you all doing on the diet?
I have to admit defeat here. I gave up on low carb... eating a ton of fruits and vegetables + and a little whole grains is just so much more satisfying for me than meat, meat, meat. (not to mention cost effective) - I'm still trying to get a lot of protein in, just not stressing about carbs so much. Since the change, I seem to be hitting about 40, 40, 20 - so I'm just gonna say I skipped into the next section early. I think with P90X plus how much I run, I deserve it!0 -
thanks lifebloom, all i drink is water and upped that. did some downward dog to stretch it out. its not as big of a knot as it was .
13/90 is done with kenpo..my left calf did great , not taking a rest day tomorrow will do something cardio.
Two weeks down !!! Congrats All!!0
