Woke up sick today and feeling very sorry for myself. Went walking but felt like I was going to die so I won't be working out tonight. It's very slow progress for me at the moment and if i keep going at this rate I won't make goal BUT it's still a loss and another pound lighter is nothing to be sniffed at!0 -

I'm new to this challenge, but not new to the weight loss struggle. I've yo-yo dieted what feels like my whole life. I had lost 50 lbs using MFP over a year ago. Some things happened in life that threw me off and I gained it and then some back. I'm determined to not let that happen again. I want to lose the weight and be able to maintain. I've never done these challenges before. I'm hoping it keeps me as motivated as I have been the last 3 weeks.0 -

Work towards achieving your goals
Losing weight is more than just hitting the gym and getting in a quick workout. I mean, working out is a necessity, but to really lose the weight, you need to focus on the mental, physical and nutritional aspects. Mentally, you need to have a positive attitude and make sure your mind is right. Physically, you need to know the right steps to take at the gym to improve your fitness. Nutritionally, there are certain foods that will aid in weight loss as well as harm your weight loss goals.
For instance, eating on a smaller plate tricks your mind into thinking you ate more food. Taking a group fitness class forces you to make a commitment that you can’t back out of, and eating protein helps repair your muscles after an intense weight training session.(HF)

Glad to see you back Izzy. Hope everything went well with your surgery!
Weekly Check In:
1/13: 196.5 lbs
1/21: 195 lbs
1/28: 195 lbs
2/4: 193.5 lbs
Stuck to my plan of getting more exercise in this week and it's paying off. Had a couple bad food days this week, but it's a loss so I'll take it.
On Sunday, I'm going to and all you can eat/drink Super Bowl party. My plan is to eat REALLY well for the rest of the week to make up for what may happen there! LOL
Good luck to everyone!!!0 -

I have reconfigured my dates as I will be weighing in on Fridays rather than Monday. I've been eating minimal calories with maximum nutrition, and committed to jogging at least 4 days a week, finally its paying off. I can and will reach my goal!0 -

Thank you! I've been belly dancing every day, just beginner stuff, but i am starting to see a real difference. Firmer calves, fat rolls are smoothing out... and i can get up off the floor with less strain

I have been listening to various hypnosis apps at night, and often just before i get out of bed (extra relaxing!) Anxiety, Depression, Lose Weight, Eat Right, etc. I truly think they have been helping.
The small plate trick works so well we have down sized all our dishes, even cookware. It is SO MUCH EASIER to cook a smaller amount when the ingredients fill the vessel.0 -

Weight goal for this week: 2 to 3 pounds
Weight lost/gained this week: 0 Well, I have noticed that I tend to lose in spurts (no loss for a week, then drop 2 pounds), so maybe I'm just gearing up for one of those. Also, pretty sure I'm bloated today because random joints hurt. I'll chug some water and may post again tomorrow, or just hope for a big drop next week.0 -
