Would love to join too! Was doing so well a year ago when I lost 15lbs, but it all came back while being busy and eating on the go without time to exercise. I want to make a fresh start and lose the weight again.
Stats: 45 years old, 5'7" and 165 lbs. My goal is 145 lbs. I would love to lose 15 lbs in 12 weeks in time for my high-school reunion. I plan to go 5 times a week to the gym, that worked for me last time! and of course track my food here again.

Superb!!! If u dis it already then u can definitely do it now also... Can make small changes in our life styly like taking stairs rather than lift if it is a above 5th floor then u can climb till 5th floor from der u can go by lift and walking to nearby places rather than taking a car.. Just small changes in our lifestyle will make a huugee difference... Gud luck!!!

May, Hawaii trip 76 days away!
OK with my faltering week one, I made some good changes and feel good about getting healthier. The Fitbit is frustrating but I'll figure it out. Only made it to the gym twice last week, adjusting my goal, shooting for 4 days a week. Beach trip to Lincoln City this weekend will be challenging (America at Chinook Winds Casino) NO gorging at the buffet allowed, beach walking encouraged ! It will be my first days off since Tax season kicked off for me Jan 29th.
Mason jar update - oatmeal, walnuts, dried cranberries and fresh blueberries, added hot soymilk. It was great hot, very filling, only ate half, drove to work, not so great cold, nuked it on my break - yuck!

Busy week (again - it never ends at work), but managed to get a lot of walking done. Also am finishing the 30 day challenge for ye auld posterior and thighs - the lunges are murder! Can't wait to finish that bugger. Moving on to arms for March.

I know yesterday was supposed to be report day, but I did my weighing this morning.

    Start Weight: 155 lbs
    Current Weight: 152 lbs
    Goal Weight: 135 lbs

    Update:
    SW:199.8 (onderland! Yipee!)
    CW: 198.2
Loss for week: -.6 (really not quite a week)

Happy for loss. As I just reached 'onderland' on the last weigh in I was super happy not to have gained any. This week, I just stuck to the plan and kept control of calories and gradually increased length of exercise.

    Update:
    SW: 244.6
    CW: 242.4
    Loss: 2.2
I'm happy with my loss. On Saturday, I went to a cooking class where we learned three 30 minute vegetarian meals and were served small portions of each meal. Each meal included a dessert and I told myself that I wouldn't eat any desserts. But the bananas foster looked so good, I had some. I didn't feel good yesterday, so no exercising. I'm going to try tonight. I bought a mini-trampoline, so I'm excited to try it out! It's going to be a busy week at work, so I prepped two meals yesterday and that should get me through the week. My goal is to stick with my planned meals, up my exercise intensity and continue logging everything.

    Great job everyone!!!

Saralynn, sounds like a great class! I would have folded and tried all the deserts , good job picking just one :) I need to get a mini tramp, had one before, bounced for ten minute two or three times a day, loved it. Hope you get to feeling better.

Mason jar update - Today dug half of the 9 grain cereal out, under it was fresh mango chunks, blueberries, and almonds, poured half a cup of hot almond milk on, let it sit 15 minutes while getting ready for work, delicious, still too much, flushed the rest. Did well through a looonnngg shift, no vending machine Escapades! But worked till 11pm, no gym, que sera

I always lurk on these boards but I want to make friends on here as I have none! I need some accountability. So far in my weight loss journey that I started 3 weeks ago, I've lost 8.4 pounds, which is really encouraging for me, but I look forward to losing more. Happy lifestyle changes, y'all!

    Welcome @mirandan73189 !

@jazzypdx Where did you get your mason jar recipes from? I would be interested in making some to-go breakfasts, because I'm always running late  Good job avoiding the vending machine! It's so tempting when you're stuck at work longer than you expect.

@kondmanu what do you put in your smoothies? I've been alternating between two recipes, so I'd love to hear some fresh ideas!

I hope everyone is having a good week!

Hi All ! Busy week, busting out tomorrow and heading for the beach (Lincoln City to see America at Chinook Winds) first day off work since January...dang I'm tired! I did really well on food, the Mason jars are working, the Fitbit is logging steps really well, didn't get to the gym/PF at all. But I did my usual morning stretches, and some oddball exercises before tucking in to bed. I'm doing the 30 day squat challenge/but modified because of my bad ankle, maybe I'll get it strong enough to do it as written in April.
Saralynn - there are some jar recipes on Pinterest, I pretty much have been winging it based on what I like and new things I want to add to my diet. I think I will go buy some of the smaller straight jars though for breakfast.
Mason jar update - #3 pineapple chunks, 1/2banana and last of the blueberries, oatmeal, 1/2 cup hot coconut milk , delicious! #4 Mango, pineapple, almonds, nine grain cereal, 1/2 cup hot soy milk, ...OK, think I should have used coconut milk. Really like this for eating healthy and quick in the morning. Adding Lunch jars next week...
I leave for the beach 11am!!! Time to sleep ~ T

jazzypdx - thanks! I'll take a look at pinterest. Have fun at the beach!
kondmanu - thanks! I've mainly just been combining berries, almond milk and protein powder. Good job on avoiding chocolate!

I am going to try out a recipe for granola bars this weekend - http://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1013862-coconut-granola-bars. It can be vegan if you substitute the honey. I'll report back on how they taste.

I'm coming to realize that preparation is going to be the key to healthy eating success for me. On the two mornings that I didn't prepare for breakfast the night before, I've ended up stopping and grabbing fast food on the way to work. I've made healthy choices both times, but I know eating something from home would be better and cheaper.
