That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

    Janetr ... Beautiful granddaughter!!

Welcome to all the new ladies!

Heather ... Your language practice cracks me up!

Pip prayers for Kirby. I understand about a windy day. You can see the difference in students on those kind of days.

Janetr she knows what she is doing with makeup. Stunning.

    Heather adorable!

Our neighbor is moving in two weeks back to Arizona. Helped with yard work today. Good to be outside.

Going to a Saint Patrick's party tonight. I have ate at home so I am not so hungry that I eat everything they have to offer. Lol. The food there is amazing but so bad for you. Again venturing out on my own. Not thrilled about it but the alternative is to be home alone again. Maybe one day I will get use to it.

CSSJ09~OOOuch, with the torn ear lobe! Kids are fast! I got my ears pierced with my Mom, at a mall kiosk, with the gun thingy's and the sound scared me the most. Just recently I have had to have my ears re-pierced though.

OK, it's a novel ... had something to say to just about everybody who had posted since my last 'novel'. I will start just NOT reading from where I left off. Too many posts in between. LOL! But I think I have had longer ones. I highlight the names, so if you don't see yours, you can 'skip' through it. RITFLMAO!!!!!

DJ – I have had chest pains and my MD gave me a Rx for ‘nitro’; I usually take an anti-acid like Alka-Shelter chews a couple of minutes before I take the ‘nitro’. I’ve only gotten up to 3 of them within 20 minutes once; and, thankfully had an appointment with him that very day. Did not have any more that day. He ordered an EKG on me, not the first; but, I also have anxiety attacks, so some of them are just that. But, better to be ‘safe’ than ‘sorry’. But, chest pains are scary, even if they don’t mean a thing. I broke my 11th rib (right under my left breast) and it will sometimes go into spasms – talk about miserable and scary; but, I can usually tell if it is a spasm.

CJ – I received the from a friend of mine; but, it did not show a website; I’ll type it up later; and, if you’ll PM me; I’ll send it to you that way. I use my laptop more than my desktop, so I don’t have the ability to scan it from laptop easily. It’d be just as easy to type it out. That goes for any of you.

Speaking of names: Le-Sia; how would you pronounce this? Lisa, Lesia, Lecee? This is a joke … “No, it is pronounced LeDashSia – the ‘dash’ is NOT silent." Reminds me of the lady in the bed next to me ‘in recovery’ after giving birth to my DOS … she had 3 or 4 other people with her; and, when the nurse came in and asked the baby’s name … she could not ‘think’ of how to spell it. She told her this convoluted name about as bad as the song in Mary Poppins. It was hysterical listening to all of them with their differing opinions about how to spell the name. Poor child. I listened to this for 15 minutes or so. Same nurse then came over and asked me the same thing. I told her that I did not have to give him a name while still woozy from giving birth. I’d make sure that he had a name before I left the hospital [a week later]. This is the same nurse that got upset with me because I could not pee in a bedpan – never have been able to; threatened to put a catheter in me; I told her to bring a ‘chair’ with a bedpan in it and I’d have no problem. She told me that I could not ‘get up’. I told her to call the OB/GYN – I was pretty sure I could get up; and, if I did – I’d pee; but, I would have had to have had a catheter to pee otherwise. At that point I really did not care, so long as SHE wasn’t the one doing it. OB/GYN told her to bring me a ‘chair’ to sit on. She wasn’t happy about it.

When I found out that my former DnL was going to name our oldest DGD “MacKenzie Taylor” after some daytime soap opera. I voice my idea that since “McKenzie” is a ‘family’ name that she should spell it that way; I also told her that ‘if’ she planned on calling her Taylor; then Taylor needed to be her first name. She always called her “McKenzie” or “Macky”. DGD ‘hated’ it; but, when she called her by all 3 names … she ‘knew’ she was in a lot of trouble and was going to get a spanking. My mother would look at me and the last name would always be mine. Growing up, I was called “SuzanneMargaretLenora … dammit, you know who I am talking to!” She did not do this to them. I wonder what my first grade teacher would have thought if I signed my papers that way? LOL! Bet that would have cured her for sure. My oldest child is a “III” and we have always called him “Trey” which my maternal grandmother HATED; and she said as he got older he’d hate it, too. But, he doesn’t. The only thing he does sign by his legal name are checks and legal documents. Both he and my youngest son have very distinctive signatures when signing their own names. Looks like they sign it, then scratch it out twice’ and then put the ‘slash’ make over the “e” in our name (André). I can’t believe that someone would name their child, “Latrine”. I’m sure she just asked to go to the “latrine” and the nurse thought it was what she wanted to name the baby.

I’ve stopped fighting medical places for referring to me as “Nancy”. I figure it is because they have to keep it so they won’t mess up medical records (or when the phone rings, they don’t ‘know’ me). The only MD that calls me “Lenora” is my GYN. My GP calls me “Mrs. André”; but he is significantly younger than I am and I’m sure he does that because down South it is meant as a respect thing. My sons’ friends always called me “Miss Lenora”; the same that I called my Mother’s friends “Miss So-and-so”. My DYGD’s name is spelled differently, and all her teachers still write out her name as “Emily”. It’s Emilee. I wish that my DDnL#1 had not spelled it that way; but, she thought it was ‘different’ and it is.

When my DOS got custody of his daughter … she ‘signed’ the petition ON her 14th birthday. For a long time, they would not allow her to talk to her mother without one of them listening in. Later on, the 1st sign of tears; and, the phone got taken away from her and ‘ex’ was told NOT to call back and upset her. She calls her, her ‘egg incubator’. She’s been embarrassed enough times to not want to have ‘anything’ to do with her. Middle child said that on her 14th birthday, mother got arrested. These girls have turned into being very smart, beautiful girls/young women … my oldest is now 20 … no longer a ‘girl’.

My Periodontist rubs something on my gums before he gives the shots to numb my gums. It still hurts a little; but, I cannot imagine having a root canal without some serious pain numbing medication. The only one I had … I could not feel my face for days; but, it was ‘numb’ when he did it. I had heard other horror stories about root canals.

Sylvia – Y’all can also ask that visitation be supervised, too. Which might not be a bad idea, especially since y’all ‘got custody’ of the children through the courts before he went back to her. She, now, since they reconciled has as much right to them as he does. It’s about the same as taking back a ‘cheating’ spouse after you have filed for a divorce … day counting starts over and settlement agreements a lot of time have to be changed. I don’t think that a lot of people take into consideration how leaving and coming back affect themselves and they ‘definitely’ don’t think about the children in a lot of cases. Children generally learn to not be able to show ‘feelings’ because they aren’t allowed to do so in a home that might be abusive. After 14 years of living with her mother; our DOGD isn’t the most ‘patient’ person I have ever met and she does not mind showing it either.
She’s pretty bossy because at the age of 5, she was changing diapers and feeding a newborn; because he mother would be too drunk or stoned to do so. Her relationship with her youngest sister (on her mother’s side) is almost mother/daughter-like. She also has 2 half-sisters on her Daddy’s side, too. Oldest of 5, with 5 years between them (on both sides). A lot of people look at relationships as temporary or throw away. You can’t throw away feelings when there are children involved. Most people do not understand that child support and child visitation at 2 separate issues. A person can never pay child support; but, would still be entitled to visitation and also pay child support and never exercise their visitation. A lot of settlement agreements have to be modified so that when one ‘ex’ moves away (or gets remarried and moves away) … they don’t lose contact with the children.

Another Miriam – My caloric intake is very low for me to lose weight; mainly because of all the medication I take that have the side effect of ‘weight gain’. I had to go into a MD ordered medical weight loss program; unfortunately, most insurance companies will not pay for weight loss (even IF you are doing it for your health).

Cheri – You’re probably right about needed to get someone ‘specialized’ to take old paint off your painted over woodwork. Most houses over a certain age (and it has not been that long ago) have lead paint. Shingled sided houses either have to be covered over or a specialist has to come ‘tent’ the house to remove the asbestos shingles. When my parents’ house was taken down; they had to cover it with materials and the people going inside had to wear hazmat suits. What really upset a friend of mine was that when they contracted to do this job; the church gave its members full run of the house; and all the windows and fireplaces had had chain saws taken to them. They had to re-do the contract. The house was a Civil War Hospital. They cut out the windows by chain sawing the entire windows, sills and all. She told me that the wavy glass in the windows was about $100 per square foot to them as salvage. Their contract was written that they would keep the salvage. She did get me a section of the footboards that had never been painted. It was inside a closet that was hidden by the bead board. It’s where my parents put their Christmas decorations. I had asked if we could get the bead board in the upstairs bathroom; but, she said that each piece had been nailed in and it was not coming apart easy enough for them to take the time to do it. I’m just glad that we got this 15-20 foot long piece of history of our house. That year I had my sisters a coat rack out of it. Got old coat racks. Wished that I could have found enough of the old brass door-knobs that had a design on them. The church members took everything that was not nailed down and then they did that, too. When I was little, I used to play under the house. There was a lot of mica under the house, I’d think I was rich every time I found a piece of it. I’m not sure I am spelling it correctly; but it peeled off in sheets and had a mirror effect to it. I brought out an old grate and when my parents asked me where I found it, I told them by the hole in the wall. They sent our maid’s son under there to find out what I was talking about as being a ‘hole’. It was a hole between the foundation of the house and the foundation of the wrap around porch. When he went under there he found 2 brass lights with the globes all wrapped up in sheets. They had hidden then during the Civil War to keep them from being stolen. Daddy had them wired for electricity and one went in the foyer and the other in the dining room. I hated that someone took so many very architecturally significant items out of the house. In fact, they had already sold some of it, for when they tore the house down. A friend’s former house around the corner had a house that was built during the same time-period and they were adding on to it; and, wanted to keep the architecture the same.

Also, when I was young, my parents would put on bridge/card parties every few months (they rotated with others) and she would have been ‘mortified’ to not use her good stuff. Not a show-off; but, it was china and crystal and silver or silverware. Nannie-L would work polishing it up for a week before; but when we got older, every Sunday meal we used the ‘good stuff’ for dinner (which is the ‘middle-of-the-day meal in the South). During the week lunch is lunch; supper is supper. Some people call their evening meal ‘dinner’. Just a lesson in Southernism. I don’t drink ‘sweet tea’ … because ‘sweet tea’ is different than ‘tea’. If you ask for ‘tea’, you usually are pointed to the different typed of sweetener on your table … or you will get SWEET tea. I mean SWEET – with pure sugar! I want mine with a lot of ice and unsweet. I'm not even sure they knew what paper plates or Solo cups were. We used jelly jars as glasses when I was young, too. So many products had gifts in them or ways you could use the containers. We 'burn' our trash; but, we can do it since we live out in the country; we just cannot burn the garbage; that has to be put in bags and taken away by the county.

Janetr72476 – Beautiful granddaughter and she’d make a ‘good one’. Make-up artist. She probably wants to take a break from school since she is rated #1 in her class academically. Our DOGD was the “Star Student” of her class. That was an Honor for her. She wished that she had studied her 9th grade year; but, that was the first year that DOS and DDnL#1 had her. A lot of what was being ‘taught’ she had already had the year before when she was in AP classes, so she did not try very hard. Being involved in extra-curricular activities was more important at the time. Then she got into competition with one girl in her class, who became the Valedictorian (but she also cheated a lot). We had to sit through some “Uncle Seuss poem” for her speech. People were nodding off. I think it took her 15 or 20 minutes to read it. I think it was the entire book. Tell her to make her speech ‘short, sweet, and to the point’. I’m sure if she is #1 in her class academically she’ll be the Valedictorian or at the least the Salutatorian. My DDnL#2 was a medical technician and got so tired of working till 8:00pm every night, not being able to go to her daughter’s school functions, being yelled or cursed at by the MDs, that she decided she wanted to go to cosmetologist school. She makes a lot more money doing that than she ever did at the hospital and she makes her own time and days. She makes about $500 a day; more if she is doing a wedding party. DYS doesn’t want her to work on Saturdays any more on a regular basis; so the ones she was doing on Saturdays come in later in the afternoon during the week (or on their lunch breaks). Mostly her male customers.

My granddaughter uses MFP and counts ‘macros’. I ‘think’ she over-eats doing it, especially since she is 5’ ½” tall and has definitely put on the Freshman 15 and never lost it. Now she’s trying; but, she almost looks bigger now than when she started. We no longer kid her about the “Freshman 15”; but, she told her middle sister on her mother’s side that she needed to start watching her weight because of it. She told her that it was a ‘real’ thing. She isn’t much taller and built the same way.

All 4 of us in our family have different color hazel eyes that turn different colors. Actually, husband’s eye have started turning gray; but, he does not have cataracts. His used to be brownish-green; and then would turn green if he was mad or upset. DOS’s are greenish-brown and turn brown for the same reasons; youngest sons are ‘light’ brown; but turn dark brown when he is upset. Mine, well they are amber-green … when I have more amber in them than green, watch out … I am about to let go of it to the nearest person around me. That is the first thing my DH looks at when I get up, if my eyes are green or if they are amber. They also turn this color if I am sick, too. Yellow means, ‘leave me the Hell alone’!

Linnellal – I thought they could only give you a certain number of those shots. I used to get a ‘call back’ from my OB/GYN when I first started going to him over 40 years ago; now, I talk to his nurse. He has called me before about a mammogram – scared the pee-willies out of me when I hear, “Dr. X wants to talk to you!” I guess I tend to think the worse since both sisters have had breast cancer. I believe he thinks I’ll feel better hearing from him, especially if I have a sonogram and their Radiologist is only there on Thursdays. I usually make my appointments for a mammogram on that particular day of the week, so I don’t have to ‘fret’ about it. They also put it down as a “Problem visit” and not a ‘physical’ so my insurance will pay for one yearly, that and a PAP smear.

Pip – can’t wait to see the ‘after’ pix.

Heather – still beautiful with a ‘new’ bed mate.

Karen from NY – I hope to have jumped past that plateau I’ve been on for a month. I’ve upped my walking to 40 minutes a day; today I walked 55 minutes. Told my DH that he was going to have to mow a path for me. I don’t want to run into a freaking snake or have “Cracker” do it.

Megblair1 – Are you using a laptop with a touchpad? I have a mouse on mine; because the touchpad is so irritating because it is so sensitive. I have to manually disable the touchpad every time I open the laptop up; or my thumb will hit the touchpad and that makes my typing disappear. Occasionally, I can get it back. Most times, not. It just goes into Cyber Hell. I’m sure there are some here that wish I’d hit the touchpad more often. LOL! Yeah, I’m a talker!!!

Husband is pissed right now because it suddenly started raining. Been sunny all day long. His golf cart is not covered; but, I I don’t see him jumping up to run out there and cover it. I’ve offered to help.

When my youngest son was a baby (up until he was 7-years-old) he had ‘febrile seizures’ like I did. Did not have to take his temp either … once it hit 101.1 … he had a seizure. We gave him Phenobarbital (Dilantin) and he would rock so hard in his bed that we had to screw it back tight in the mornings. I complained to his Pediatrician and he Rx’d Valium. I asked him which one us was supposed to take it and he told me ‘whichever one it does the most good for’. But, this is the same MD that when he had his first seizure and stopped breathing – told me to come to his office NOW! We were close enough to the hospital that before I hung up the phone with the EMTs I heard the sirens. We went to the hospital (who would not call the MD on call because they could not find anything wrong with him). Dammit, he STOPPED breathing!!!!! They told me to go home and watch him. I did just that. I sat in a chair by his crib with my hand on his back to make sure that he was breathing. MD told me to stay ‘in his office’ … that he’d be back in a few minutes. He came back and told me that the next time I took him to the hospital and they would not call the MD ‘on call’ to call him. And he gave me his wife’s telephone number. He also told me that he lived only a few block away from us (as he got older) and to bring him there if he had another seizure. I think I did that once. He finally outgrew them and I hope they don’t return to him as an adult.

We have a custom-made dining room table made out of heart-of-pine. It is beautiful and thankfully has just enough of a polish to keep from glasses making rings on it. It also has 2 leaves that fit into the ends of it for Thanksgiving and other big meals.

Penny – Maybe a "Jordmor" was actually needed. The stewardess might have told him that someone was having labor pains on the plane.

Well this morning I volunteered to help with the "Breakfast with the Easter Bunny" that was organized at our community center. There were us 4 servers, a bunch of people that wandered around helping and the food was cooked and donated by the Pig-N-Pancake Restaurant. So yummy stuff, for $5 and it was all you could eat. I had eaten my oatmeal cookies beforehand so I was good. Served about 200 people from 8:30 to 11:30 AM. Volunteering does a heart good

I did have a couple mini Snickers and a fun size of M & M's but I logged it! I really do have sweet teeth, not just a sweet tooth.... I whined to my husband that I wanted to eat ALL the sweet things I brought home from the breakfast, (they had left-over candy, can you believe it??). My husband promptly jammed all the candy in his pocket and left to hide them somewhere. I whined, "but, but, but".....he came back and said, "that is what you wanted me to do right?" I whined, "I guess so". He is such a trouper in this crazy weight loss journey I am on...

Well, my son is home for a week, so no afternoon delights I guess. HAHAHAHA! Maybe we will sent him out to run to the library though. *winks*

Only having $100 bucks for groceries for the rest of the month, which isn't long, but I had to be smart about grocery buying yesterday. I went thru all my pantry, freezer and refrigerator, and came up with meals. Then I bought ONLY items that would help what I already got, and enough for 14 dinners, and 10+ lunches. I actually wrote down all my meals, and we shall cross them off as we go. My son usually has free lunch at school, so I had to be inventive with him, plus making him oatmeal cookies shall keep the snack monster away. We have a food bank visit toward the end of the month, so that will be good. There is a fine line between getting some great items like veggies for a roast, or stir fry (I think it comes from restaurants and is packaged simply), and getting things that make me have to stay on point (sweet treat things). My son eats pretty healthy, as does my husband, so they are items for them, but they do not have a sweet mouth like I do. It's a struggle. If it was just me, my pantry, freezer and refrigerator would be sooo different than it is now.

I was escorted by the police (because I couldn't see). It was so much fun. Only a few screamers, but mostly kids running up to me and giving me big hugs. The down side is my head was too big for the costume and I was too tall and ended up with a wicked wedgie.

Did an hour of a Micah Hudson Quick Fit DVD. I would have liked something more full body and more of a challenge. But it's good for something different. It was more weights, which worked out well since I didn't do weights on Thursday. The plan for tomorrow is to do a Kathy Smith pilates for abs DVD.

Becca - good baking. I'm always on the lookout for a good (low cal) recipe.

katla - from what you describe as your neighbors now, the new ones can't possiby be any worse. I hope everything goes well for you. I've never been able to figure out how to post from my phone or my tablet.

janetr - have you thought about jerky? Many times I put tofu into my salad. It takes on the flavor of the salad dressing. Cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, egg whites, tuna. I like to have a piece of turnkey (Hormel seems to have the fewest additives) and a piece of low fat cheese inside it.

Marcelyn - I'm so sorry for your daughter. A while ago Denise hit the back bumper of this lady's car. Really, it wasn't bad, she was only going something like 15mph. However, this lady sued saying that she had whiplash and something about her child. I remember thinking, "shouldn't the child have been in a car seat". There is no way at 15mph she had whiplash. What happened in the end was that the insurance co. settled out of court. Guess they felt it was cheaper than going to court. I wish they had. I stopped in to the Y I used to belong to, they have two treadmills that you have to force the belt to move yourself. Looks interesting, I'd like to try it.

Betty - happy birthday from me. Hope you have a fantastic day!

CJ - there's a small airport near me, too. Just saying.....you're always welcome

kimses - I bet you'll be the cutest bunny there.

KJ - welcome to the "cheapie" club. I would do the exact same thing.

Right now I'm making the meatloaf for Vince. He'll have some of it Sat. and the rest I'll freeze. Afterwards I'm planning to make a pork roast.

pip - have you ever run backwards on the treadmill? I haven't walked backwards in quite a while. When I walk backwards, I do find that I need to lower the speed. Hey, I've waked backwards on the treadmill!

I called the ceramics place in Titusville (FL) to ask them to pour the angel fish for me thinking that my friend who is in Orlando might stop there and I wanted to give them time to pour it, clean it, and then fire it. Only she's not going to stop there so I'll have them ship it to me. Don't ask me why, but when I was down there she had this no-fire something that she puts on the ends of the water on the dolphin. Why I didn't pick it up then, I have no idea. But I'll ask her to ship that to me, too. Boy, I have a lot to work on, the mermaid, my starfish, now the angelfish.

Annette - welcome! What is refit? Is that like CrossFit?

Joyce - come in here for lots of motivation

Right now I'm making a pork roast for later in the week. Actually, the recipe calls for a 4lb roast. I didn't have that with me so I only bought a 2lb one. Well...I'll cook it for 1/2 the time. Think I'll get the coating for the fish ready to go in the oven after the roast is finished. Update: Well, my plan to cook the pork roast 1/2 as long didn't work out, it didn't come up to temp. Cut up the meatloaf into individual portions, have the fish ready to go in the oven when the roast comes out.

Miriam - have you ever tried having dried fruit? That's sweet.

hhof - congrats on the weight loss

Sad to say, but Jessica told me she'd lost weight (yea!) but she's still heavier than I am.

Had a major chocolate desire attack. So I opted to have a chocolate bran muffin rather than a piece of the fudge. I keep asking myself (thanks barbie), what is this going to do for my body?

Guess I'll work more on the beaded banner. I know I'm way ahead of myself, but the instructions about tapering don't make sense to me. I'll have to find a youtube video that shows how it's done. Guess I'm more of a visual person.

Heather - I've always said that the only thing in life that we HAVE to do is die.

CJ - sounds like a horrible tea I'm supposed to lector at the church today. Bet I'll be the "voice"

janetr - Jess has wanted to work with animals ever since I can remember. Honestly, she must have been about 9 or so when she first expressed an interest in animals. In high school she went to the vo-tech for animal science. I must say, Vince and I were not happy that she was going to a vo-tech. I think a lot of that springs from the feeling that vo-tech schools are for those who just want to get by. Well, that was a good background for her, now she's working for the NIH. I'm very proud of the work she has done with the animals.

Meg - Benny takes zonisamide? I thought that maybe that was something just for cats. Do you have to have it made up? We can only go to one pharmacy where they ground it up and put it into a capsule for us.

Had this mad craving for some junk food. Thank goodness there wasn't anything that I could find in the house. I just worked a bit more on that beaded banner, went to church where I lectored. The priest really speeded up the mass since with the Passion the Gospel is longer. He didn't even have a sermon. I know why, the Knights of Columbus were having some sort of bingo and they didn't want the food to get cold...lol

Anne - have fun at the party tonight

Jane - so sorry to hear you are in such pain. Good thoughts being sent your way

Lenora - Vince had nitro one time, and his bp fell so low that it was scary. Fortunately, he was in the hosp so they just put his head down.

Becca - you're amazing how you do so well with your food on such a limited budget. I'm impressed

    kimses - you're adorable!!!!!!

hope4beth - welcome! Congrats on the great loss so far. You CAN do this

Better Than Boullion - Chicken Broth, 1 tsp
Carrots - Cut and Peeled, 40 gram
    Bisquick - Dumplings, 2 dumpling
    total calories 139

Yummy dumplings, no chicken, no noodles, just carrots, but I have some left over (two extra dumplings) so I shall do something with them with rice tomorrow.

Fixed a steak all teriyaki'ed up and tater tots for son, and left over roast beef in a toasted outdoor bun with auzus sauce for husband. Some nights its like that. I have to face the facts that I do like to cook stuff.

Exermom- no, I haven't run backwards on the treadmill, I have walked backwards on it on an incline. I have run backwards outside tho.

I read up on what u could do to fix my issue, not a big one but still...
My experiment seemed to have worked! Now that I'm starting to run longer distances I was starting to get foot and toe cramps. I wanted to make sure that it wasn't due to my vibrams and it wasn't. I walked slow for 5 minutes first, then I ran 1-1/2minute mile slower than I usually run for the next 2 miles, then I ran my usual pace for the next 3 miles, then I took the ankle weights off, did another mile then ran at a faster pace for the next mile, then the last mile I went back down to running 1-1/2 minute MIKE slower than usual, then walk for 5 mutes. I ended up at an overall slower pace but that's okay.. No toe or foot cramp so far so it worked!

Kirby worked today, tomorrow he's off, so he's gonna do 6 miles and I'm due to do 8, we'll c

Hello everyone. It got really chilly here for the last two days. We've been spoiled lately with temps in the upper 60's and 70's, so we were surprised yesterday when driving to Kansas City and drove several miles in blowing SNOW. Today the high was 40, so it was a little better, but still, where did springtime go?

I had to laugh at hubby this afternoon. He was building a fire in the fireplace (we are at the cabin) and was trying to burn up a bunch of twigs and dead branches that had fallen outside. So, he was bringing in armloads of dry twigs and things and got a really roaring fire going. Then he went back out and dragged in a branch that must have been 15 feet long. And it had little branches sticking out all over, too, so it was a pretty big little tree. It was losing dead leaves all through the house, and he was knocking things over as he drug it along behind him. It was hilarious.

Some people are mistaken about something, and I want to clear it up. My son's current "wife" is not the mother of my grandchildren. She is crazy wife #2. The kid's mom is crazy wife #1. She is a whole different drama. This one has no claim to his kids and won't be looking for visitation. She does have a son of her own, who I've been thinking of as kind of a grandson. He's a nice kid and I feel sorry for him in all this. He must feel like a pinball, getting bounced around so much. I had promised to get him a bike for his birthday later this month, and feel badly that its not going to happen. I did email his mom and ask her if I could still do that and she said no. But I had to at least try.

We took the compressor up to the studio and took it out of the box. There are some bolts that need to be tightened before I try turning it on, and the tools are at home, plus I need to get some different quick-connect fittings for the new hose. So, tomorrow I will get to try it out. It seems so big, now that its in the space.

    Good night everyone. Sweet dreams!

Call me crazy but I love to see other people happy and succeeding .

    Good Evening Ladies,

Marcelyn, great pics of the grands.

Karyn, yes this time maintenance will be easier because of this group of supportive women and the fact that you will continue to log and exercise. You have the hang of it now and know what to do. Just sorry that last few pounds came off the way they did.

CJ, I hope the tea was good because the food sounds atrocious! Sometimes I think of that as a blessing when I go someplace that food is served. I agree with your positive thoughts for spring.

Janetr, beautiful DGD! And cute young man giggling over her shoulder.

Penny, funny story about the flight! Did anyone go forward???

Kay, if you see a bluejay you have better eyes than I do or a clearer picture.

Heather, that picture of Bea and her new friend is just precious!!!

Jane, so sorry to hear about your knees. I have a friend that had replacement and it changed her life. Like you say, you can’t live where you can’t walk. ((((Hugs)))) and prayers.

Kimses, you are one cute bunny!! *wink*

Pip, that is one clean, fluffy doggie.

Well it’s after 10 pm and still not a drop of rain. I sure hope we get a little overnight to help with the pollen and because it hasn’t rained in over 2 weeks and it’s getting a bit dry. I’m off to bed and wish you all sweet dreams.

Sending good thoughts for all of you and wishing you each a healthy and happy day. happy-spring-smiley-emoticon.gif

I don't know if my doctor is being mean or not. I rarely get to talk directly to him. I get to talk to his minions, his underlings, the staff. They tell me of his decisions. My doctor is the department head of Orthopedics at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Mn. He has a team of doctors working under him. He is the guy that ultimately makes all of the decisions. And I have to fess up that I kind of talked my way onto the surgery schedule. Of course I was talking to one of his underlings. And I had gotten the MRI report, which really does not look pretty (I was an RN in another life), and asked where we go from here...... he said we could do injections and PT...... I said I had done injections and PT. All had failed. Where do we go from here...... he said then we go to surgery..... I said when can we do it.... he said let me get the book..... And before you know it, I was scheduled for surgery. So maybe he got into trouble for that, I don't know. After a week and a half, I got a call that I was removed from the surgery schedule and I was going to be getting an injection. Well over my dead body. I have talked to his underlings and they are not budging. And I can't talk to my Doc because he was out of the country. His first day back to work will be the day I'm scheduled to see him for my injection. But we are going to have a conversation before he sticks me because I don't want an injection. Because I know that the injection is going to fail. Every steroid injection I have ever had has failed. And what good is an injection if it's only purpose is to mask the pain of the further damage that I would be doing to the knee by walking on it? It just doesn't make sense to me.

Are you in Minnesota? Have you thought of a second opinion? My husband is a medical lawyer n we use for knees only 3 doctors 1. Dr Tuttle. Twin city ortho. 2. Dr Anseth. Twin city ortho. 3 dr Boyd. TRIA
Good luck the injections never worked for me. Gayle Minneapolis

Janetr - My niece was determined to be a beautician at the age of 15/16. Her parents nearly went mad as she was an A student. She eventually decided to stay on for higher level exams and now is doing really well and has wider horizons. I supported her as I do think you can make something of any job, but just recently she has been to New York as part of her Photography programme, which was a bit of an eye opener. <3

I've got to watch the calories for a few days as my pesky pound is back. On track today. :)

We have a new Danish series on TV tonight. Danish is more or less the same as Norwegian, but the crazy pronunciation makes it unrecognisable. They sound as if they are swallowing pebbles. Impossible to imitate. I absolutely adored the Danish series BORGEN but couldn't stop laughing at the pronunciation. The only other language that makes me laugh like that is Portuguese. :D , which sounds like a mad, slurry Russian.

Half time England are winning 17- 12, but DH says France are the better team tonight. ;)

    Love Heather UK

PS Just got this pic of Bea's new friend. :D

Just want to hold her n give kisses!! Beautiful!

I had told someone that if she PM'd me, I'd share with her; but, then I thought what the heck ... I'll share it will all of you. Maybe you will be able to print it off somehow. Or hit 'quote' and save it to a word processing page/document.
