Jdkbs - I try my best to eat back every single calorie I earn through fitbit steps and have successfully lost about 17 lbs so far since January.

My fitbit broke this am won't keep a charge!!! It went black on me! Not going to let that stop me I was over 5,000 when it stopped had a great workout this morning! Good luck everyone!

I forgot my fitbit at home today. boo.. I know aprox how much walking a day is 10K now though lol

Me too... Its hard to get when I have a desk job!!! :)

I have a desk job as well and 3 kids at home but yesterday's steps were my highest yet cuz I utilized every second I could. So I went to bed with 23,323 steps. You can do this. It's all about mindset.
I Walk the longer way to the bathroom (briskly), take stairs instead of elevator, use 45-50 minutes of my lunch to make laps around the parking lot or halls or gym if that's available where u work. If someone wants to stop you to talk just say hey walk with me to the copier room, or canteen etc. Every hour, get up and move at least 5-10 minutes and you'll get your steps.

is it too late to join this?
also, is there a way to add the steps to mfp directly, or do you use a conversion somehow?

    thanks so much!

Love these ideas, thank you. I'm a teacher and have very few extra minutes but will try during lunch and prep. I'll start parking far away but need to leave time for the walk!

this is way harder than i thought, sitting at a desk all day definitely doesn't help. the closest i have gotten is 9080 steps. any suggestions for ways to move more? also, sometimes i forget to walk with my phone when i take the dog out.

@jessiferrb can you take a walk during the day, doesn't have to be long, just 10-15 mins

I too have found this much harder than I thought, because of my desk job. I also use my phone and don't take it everywhere with me which doesn't help. Maybe use your lunch hour to get some walking in!

    Good luck!

I lost my Fitbit and forgot about using my phone. I will try and track with my phone tomorrow. I don't always carry it, I often leave it on a table while I work. I miss seeing how much I have moved during the day.
