I'm 23, 5'7, and I have a LOT of weight to lose. I've lost juuuust over 10lbs so far, but I'd love to have some lady friends with similar goals so we can work together
(Men are also welcome! I just wanted to to specify my own goals so that I can work with women in the same boat as me)

I'm 29 5'3" and also have A LOT of weight to lose. I've lost about 15 pounds so far. This is my second go around on MFP. The first time I wasn't committed and gave up quickly. I've don't much better this time (started 2/19/16) and hope to keep up the momentum. I'll send you a friend request!9

Hi. I've just come back in here for a second time around! I also have a lot of weight to lose! I'm getting married next April and really really want to stay focused this time!! I'd love to join in with you guys if I may!4

I'm on the same journey. I have health issue that require weight loss in order to have surgery. Losing some weight first cuts down the risk. I was diagnosed with trachea stenosis due to severe acid reflux. I'm going to have surgery to correct the reflux and then get the surgery done on the trachea. I start seeing a dietitian tomorrow and hopefully have a better plan for quicker weight loss that doesn't sacrifice my health in the meantime.
I started using the food diary and calorie counter and it's working great. I love it!5 -

Hi! I'm 18, 5'3" with almost 115 lbs to lose. Its been very tough for me being obese through the majority of my childhood and struggling with depression. My therapist recommended I try a group this time around and you all came at the perfect time.5

Welcome Niania97048 - Sounds like this could be the right community for us both! I can relate to what you have said. We are making a change and we are going to achieve our goals.4

I am in the process. I have been on this journey for a little over a year. I have lost 100+ and looking to lose about another 100. One thing that has been a blessing to me is the fact that I do have so much weight to lose. Because it is not a quick fix for me, I have had to learn to change my way of thinking and eating. Feel free to add me. I am always open for positive motivated people.8

Hello All - I am 35, 5'6" and would like to lose 75 to 90 more pounds. I have struggled with my weight all my life and have tried "diets" numerous times throughout the years. I too struggle with health issues and medications that have put on pounds that in turn make my health issues worse - I am sick of this cycle and ready for a LIFE change! I started my new WOE on March 7th and have already lost 15 pounds and even more pleasing, I feel so much better already. I would love to have some friends to share this journey with!1

Adding everyone! You all are so awesome1

Hello! I'm 25 years old and I'm 5'10", looking to lose 50lbs (or more, preferably). Not quite in the 100+ club, but I really need some motivation/accountability. I've gained about 25lbs in the past few months, and need to stop the downward spiral. I very recently joined this site to start recording how terrible my diet is, and where I need to fix things. I never have time to cook and I'm terrible with vegetables (I swear I buy them, and the next minute I look at them and they've gone bad). Just knowing there are people around who are in the same boat and can see my progress - or lack thereof - is something I hope will help myself and others.2

Hello Everyone!!! I'm 5'9" and I'm looking to loose about the same. I am down 27.8 so another 86lbs or so. I would also love to have a few friends on my journey. Would anyone mind if I sent them a friend request??1

Hey all! Me too! I'm 29, 6'2" and looking to lose 100+. I'm getting married next March and have never been more dedicated. I've lost about 30lbs since I started in January. But some accountability buddies would be great! Nice to meet everyone!1

I think this may be my first post...I've been on this site for years, yo-yoing the whole time. I'm 27, 5'5", and I currently am looking to lose around 100 pounds and I'm at the heaviest I've ever been. I don't even recognize myself right now when I look in the mirror. Accountability would be great! Good luck everyone!3

I'm in the boat with a LOT of weight to lose. I lost 10 pounds quite a while ago and kept it off, but stalled out. I'm super motivated to get back on track to lose the other 70 or so pounds and the more company the better since I'm terrible about being accountable to myself and no one else!0

Hi everyone . I'm 46 5ft 3 with a 125 lb to loose . Looking for people in the same boat . Any requests welcome ☺️0

I just wanted to say thanks for starting this post. Thanks for sharing the same goal and hopefully I have managed to send requests to you all. "United we stand, divided we fall" So in keep with the motto, let us motivate and inspire each other to lose each and every pound unity and collaboration.3

At my heaviest I was 253 pounds - I started this journey on the 4th of January at 209.8, I am now 189.1, my goal is to get down to 143. Just under 50 pounds to go. I know it's not 100+ but I have been there and know what it's like. I'll add all of you lovely ladies.3

Hi! Welcome! Feel free to add me if I haven't already added you! (At your own risk). I'm moody, mouthy and looking to lose 130 lbs. I've lost 30 of those already. I'm moving a low slower than a lot of people as I'm in school full time and work and therefore require energy for brain function and time management ninja-ing. I figure slow is better than not at all.6
-
Feel free to add me too. That goes for anyone. I have been on here for about two weeks and have started to lose, but 75-90 pounds to go!1
-
Hi all!
I'm 34 (rapidly approaching 35!), 5ft 6in, and from the U.K. I started on 12th January at 308lbs and I have lost 32lbs so far. I still have over 100lbs to lose so feel free to add!
This is about my 3rd attempt on MFP but its by far my most successful - 80day streak and no signs of slowing down or giving up - something just feels different this time around and I'm confident I'm gonna get to goal!

Ah! I am soooo excited to work with all of you I can't wait to see everyone reach their goals and continue their healthy lifestyle!2

Hey Everybody, or should it be every buddy. I saw a dietician on Friday. She listened to what my goals were regarding the surgeries I need and the weight loss I must do first. My big issue is portion sizes. She went over what a serving size is with the cute models of foods. I learned what a serving of meat actually looks like. Honestly, I had no idea!
She also gave me a plate with 3 dividers in it, one slot for veggies, one for protein, and one for grains. I find it very useful for it gives me a visual of how much a portion is.
I learned I was even over doing the coffee creamer. I was just pouring it in until it was extra sweet. No wonder I wasn't losing weight.
I also start a support group at the local hospital for people like us who need to lose 100 or more. I've done the program before and gleaned a lot from it but it's time to go back and pick up where I left off.
It focuses on the psychology of over eating as opposed to the external approach of just counting calories and eating foods deemed healthy.

I'm the same age and height as you. I'm down 87lbs with another 50 to go. Feel free to add me4

I have been losing weight for 2.5 years now, I have gone from 345lbs to 225lbs. I am 5'5" and it has helped me so much in the way I feel physically and mentally. I am still going down and working towards getting down to 180lbs right now but I want to get down to 150lbs eventually.6
