Someone at work asked me if I'd been losing weight! It was a little awkward but at just under 30 lbs down I was happy that someone noticed12

Had lipid and metabolic lab tests today. Just got a note from my doctor that my results are ALL in normal range!! My cholesterol and glucose have been high for the past 3-4 years and I have fought against any medication because I knew it could be brought under control with lifestyle (but didn't follow through). I have reached a huge milestone!!
I could have written this word for word! Huge congratulations!9 -
I sat cross legged and didn't fall backwards! My back has always been so weak it would just arch and pull me down. I felt settled and in good form11

Took my beautiful, almost 8 year old, daughter out for her first "run" with mom. It was awesome we warmed up and did a run/walk interval around our neighborhood park for 2.1 miles. She did great and talked and chatted to me the entire time!!
I see a lot of runs together in our future! I'm going to get her running shoes for her birthday next month!! Best thing about my healthy lifestyle is knowing that my four beautiful daughters are watching, learning and enjoying a new more active life too!!
Love hearing this! You are a wonderful role model for your children!1 -
I so wanted to zip by some fast food place for comfort food this morning but resisted the urge -- passing up at least 6 such establishments. The thought of saving calories and money won over my emotions!10

Normally when I go on my runs I either go by myself or my husband gets on his bike and we put our son in the pull along cart. But last night he wanted to actually run with me so we put the kiddo in the jogging stroller. I ran at a talking pace (which I've never really had a "talking pace" before so I am super excited!) and my dh didn't outrun me! He has always been a natural runner and can take months off then jump back in and not ever get tired or winded and it used to piss me off....this time I could tell he was struggling a little bit and just didn't want to admit it so I pulled back
Also I know this is scale related but "ONE"derland! (and also a first big goal of mine!)16 -
The skirt that I'm wearing at work is sliding down every time I walk.
It's a good thing, but.... kind of wish I had back up clothing stashed in my locker. Or suspenders. Skirt suspenders.19 -

Same issue, but I'm quickly approaching the threat of pants around my ankles!7 -

Last night, my roommates discussed getting bagels for breakfast. I adore bagels and wanted to go with them - for a moment, I thought to myself "I can't, too many calories, oh well" and then I got really bummed about missing out on the fun. So I replanned my food for the day to make it fit. Totally satisfied, under goal, and got my bagel!27

Good for you!!!
I do this, too. I'm much more likely to sustain my weight loss if I can eat what I want and make it fit.4 -
The weather today allowed the wearing of a sleeveless top to work. Colleagues said, "Carnhot, have you been lifting weights? Your arms are great." Since my arms are an area of unhappiness for me, that was a good thing to hear. Also, I have been offered a new job; slim, confident me aced the interview.17

Trying to walk to and from work this month - trying to get rid of my last 8 lbs... a friend of mine drove by me on my way home and I almost/almost/almost jumped into his car! I managed to resist and got in 115 minutes of walking today! Earned my glass of wine, lol.12

Had an echocardiogram and stress test and the old ticker is perfect working order. As the cardiologist put it, "The results are good, very good for your age." (I could have actually done without the last part of that remark. )19

This week I had an interntional meeting with a a few lunches and dinners. At the lunch I only had one small plate of food, skipped the fried rice and loaded up on veggies. And though it was delicious I only returned to re-fill my glass with water12
