I got over my anxiety of thinking they would judge me because I don't look like a runner and went to get fitted for running shoes! Can't wait to try them out (and the experience of getting fitted was great and not something I should have been anxious about)
Also realizing that I am now a person who owns different gym shoes for different workouts is boggling my mind a bit... 2 months ago I didn't run to catch a bus7 -
I couldn't wait to come on this morning and contribute something to this thread, because I had two NSVs last night. My daughter and I went to the Subway in town last night prior to her dance class. I used to never like eating there because the booths seemed unusually small and my stomach rolls would be smushed up against the tables. Well last night - for the first time - they didn't! I was able to enjoy dinner with my daughter comfortably! While my daughter was at dance, I went to the gym. Normally I go on the elliptical for about 30 minutes and I am really tired. Last night, I pushed myself to do 60 minutes! I was so proud of myself. I would have done a happy dance at the gym, but my legs felt like Jello afterward and I'm pretty sure I would have collapsed!
This was all great timing, because I only worked out once last week and didn't eat the greatest for the last week, so I really wanted to kick my butt into gear again as I had gained a couple of pounds. I have never been very successful at sticking to the program once I fall off the wagon, so these NSVs were exactly what I needed!12 -
had a birthday pool party to go to and, on a whim, tried on a bathing suit i haven't worn in many years...and it FIT!
tried on a shirt i haven't worn in years and it also fit!!
down 1 jeans size (luckily, i like many women, have several sizes available in my closet LOL).
these have REALLY helped me because the scale hasn't budged much...i am working out hard 4 days a week, so i know it's because i'm building muscle while losing fat.
cheers to all of you, what a great topic!5 -

Walked 95 minutes today instead of 75!5

After a busy bad off track stressful pms week I got right back on track without missing a beat! Previously this would have been the end of my efforts.10

I feel like I have a tapeworm today, even after just eating I'm still hungry! The NSV is despite being in the mall during lunch at the food court where I could have easily picked up something else after I ate my planned sandwich and oven baked chips from Subway to satisfy my ongoing hunger....I didn't!7
-
Had lipid and metabolic lab tests today. Just got a note from my doctor that my results are ALL in normal range!! My cholesterol and glucose have been high for the past 3-4 years and I have fought against any medication because I knew it could be brought under control with lifestyle (but didn't follow through). I have reached a huge milestone!!29

Ran a 10k charity run on Sunday- went for my first run in 2 years at the end of January so really happy that I ran the whole 10k- not setting any speed records but am getting fitter, and raised €230 for a good cause.
Running is easier when you're lighter
Am loving this thread- keep it going!10 -
I'm actually looking forward to bathing suit shopping soon!7

I was swimming laps at the local pool and a coach was covering one of the lanes. I popped out of the pool to help. Every other time I've gotten out of the pool I've used the ladder.
Such a tiny thing, but it felt great.10 -
Took my beautiful, almost 8 year old, daughter out for her first "run" with mom. It was awesome we warmed up and did a run/walk interval around our neighborhood park for 2.1 miles. She did great and talked and chatted to me the entire time!!
I see a lot of runs together in our future! I'm going to get her running shoes for her birthday next month!! Best thing about my healthy lifestyle is knowing that my four beautiful daughters are watching, learning and enjoying a new more active life too!!
This is the definition of quality time! This is wonderful for both of you!3 -
Hey everyone. I have recently been slipping off of the wagon since maintenance. My NSV for today would be...I worked out when I did not want to. I also did not take a nap!12

My husband took a picture of me then showed me. I was surprised to see the muscle definition in my arms. After 2 months at the gym, I really thought it would take longer for such great results!7
-
I went to yoga last night, even though all afternoon I was coming up with reasons not to go.11

My wife told me this morning that I snore less through the night. Less weight on the neck and my log sawing is declining!13

Ditched the bra extender this week!13

I have a couple:
100 day streak of logging on MFP
The past 3 weekend I've been walking a trail in the hills, the first weekend it was the full 10.5 mile loop. The parks service has shut off access past the 3 mile bridge (rain damage) so I started working on keeping track of the time and working to improve my time on the 6 mile loop. The first was 1hr 50 minutes and last weekend I improved it by 4 minutes down to 1:46. This is a loop that my fitbit credits me with 70 flights of stairs so it's rolling terrain.
I've moved my belt in 2 notches and am wearing a pair of loose 36" pants that I'd previously put up due to them being too tight.
Bought my first t-shirt in size L in more years then I can remember and it fits well.
Going to lunch today with my co-workers to Pizza Hut, I decided to pre-log the meal so would know how much pizza I could have before I switch to salad. (note: 2 small slices but I'm not as upset at that thought as I though I might be)

I bought a t-shirt this weekend that was a size M. The last t-shirts I bought were size 1X. No more plus sizes for me.14

Everyone at my job is coming to me for advice on how to lose weight. I just tell them simply counting calories and exercising 4 days a week.8
-
I am able to take off my pants without unbuttoning or unzipping. I am not going to buy new ones until I get to my goal. In the meantime I hope my belt continues to hold my pants up.9
-
Wearing a new top today that I could not have fit in a few months ago.6
-
My goal size 16 jeans can be zipped up and buttoned, when last week I couldn't even get the zip to budge. Can't wait until when I can actually sit in them...8
-
Went into Express to try on a few outfits and they all fit!8
-
Passing up the Dr. Pepper and Kit Kats my Dad keeps stocked for us when we visit. Had a Diet Dr. Pepper and brought my own air popped popcorn.8
-
My assistant's DH brought doughnuts in to work this morning. I could've had one, by planning for the extra calories, but I didn't. I just ate the snack and lunch I packed and passed up the Krispy Kremes (some of my favorites!) To make it even better, instead of obsessing on them like I normally would, I forgot all about them until I went into the breakroom to heat up my lunch, by then I didn't really want any.11
