Wonderful feeling when you meet new people who didn't know you before... you realize they know the 'new' you.

Bit of a silly one, this. I watch music videos on my iPad when I'm on the treadmill. 40lbs ago, I couldn't go past 8.5kph without the tremors from my footfall sending the iPad flying. Today I was at 12kph and it didn't budge an inch.18

This is mostly a scale victory but my BMI is officially out of the "obese class 2" range!! Hasn't been there in about 4 years14

Officially dismissed from needing to see kidney specialist today...largely in part to over an eighty pound loss with healthy eating and no bariatric surgery!26

When standing up from a seated position, I no longer have to obsess about making sure my shirt is pulled down just right to cover everything. I just stand up, and it usually falls down on its own. And if it doesn't, it's no big deal because I have nothing to hide! Such a liberating feeling!
Cant wait until that day. I never realized how much I obsess about pulling my shirt when I stand until you mentioned it.4 -

I finally got over my fear of going to the gym and made my first trip tonight. I was in love! I'm so excited to start going to the gym. I don't know what I was afraid of.21

Isn't it a fantastic feeling. I joined the gym a month and a half and love the place. Could not go for a week and a half and missed it. I hope you'll love it as much as I am. Good luck with this step in your journey3 -
Over 30 lbs down, and went to a circuit training class and finally felt strong and pretty fit again!9

This morning I completed W7 D1 of c25k and my husband told me he is so proud of me. Also I've inspired him to wake up earlier every morning to exercise. So proud of him!17

Haven't lost much weight but my monthly average resting heartbeat (according to fitbit) has fallen from 78 average to 68 average! I'm definitely getting healthier

Employee appreciation week at my work. Feed us a meal each day and some cool door prizes. Today is pancake breakfast, served to us by the managers. Smelled so good! So I got a weird look when I asked for it, but I still walked away with just a cup of joe and another cup filled with blueberries. mmmmmmmmm.8

I took 34 seconds off my 5k time this morning, which is HUGE. I'm not sure what came over me but I was crushing it. Current PR is 29:08, my next goal is to get below 28 minutes. Hopefully by the end of summer!15

earlier this week, i hurt my back at the gym and i haven't been able to exercise since (i have a bad back, so this isn't the first time this has happened). in fact, i've been in a great deal of pain. my nsv is that this situation would've definitely thrown me off my game in the past and i would have used it as the perfect excuse to eat crap and generally do exactly the wrong things. this time, i've kept to my calories...even eating LESS knowing i'm not burning what i usually do through exercise...and have lost .4 pounds since the injury!16

Wow! Sounds strange to say 34 seconds is huge but it is!! Greatest feeling ever! I am working to get a sub 30 minute 5K now too. Keep up the great work!

Nice! Sadly I know exactly what you're going through. Hope it's a short lived problem this time.

I can cross my legs again without the top leg slipping off constantly! I also had to have my dad punch two extra holes in my belt, and those holes are now too big as well.

Had a shocking one the other day...
I've lost over 40 lbs and my business suits are literally falling off of me. I went in to buy some new suits, and when they measured and fit me, they put me into a slim fit suit!!!
Was NOT expecting that...21 -

I read something on Facebook the other day..."a well tailored suit to a woman has the same effect lingerie has for men"....great job!5 -
The trainer who teaches my HIIT class was impressed with my progress that he offered me a free P.T. session (he knows I'm a poor grad student and can't afford personal training). I had my session with him today and he couldn't stop talking about how amazed he was at how far I've come and how much fun it is for him to teach me. I'm actually kind of tearing up a little thinking about it. Those comments meant more to me than anything I've accomplished so far on my journey. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't wait until I've finished saving up $$$ for some P.T. so I can really push myself.17

Overhearing my husband talking to someone; I distinctly heard him say "I think Tracy will still be running and working out when she's 75".....I'm not sure why that made me feel so good, but it did, and it felt like a sort of success. I've been working out since I was 12 or 13, with short periods of inactivity, usually caused by injury or babies. But I didn't think he was really paying attention; 22 years shacked up with me, I thought he just kind of puts up with my fitness obsession. But it seems he actually gets me14

Put some beige slacks on that I couldn't even zip up last year (in fact button fell off lol)...this morning thought I might wear it with a top that went with it...took one look in the body length mirror and decided it was a bit toooo slack lol...5

Yesterday I bought a pair of leggings and jeans in UK10 (US6)! The leggings of course was a perfect fit but the jeans just a little way to go. Haven't been a 10 in about 7 years! Oh and my hip bones are actually sticking out now. Crazy8
