Not everyone gets keto breath.
My pee smells like bacon and I like it.
You like bacon?
Or you like pee that smells like bacon?0 -

Can't we all just get along and respect the different ways that people eat without attacking it??? *shrugs*
Where do you think you are? Somewhere that is not mfp?
Thanks for the continued updates. Not something I want to do, but it's always interesting to hear about others experiences.5 -

Man made it to this point eating what he could get to his mouth which was in many parts only raw meats. If carbs were required for good health in humans then they would be a required part of every macro.
Peer reviewed studies are the opposite of personal opinion. By definition and the standard guidelines, they are are vetted by a group of peers and must be reproducible in a similar environment. What has been linked here, and what many on this site seem fond of, are blog pieces that confirm a particular opinion but are not scientifically validated.
I'm also not understanding your last sentence. Carbs are a macronutrient. How can they be a required part of every macro?
Clarifying for those not familiar with peer review and the biological sciences.
The above about peer review is all correct. However the bolded might be misunderstood. There is no requirement to demonstrate reproducibility prior to publication. The paper submitted must contain sufficient detail for the research to be reproduced if the resources are available. Papers are subject to challenge should other researchers attempt to reproduce the work and fail.3 -
Seems like an Adkins kinda thing, seems like a heart attack.2

My pee smells like bacon due to being in ketosis. Or slightly cupcakey. I do not eat bacon very often.
Keto without bacon is pointless.1 -
A question asked to famous broadcaster Al Michaels and his response:
Question:You are not a fan of vegetables. But if you must have two on your plate, they are?
Answer:I have never eaten a vegetable in my life and you can put that on my tombstone. Ask John Madden about the night I ordered French Onion soup in Green Bay and asked them to hold the onions. They got it right – just the broth, cheese and crouton. Delicious. If you threatened me at gunpoint and insisted I have two on my plate, one would look like a big, juicy Porterhouse and the other would look eerily similar to lemon meringue pie.2 -
I am not much of a meat eater...my diet is mostly pescatarian, although I will eat a little poultry now and then. But I can't imagine a diet of only meat. Even if I enjoyed the taste of meat, I would miss the texture of other foods. I can't imagine never again experiencing the satisfying crunch of a raw veggie, or the way a simple cracker just melts in your mouth. I would miss the sensation of sweet sticky juice dribbling down my chin as I bit into a piece of fruit. Sweet, salty, sour...you just don't get all those flavors from meat alone. It would take all the joy out of eating.3

Wonder if that family of 4 eats grass fed, grazed, orgainc beef? If not, than that's a heck of a lot of hormones each day.0

Not really. Even the elevated hormone levels seen in the meat of hormone-treated cattle are still only around a nanogram or two per serving, compared to your own body which produces about half of a milligram per day (a milligram being 1,000,000 ng).
In terms of hormones, plant phytoestrogens are vastly higher in concentration than any animal product, whether given extra hormones or not.5
