The house is to be kept neat and tidy at all times and me wait on him after all he does work hard all day. Not to say he does not do the same for me at times because he does I am very spoiled. But, I get left A list every morning and everything on that list is to be done when he gets home unless I am not feeling well or something comes up and I just can't get it done. But I am very devoted to my husband and most of the time get everything done.
I hope chit chatting on MFP is on the list! I would be worried about that *kitten* paddling.....
To each their own. Couldn't be me.4 -
my list is all done1

I'm sorry... I am officially creeped over this list thing....5

Or if you are trolling all of us, I'm going to wish a chimpanzee pees into your noodle soup when you didn't notice.
inspect like the "white glove test"0 -

Does sound way controlling.....now lets here the intimate demands, lol5

I can see if she's had a brain injury needing reminders, I worked with a woman who had a brain injury and I'd often give her little reminders of what she needed to be doing or she'd go off on a weird tangent but this list does seem a bit much and the wording from the original post does seem to indicate some sort of control issue. So send your troops!!! and I didn't know that there were organizations that did this sort of thing6

I am over-the-top happily married. Best. Husband. EVER.9

This isn't a brain injury list... she defended having to do it by the time he comes home. That he does a lot for her so she does that for him. She may have had a brain injury but there is more going on here.2

Why would HE need to leave that list though? She could easily make a list herself... something smells I think.0 -
believe me he is not a control freak . I can do what I want! It's called a 1950's style of living and making my husband happy because I want to! The list are made to help me and keep me focused. It is something we agreed on to help me. I don't know why people always think its abuse I know what abuse is. I was in a bad relationship were I got the *kitten* beat out of me and was emotionally abused that's why I suffer with PTSD now and have memory loss from head trauma. And still seek out therapy my therapist thinks its great that my husband makes list for me to help keep my focused.7

There's a reason that sort of lifestyle was left back in the 50s.
Sorry for your trauma but I think as others have said you've just gone from the frying pan into the fire5 -

To each their own... I'm content if I get a pair of pants put away doing laundry. You can't force a sinking ship to float.3

Cool!! That put a smile on my face1 -
So this morning I measured a loss of 43 lb. After checking in and planning my meals I got on the treadmill and started working. I had heard Mrs showering and shortly after I began my session she came down and hopped on the new stepper-glider next to me. After a few minutes here's the conversation:
Her: "I've burned 6 calories".
Me: "That's not a cookie".
Her: "How many for a cookie?"
Me: "About 100".
Me: "I've gotten below 230. I'm now at 229.6"
Her: "If I get that big can I have a cookie?"
Me: "I'll spank you if you get that big."
Her: "Oh, that sounds fun. I'll start eating now!"
Me: "I'll spank you right now!"7 -
mangamadayan wrote: »So Jerome's her can never get chubby? What if she does?
Duh if she does she gets spanked.1 -
How long have you all been married? 23 years for me4
-
11 for me. I realized yesterday if I had stayed married to the first husband it would have been 17 years this year. thank goodness that ended after 34
-
So I've had two boyfriends in my life and I am married to one of them...haha. Married 21 years last Friday...been together since I was 17, so 24 years total. I still call him my boyfriend and he still makes me feel like the only girl in the world...he's a keeper at least for another 50 years or so.9

Side bar: why are so many people hung up on the 1950s? Just once I'd love to hear "I have a 1920s marriage".6
