@gam3rguy I am totes jealous of your fire jumping. Maybe someday I can do something like that.
Today I conquered the dreaded c25k week 5 day 3. That's 20 consecutive minutes of running. I thought I would have trouble, but I actually killed it and came back for more. I'm getting closer to being a real runner!1 -
HIIT it today. 2 rounds of 50 squats,10 burpees, 40 sit ups, 10 burpees, 30 lunges, 10 burpees, 20 DB snatches, 10 burpees, 10 bear crawls.
Challenging.
@RespectTheKitty - You BECAME a runner the day you started running! Don't sell yourself short. When someone asks you what you do for exercise be sure to let them know you are a runner!
Smoky skies today from the fires in Fort MacMurray. Smokey smell and the sky has an orange tint to it. They have evacuated 90,000 people. I am grateful to have woken up in my own home this morning.1 -
agree with 60to35, RespectTheKitty...you ARE a runner.1

thanks alf & RespectTheKitty!

Chest and triceps then a 40 minute run on the mill watching Wednesday's episode of Survivor- my secret obsession.
Does anyone else find tricep push-ups extremely difficult? I have to (gulp) do them on my knees and then I can barely squeak out 12 per set.0 -

I had a scary end to my week.
I will post later....but, I have a tumor on my right ovary. 8 cm (size of an orange).
Maybe this explains the bizarre string of symptoms. ... Anyway, hope it is not cancer.
Several dr's appts, this week. An MRI is the next step.
i am still lifting. BOOM!

@Beeps2011 , hugs and well wishes your way. There's a very good chance it's a cyst, they're common and can have a lot of effects on your health, but are relatively easy to be dealt with. I just went through bloodwork and u/s a few months ago for worries as I had a cyst before, but it went away. Seems to be a trend, a friend at work just had surgery to remove a large cyst and another (the same week) who has had the surgery before ended up off a couple of days sick as she had a cyst rupture. Keep lifting and stay strong!
I actually tried hot yoga today. I like it, I'm not good at it, and I look like I stood in a downpour (only not smelling as good), but I like it. I'm hoping this will help some of the (becoming) chronic pain in my shoulders and hip flexers. A lifetime of sitting at a desk and only so much kettlebells and kickboxing can do. Though I could have concentrated better if the girl beside me wasn't a size 0 with not even any rolls when doing a fold (yes you could see as she was very cute and fashionable in her sports bra and capri leggings). Oh well, at least I didn't fall over or faint.0 -
Hard to maintain calories and exercise this weekend. Working a major national chess championship. Long hours and difficult to get enough rest. But the event went well and I didn't go nuts on eating.0
-
best of luck to you Beeps.0

Too much food and drink Saturday followed up by a 10 mile run Sunday to adjust the average0

...it or sure is NOT "a cyst" because it is a solid mass.
But, that does not mean "cancer", necessarily....maybe 5-20% chance it is cancer. I like 8's, so will presume I am in the eighty per cent!
Back and chest day. BOOM!0 -

Didn't do too much this weekend. Managed an 8 mile run on Saturday, but that's it. Did a lot of eating out. Birthday parties, Mother's Day dinners (Sat & Sun) and Mother's Day breakfast. So.....fasting today. Have a mani / pedi after work, but am hoping to get some sort of physical activity in today.0

been absent for the past week. Still working out and biking; did a 70k ride on Saturday. While exercise is good eating has been a bit over the top. I would still like to drop 10-15lb for the fabled six pack but not unhappy with where I am.
Have to finish staining and sealing the front doors and then try and work out of the house to avoid food temptation.
Hope Mother's day was good for all the moms here. We did a picnic at 3rd beach in Stanley Park and the kids swam. Swam! on May 8th! Kids and tourists only in the water.
