Even top athletes need rest days. Don't beat yourself up over it. Just do what you can, and if you need to rest it, rest it. Not worth making the injury worse by overdoing it. You are in this for the long haul.
I am probably resting tomorrow due to my back (we'll see how it is in the morning). I have a race on Sunday and really wanted to get a paddle in today, but wasn't going to push it and make it worse, so took it easy and did some no-impact cardio for a few minutes instead of my usual longer workouts.4 -

Due to a strain in my back and my shoulder, I'm declaring today a rest day, except for my plank challenge. Tomorrow I have a SUP race, so hoping I'll be fine for that.
1 June: 90 min stand up paddleboarding (no break - 3.55 miles); 1 min plank (30 day challenge - Day 9) = 91 minutes
2 June: 37 min biking (4.6 miles / 8mph); 23 min strength training (bands and kettlebell); 5 min stretching; 1 min plank (30 day challenge - Day 10) = 66 minutes
3 June: 31 min gazelle machine (2 miles); 1 min plank (30 day challenge - Day 11) = 32 minutes
4 June: rest day; 1.5 min plank (30 day challenge - Day 12) = 1.5 minutes
Total: 190.5 min out of 1440 min

I'd say it's up to you! If you feel like you want to count it, then do! I do some exercise with my kids that I don't count as it is just too slow for my liking. But there are others who say count it.... The challenge is just meant to get you moving.

2/6: 30m 21d fix; went for a walk with the kids that ended disastrously- the girl had an accident and we had to head back home in a hurry!
3/6: 50m bike- super tired. Was surprised I was able to get anything done.

Thanks for the healing thoughts. Was able to race today, but took it easy since it was a casual race. A bit choppy since we're starting to see the outer bands of TS Colin, so had to kneel for about half the race (into the wind). Walked around the village where we raced after, but not logging since we were just strolling around checking out the shops (but it was probably about 1.4 miles of walking). A good day.
