I've re-discovered the fun of clothes shopping. Bought a pair of jeans for the first time in about 6 years

On Tuesday I saw a friend of my son's who I haven't seen since last May when they graduated. He was with his dad and I stopped and said hi and asked how college was going. He was polite, but not as friendly as I remembered him being. Yesterday I saw them again at the park and they both complemented me and said that when they saw me the day before they didn't realize who I was until after I had left.24

I reached my first running goal of running 5 mins, walking 2 for 45 mins. When I started i could barely run one min! Also a month ago I tried to put on this black top but the sleeves were too tight, wore that shirt to a party on Friday18

got my squat up to 100 pounds today! and lost an inch around my stomach, and a half inch from my neck14

NSV but it involves my scale. I guess the scale's battery is dying. I have been away and, while I tried to eat as healthy as I could, I know I messed up a few times. I stepped on the scale and it was a full five pounds over what I expected! The NSV is that I did NOT freak out and eat everything in sight. I just watched what I ate yesterday and stepped on the scale again today to find I had miraculously lost EIGHT pounds overnight!! My husband also noticed some weird fluctuations, and has now replaced the battery. My new weight is only one pound over my pre-vacation weight. I'll take that!!23

Just got back from a trip and was really worried about weighing in, even though I logged and tried to make at least somewhat healthy choices during the trip. Came in at just about the same weight as when I left! Sort of a scale victory, but the real success was logging and making better choices13

That's great. And thank you for supporting your daughter's service. Can we hope she becomes a carrier pilot? Sorry, my blood runs blue. Air Force is ok, too.6 -

Her interests at the moment are photography and acting - she's wanted to be an actress for over ten years but she really enjoys the ATC so who knows, she may decide on a career in the Forces.
The cakes were consumed with great gusto by her fellow cadets, officers and guests - I was happy as I didn't have to bring them home again5 -

Might sound silly but I took a bubble bath last night for the first time in probably over 10 years instead of my normal shower. I used to love my baths and really missed it. I probably could have done so sooner but I've been assuming I'd be too uncomfortable because of my size but I wasn't.. it was so nice and relaxing25

What size is that? You look small to me.
Well I'm 5'10 and have lost 60 pounds with 60 more to go but thank you.6 -

While doing doing chest presses on a step bench yesterday during a Body Pump class, I noticed when I got up my sweat impression was pretty slim. Lol it actually fit on the bench...silly I know!
I go through periods where I feel like I'm stuck and nothing is changing, so it's always nice when I notice something that makes me realize that I have indeed gotten smaller.10 -
I've recently gotten down to 148lbs (the lightest I've been as an adult, I'm 25 years old and 5'6). Last weekend I wore a dress out in NYC and we walked all day and NO chafing!! It's so freeing to know that I can wear anything and won't be in horrible pain within minutes. By no means do I have a thigh gap, nor will I ever, but my thighs are slim enough now that when I walk they actually "untouch" as I take a step, while before they would just rub together and never get any air. This will be a good summer!30

I can see my ribs when I suck in. I was an obese child so this is a first.24

Tons of stress going on right now and I am not even tempted to reach out for comfort food. Wow. Really wow.22

1. I have been wearing pants that I've adjusted to be smaller in the waist with safety pins.
2. Went shopping for pants yesterday because I'm sick of wearing pants with safety pins (and I deserve better!). Found a pair that was 1 size smaller and a pair that was 2 sizes smaller. I bought the ones that are 2 sizes smaller.21 -
The waistband of my boxers doesn't curl over with my gut anymore..21

bought my first pair of skinny jeans feels weird but great lol14

someone at work noticed I'd lost weight. I never mentioned it to anyone at work that I've been trying. What really made it awesome is I haven't lost any in the last few months.13

Had to hop into my car quickly this morning, as someone was trying to pull into the spot next to me. I left my purse on my left shoulder, expecting the door to not close all the way. I figured I would have to hold the door as close to my side as I could until the car was fully parked.
To my surprise, the door closed fully with plenty of room to spare! I did not even realize that it used to be very tight between my hips and the door, but now there is plenty for my big ole' purse15 -
We went put to dinner with my husband's family last night. We haven't seen them since Christmas and all of them were stunned at how much weight I've lost.21

I must've climbed 20 flights of stairs yesterday going on water slides with my teenagers...totally rocking my sexy new bathing suit in public. A couple years ago, I'd have been fully dressed, sitting in a chair watching everyone else have fun. Can't get back all the years I missed, but I can live the rest of my years to the fullest.45

While on the beach yesterday coaching my U14 sand soccer team, rather than being pushed back into the water like in the past I was actually checked out, by a woman none-the-less. That’s twice this summer and I still have a ways to go (like 20 pounds). I cannot lie it put a pep in my step, it’s been awhile since I got checked out.17

I'm about 25 pounds down, with 5-10 more to go, and have reclaimed a lot of my wardrobe! Wearing a shirt today that is intended to fit snugly but has always been a little tighter than I like, and is now actually a little loose! And put on a women's small t-shirt the other day and could actually wear it! I don't think I've worn a small size t-shirt since high school!10

Had an argument with DH before work today, and I wanted to eat my emotions with a breakfast burrito at the cafeteria. I looked at my watch and realized that if I stopped there before going to my desk, I'd be late.
So now, I've sat at my desk, had some crackers, hummus, and string cheese, and that horrible craving has passed. Still pissed, but I don't need a burrito to deal with it.21
