Hi all. Joining this late, as I just bought a scale, but hoping this'll help me be more accountable for any gains/losses I make.

Age: 26
Starting Weight May 29th: 260 (roughly, I was weighed at the doctor's office a two weeks before I started tracking)
Goal Weight July 3rd: 245-246
Weigh In Week

June 19: 250-251 (scale kept switching between the two)

Total LBS lost this week: 2.8
Total LBS lost this month: 10
Weekly Goals: Exercise a minimum of five days a week, walk at least 5000 steps a day, more if the weather permits.
Struggles: Weekend binge eating and trying to curb my sodium intake.
Successes: I've stuck pretty well to my self imposed goals so far, but the more time I spend trying to lose weight, the more I'll need to keep myself in check. I used MyFitnessPal a few years ago when I went from 380 to 198, but ended up abandoning the app and tracking my diet and exercise levels after that, which turned out to be a bad idea. So I'm hoping taking part in something like this will help me with my personal accountability.3 -

Weekly Goals: Don't let the weekends derail me.
Struggles: Weekends are a struggle with me. I don't go crazy over my calories, but I tend to not drink as much water and so I retain a lot of water weight through the weekend. Also dealing with PMS water retention
Successes: None. I'm pretty unhappy with this past week.
Don't stress it. Just pinpoint where you went wrong , learn from it, and move forward.1 -

This has me concerned. This is what someone who weighs over 330 can pull off but someone who is under 200. This is an unrealistic goal. You should be looking at 1 pound a week and as you get closer to your goal half a pound a week.
Losing four pounds would be a more realistic goal then trying to lose 12 pounds in a month. At your weight that's a huge no go. You're practically starving yourself and you will binge eat over the weekend and it will turn into a vicious cycle taking you down a road best not travelled.
If you try to loose this too fast, it will backfire and not in a good way. Please try to take this in stride but there is no way you'll lose 12 pounds in a month.
I would highly suggest to recalculate your weight loss goals.
I'm concerned and I suspect I know why you binged over the weekend, you lost six pounds in one week. That should be treated as a red flag.
Do not rush it. You didn't put it on over night and won't be taking it off over night. If it takes a year, then it takes a year.

Weekly Goals: Strength training 4 times per week, walk every day, and add some extra cardio 3-4 days per week.
Struggles: I had a good week with exercise and I did ok with my diet, but late night snacks are still my biggest struggle.

The only kind of supplements I use are all natrual stuff like dandelion capsules for cleansing and green tea capsules. I also drink green tea daily. Thats all.2

Yep! On days that I work out (usually 6 days a week), right when I get home I drink a scoop or two of whey protein powder mixed with almond or cashew milk. I usually have trouble getting my protein macros in so this is a good "meal". My appetite is much smaller than it used to be and drinking my macros is so much easier! I've also been testing out a pre-workout supplement, only once or twice a week. I probably won't stick with it though because coffee does the job of perking me up too2 -

ahh yes forgot about my whey protein powder as well also used to help with my protein intake. I dont have it everyday tho maybe 4 times a week.2 -

Struggles: I've had some odd fluctuations. When I weighed myself yesterday I was 177.8, but I had really swollen feet. Scales are weird. Still trying to figure out the exercise piece
Successes: Lost some weight. Didn't gain copious amounts during the conference.

Do I use supplements?
Yes. I have to as a vegetarian. I take a multivitamin with iron and B12. I also use whey protein powder just because I find it difficult to get all the protein I need.3 -
