This is my first time joining one of these. Am I understanding right that the SW is what we weighed on July 1?

    SW: 140.8
    CW: 138
    GW: 135

SW is what you weighed when you first started MFP (usually)
CW is what you weighed at the beginning of the month.
GW can go both ways, your overall goal (if you have one) OR your end of month goal. I notice some people put both or just the end of the month goal.

I just copy and paste my previous post each week and then add my weight after whatever week it currently is. I start by copying the OP's first post and adding my numbers.

You do you though, whatever works!

Oops I see you edited, sorry for too soon advice!
    Good luck on your journey!

Thank you, I was reading other posts trying to figure it out. ;) I put my SW from "this time" on MFP. I actually started at 165 four years ago, but I have since met my goal, and then I stupidly thought I could maintain without logging and gained 15 pounds. So now I'm getting rid of that and planning to continue logging when I hit my GW again.

I need this! Thank you for having this great challenge. I lost a good chunk of weight on here a few years back and then life happened, and gained it all back plus a few extra pounds. :'( But, I choose to be grateful that I didn't gain even more as I was spiraling back up! I lost it before and I can do it again!

    SW: 327
    CW: 332
GW: 250 (I would really like to lose more than that but I'm trying to break down the greater goal into subgoals)

Looking forward to encouraging eachother! :)

Hope nobody minds if I join late. This is a great challenge and just what I need right now. I started at 170, and now my weight loss is slowing down. My ultimate goal is 120, but I've got some weight to go. If I can get to 135 by the end of the month, I might just stop trying to lose and start trying to maintain instead. I'm going to decide how I feel when I get there. Here are my numbers for July:

    Starting Weight for July: 140
    7/10: 139
    7/17:
    7/24:

Everyone is doing a great job! You are all very motivating!

Another one late to the party. This looks like a great challenge and would like to join you, if that's ok. I've done the last couple of BLC, but seemed to have stalled a bit.

Your loss will naturally slow the closer you get to goal. A lb a week is great. You also don't want to eat at such a low calorie range that it is unsustainable. This is a new lifestyle not a diet where there is an end.

I am 69, 5'2" and have lost 47 lbs. Some weeks near the end I would only lose half a pound and some just sustain. But it has been over 4 years now and I am still eating my new healthy way and feel great!

Keep up the good work. You are close enough now to just eat at a small deficit and you can still lose those last few lbs.

Ok everyone is doing a great job. Let's keep it up as we move into next week. Congratulations that we even survived a holiday. They are traps in themselves.

^^^^thank you for this! I'm heading off for vacation for 5 days AND am on a high dose of prednisone for poison ivy! (Steroids can cause weight gain and make one very very hangry) so I'm facing a double whammy here! I'm going to be aware but also be kind to myself. At least that's the plan!
Thank you for the encouraging words and congrats on your loss!

I'm already having a hard time. I forgot to weigh myself Saturday so I'll weigh in this Saturday. However, I'm might've found a workout partner and will start going to the gym on my lunch break. Hopefully, this will give me the push that I need
