What's Your Most Recent NSV

Went out for lunch today (husband's birthday). Normally I would have a mixed grill but today I couldn't face it. In fact, there was nothing on the menu that I fancied as it was all served with chips or deep fried and just THINKING about eating it made me nauseous (apart from the horrific calorie count).

So I decided not to have anything except a diet drink. My husband was upset or annoyed (sometimes it's hard to tell ) until I pointed out to him that it was MY choice not to throw any old rubbish down my throat and that I chose NOT to pay a vast amount of our hard-earned money eating something that I didn't want and wouldn't enjoy, just to make him happy. Discussion over.

The NSV? That I had the strength not to bend to someone else's wishes over my food choice (and NOT to eat is a choice).

BTW, I had a huge fruit salad when we got home and it was really tasty. A good choice as I would have really regretted that mixed grill . . .

Hummm, I've had a few recently. 1) I told myself that on a 3 week vaca I would only allow a 5 lb weight gain. Came home to read 5.8 on the scale...pretty darn close when I would have TOTALLY not even thought about it in the past. 2) On my vaca I wore a bathing suit 90% of the time without total humiliation. 3) When I returned this past Saturday, I IMMEDIATELY reverted to my healthy habits & started working on dropping the vaca weight & am now motivated to drop even more. I feel like it was the 1st time I was responsible for my actions yet I still was able to have a blast & enjoy my beer & BBQ while away.

I'm down three cms (about one and a half inches) around my belly button, and two cms (about an inch) down around my bottom - achieved in just 10 days.

Walked dog before work two mornings in a row. Getting back in the habit after circumstances prevented me last week. And the dog loves it!

I couldn't find my white summer cardigan to wear to work today. When I asked The Husband if he saw it when he put away laundry, he said he put it with my 11 year old niece's clothes because he thought it was hers!

I went through my closet and removed all the clothes that no longer fit...3 bags of "too big" blouses, pants, dresses, etc. I used to just put them on the end of the closet because I always gained back the weight...and well, I like some of those clothes (just not the size!) For the first time in forever, I now don't have to paw through the clothes to find something that fits...they all do! And the thrift store is getting three bags of clothes. This is it. No more will I have a closet with several different sizes of clothes in it.

That is awesome! I am in a similar place. Starting to get rid of the size 14s now.

Three different people at work referd to me as skinny. Haven't heard me and the word skinny ever used in the same sentence in my life.

38 waistwaist pants I purchase about a month-and-a-half ago I can now take them off without unbuttoning them.

I can wear regular cut jeans now and not relaxed fit.

Went to buy some gym shorts. purchased a large instead of extra large by mistake. when I went to try them on they fit.

I completed Week 5 Day 2 of my couch-to-5k app today, which was 8 minutes running, 5 minutes walking, and another 8 minutes running. Yesterday was just 5-minute runs, so when I looked at that 8 number I freaked out a little but I did it!
