    Congrats @evesmom2 !!

I included some of my challenge stats at the bottom of my post. One more week until we're done!! I won't reach my original challenge goal, but I knew it was a stretch since it was what I was trying to get to NLT the end of September. Happy with the progress, and glad this challenge was here to keep me accountable.

Thanks...still hoping for at least one more pound, but if I'm PMSing this week, I'll be happy if I maintain ;)

NLT = No later than; Not later than. Sorry for the shorthand.

And I just reread that sentence, and it barely makes sense...my point was that my original challenge goal was really what I'm hoping to get to by the end of September, so it was a stretch to shoot for it at the beginning of Sept...but I like to have a farther target to stretch me. If I make it, great, I did more than I thought I could...if I don't, I'm probably closer to reaching (or just passing) my real goal anyway.

Thanks.... I had no guess as to what NLT was!

I joined the "Lose 40 lbs by Christmas" challenge just to keep me accountable. I think it is going to be a stretch for me, but just having to put the number in every week helps me a lot

Stretching is good, as long as you don't get too hung up on it. As they say, shoot for the stars, and if you miss, you may still reach the moon anyway! :star:

I wanted to join that one since my final goal is for the end of December, but I only had 30 to lose total, so I didn't. I do love the challenges for the accountability, but I think I'm better suited for the monthly ones. :)

    Almost there!

I went a little past my goal sometime last week, 159.5!! My digital scale isn't working today...might need a new battery so I used a regular dial type scale that sits on 160 this morning. I'll take it!

Congrats to everybody who has stuck with this!

Not many of us are left updating the spreadsheet, but still fun to see everyone's updates. I'm so thankful for this challenge as a way to keep myself motivated to keep the downward trend on the scale. Not likely (nor healthy) to lose 5 lbs this coming week to hit goal, but overall very happy with the success I've had during this challenge.

Hope everyone else is having a great week.

@MaxT370 -- Thank you! This year has been truly transforming. I've lost a total 79 lbs since January, but more importantly, I've changed my routines. I'm eating much more healthily (and with no effort now really) and become so much more active (walking 10-14 miles/day + doing Tai Chi) now that I have more energy.

If someone had told me I'd be getting up at 4:30 or 5a to go walking for two hours before work each day, and then walking again each evening, I'd have bet money they were wrong. But it was me who was wrong. I really could change how I was living and each day I feel better and better. It's been exciting to watch how different I've become and it doesn't hurt to see changes on the scale or in the mirror as well.

You're welcome! I know exactly how you feel. I've lost 70 pounds since March and I have so much more energy, I feel better, I sleep better and I look better. This coming from someone who never exercised, didn't pay attention to calories and I hit that spot where I thought "This is just me." These days I'm up early before work to exercise, go to work, exercise at night, and eating better.

    Congratulations on your success!

Argh!! Ended on a minor gain rather than a loss. Was hoping to see the 134's on the scale this morning. :( Oh, well.

Overall, pretty happy with the loss for the challenge (over 13 pounds), and for sticking with it when so many have dropped off. Glad to see the rest of you that have completed this challenge, because that tells me y'all have persistence and fortitude! It's a win for us all that finished this!

Have a great Labor Day weekend! (I'm just glad the hurricane has moved through and the weather should be improving for those of us in Central FL...sick of being stuck inside at this point).

This gain was just bad eating. Poor planning & prep lead to poor eating choices so back to prep & planning. I think some of the previous gain was water & hopefully all of it will come back off! Onward and upward!!

    Nice job everyone!!
