In the past I have tried every 21 day fix, whole 30, seven day diet out there. I've lost a few pounds only to regain it all back immediately and not once have I successfully completed any of them. Well today I hit a 31 day streak of logging and I'm down a little over 10 lbs. I still have a long way to go, but I'm so excited to have found something that works for me and that is becoming a sustainable lifestyle for me!39

I'm wearing a pair of size 8 pants *and* a belt... things I haven't done for at least three years. Yipeee!!22

I recently attended a bridal shower, and I found myself shifting around quite a bit in my chair. I finally realized that I wasn't used to sitting still for so long. It was actually painful! After realizing this, I made it a point to get up and walk every 15 minutes or so---much better.
I shudder when I think back to when I was at my highest weight and working at a desk job. The lack of energy was depressing. I can't wait to see how much more I'm moving when I'm no longer obese!22 -
I went to a local drugstore to look for a screen protector for my phone. They had Hershey products on sale for BOGO. At first I picked up 2 items for myself, but when I was waiting in line at the checkout, I put them back b/c it wasn't worth the calories. Especially, when I only wanted a small taste of the candy and not an entire bar worth.30

last week two people asked me if I was losing weight. Was nice to get some validation!21

Isn't it nice when folks start to notice? I was amazed/confused that no one on my team at work noticed until last week... it took 79 lbs before they recognized I had lost anything. How crazy is that? But it was great to get some validation that it finally shows.25 -
Another one for today - I can cross my legs under my desk!20

Another for me....went to a pig roast for the holiday...it was so nice to not be the heaviest person/woman there! I actually was the average size!! Felt so good29

Even though I didn't walk the dog some days b/c of heat & humidity, Map My Walk shows I walked 41.78 miles in August. And that doesn't count walking around Artstreet and the like. I'm sure I can beat those miles in Sept.21

Following my holiday yesterday was the first day diving back into my usual gym routine. One hour of Body Pump, followed by one hour of Bokwa. Man, the fact I had three weeks off was noticeable! I still got through both classes and only had to stop once or twice for a few seconds.
Today I woke up like an old lady. My legs were aching like a good'un due to all the weighted squats! I stretched for a few minutes throughout the work day and steeled myself for spin class today with an instructor who favours resistance. It was tough, but I got through it!
I'm praying it will be quick to get back up to speed for my gym classes as I remember these aching times from when I first started, and it's not fun!17 -
Guess who is now a size 10?47

Went through my pants again. I started in May with over 20 pairs of pants/jeans that were two small. I now have only 2 pair of those still on the top shelf for when they fit. and took the too big pairs to donate. The jeans I am wearing today fit good last month and now they are getting loose as well.

1. Last week I bought a full-length mirror. It's the first time in about 10 yrs I've had one in my house.
2. I just propped it up against a door at the end of a hallway without thinking much about it. This now means that I am looking at myself as I walk down a long hallway. Looking at myself ... for a long time ... will moving ...
Guess what? I look thin! (Well, in clothes.)
Good thing I live by myself, I guess because sometimes I am so amazed by the difference I just kind of check myself out!30 -

Awesome! I'm looking forward to this one myself!8 -
I can walk a lot longer and faster before I start breathing harder! I was even able to job for 5 minutes today!!!21

Got called "... the poster-child of the Righteous Path" when it comes to weight lifting by a guy who squats twice as much as I do. What he means, he explained, is I'm " ...doing everything right that [he] should be doing" by the way I train, test, and get stronger simply because I can.29

That cracked me up--awesome!2 -
I buy bags of the Hershey Mini chocolate bars as a treat for my mom (in memory care). The bag sits right by the door - and I managed to ignore it the whole time. OK, there was one piece of dark chocolate - last one in the bag, and Mom's least favorite - but I logged it!34

I've mentioned my bar of dark chocolate before now - it's been sitting in the fridge forever because I haven't been craving it. I decided that this week I was going to finish it off and just get it out of the way (still not craving it), so I had a couple of squares with a cup of coffee this afternoon. I didn't really enjoy it! Now there's a sentence I never thought I'd say about decent chocolate! I finished it anyway, but I think I might give the last couple of pieces to my son. It just doesn't seem worth the calories any more - I'd rather have a Fudgsicle!22

My boss' boss passed me in the hallway; he's recently returned from vacation.
"wow! Hey there Slim!" he said.

I am in the process of donating around 75 % of my clothes and starting to rebuild my entire wardrobe. I'm actually making a plan for a capsule wardrobe and a budget to go with it (finishing up uni/needing more business casual clothes/wardrobe as a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl makes it challenging). Although it's a big investment I have no doubt that the clothes will continue to fit me for years.25

Still adjusting to hubby's new job 2nd shift. I came home from work to just the pets. Ate a healthy dinner and kept busy. But then the M&Ms (which I usually limit to 10) were calling - suddenly, I had such a sugar craving. So I gave in and ate more than 10, but I counted and logged every one! And to my surprise, I wasn't that much over my daily goal. Good to know.23

This week I have been noticing that my clothes are all fitting a bit different. Yesterday I wore a shirt that was usually fitted and it looked too big. Today I put on a pair of pants that normally fit "just right" and they were baggy, so much so that I was afraid they may fall off of me. It is exciting to witness that changes that are happening!19

I've got another funny one: So my allergies have been acting up the past couple days and my nose has been running. On my long drive to work I realized that I was not going to make it to the office without blowing my nose first, so I reached in my glove box for my handy stack of fast food napkins. Ever since I've had my own car I have always had a stash from picking up food on the run, always. I was surprised, confused and frustrated when I saw that I had none. It took me a minute to realize that the reason was because I can't even remember the last time I picked up fast food! So with that realization in mind, I proudly smiled as I blew my nose into a crumpled receipt I found in my car LOL Winning!!!64

I did three pull-ups in a row! They were a bit sloppy, but still THREE!!!46

Putting on a smaller belt. Smaller jeans. Wearing 3 dresses this summer!25

I was bent over double sweeping wood shavings into a dustpan when I realized I felt different doing it than usual - no discomfort, able to breathe, not with the bursting feeling I used to get when bending down to the floor. Felt such a novelty I kept sweeping, just for the heck of it.28

I'm simultaneously looking forward to and dreading this! I have a way to go yet, but I think I might have to enlist help with a new wardrobe as I have no idea what my "style" might be... for the past couple of decades I've just worn whatever I can find that fits relatively well and covers as much flab as possible. (I have a box of smaller clothes still to get to, but almost nothing for my goal weight other than a couple of dresses I've kept!)
I've seen advice around the web for how to choose a capsule wardrobe of good, timeless pieces, but I think it'll be deciding what shapes suit best that might be the hardest part!9 -
Oh, and my own NSV for today - I was crawling around under a desk helping hubby plug my PC back together after we moved it, and realised that I wasn't having any trouble reaching anything or moving anywhere I needed to. I don't think I'm that much smaller than before, but it seems to have made quite a difference to ease of movement!
(Also, I did give my son the rest of my chocolate - he put his hand on my forehead and said "Are you feeling all right? Are you sure you're my mother?!" )30 -
I actually did real dips in the gym today. Best part got up with no effort got down with no effort and I did a couple sets.
When kayaking in the bay last week. Felt no pain in my back or my legs and my shoulders didn't bother me. actually had a great time.
Spent a lot of time in the ocean the past couple weeks not even tired when I get out of the
I'm one of the ones at work now with no belly.
The other one is a weird one. Somehow I grabbed my arm today between my bicep and my tricep and I felt a tendon ligament or muscle that I've never felt before. I've been feeling it most of the day it's the weirdest thing in the world to feel it.
