I surpassed 100 days of logging! I've also managed to get back on track with my eating and exercise. I fell off the wagon for a couple weeks as far as eating and exercise go, but overall it didn't do much damage and I'm back where I was after a week of better choices. I'm also starting to notice my calf definition is coming back from all the walking/running i've been doing28

Went back to school this week and had a few people comment on my weight loss. I started my journey right at the end of last semester so I have actually lost 25 pounds since anyone has seen me. It felt nice having other notice. Some of them actually commented on the size if me others just went on about how great I look. Last night we were all drinking together and one of my classmate had a few and said "I try not to comment on people's weight but you've lost a lot hey".17

I was able to crawl into a lower kitchen cabinet and adjust the shelves. My only problem was my arms are short, but I got it done17

365 days of logging today!69

I've cut down on running to make room for lifting the last 5 months. When I do it's been treadmill slogging. Haven't run outside lately but braved the heat today. Ran 4 miles with an average pace of 8:07. 8:07! Me! For as long as I've been running (18 years), I was happy with a 10 minute mile. And today I even had one mile at 7:48. I feel like I'm flying!28

For me am now able to fit on size 32 pants and I'm also gaining strength lifting. That's super to me !!13

Finally joined the YMCA after months of talking. The one near me in San Diego is really nice. I had always had a low opinion of the Y. I'm excited that they have a 10 lane outdoor pool17

I wore a crop top tonight! I put it on and I didn't allow myself to feel too subconscious about it either. I totally rocked it and I looked amazing if I do say so myself.19

A friend of mine noticed that I've lost weight, and gave me the sweetest compliment last night.20

A coworker said yesterday that I'm wasting away. I mean, it's hardly wasting - I still weigh over 200lbs (just barely though!!) but she definitely meant it as a compliment & I definitely took it that way. It's nice to have hard work recognized!15

Rebuilt the gym. The hastily-built platform I used to have rotted out because wet basement.
New one eight feet wide like it should be, is raised off the floor on 2x4, and the deadlift "drop zone" is completely filled with 2x4 so breakthroughs won't be an issue.
Total build time was under three hours.

Went on a 30-mile group bike ride today (I also biked there and back, another 11 miles, so 41 miles in total). My bike is pretty basic, the others' were "professional" ones, like I could never afford. I called the vast majority of the group "bike snobs" as they looked at my little bike as though they wouldn't EVER consider looking at one, much less riding one. Whatever. I also took with me some water, an apple and a huge bar of Galaxy chocolate as I thought that I'd need it.
My NSV is NOT that I didn't punch someone for being a "bike snob", nor is it that I completed the ride and KEPT UP with the others on their professional bikes, it's that I DIDN'T eat the chocolate bar
Go me!30 -

Not last night but the night before I had only gotten four hours of sleep and was not tired at all yesterday, When I was at my highest at 330, I could sleep nine or ten hours and still feel like I could sleep for longer.16

True story: My husband & I frequent an area casino, this afternoon I was stopped at the door & asked to show my ID to the new security person. I asked her why, she said ID must be checked on anyone that looks 35 or younger. I am 54!! I have lost 30 of the 50 I want to lose and I wore close-fitting clothing showing my slimmer figure, guess it is working47

Did a half marathon yesterday (sandwiched between two nights at work) and can still walk today31

Didn't eat DELICIOUS CHINESE CHICKEN SKIN last night - I peeled it off and ate the plain chicken. Absolutely divine and tender, just with none of the oily crispy calorific stuff.
I'm a chicken skin fiend24 -

Yesterday I was getting ready to go to the zoo with my nieces and I put on a pair of capris that were too tight 5 weeks ago. So I put them back up on the shelf and figured in a few weeks (ie now) they would fit. They're too loose! Good thing warm weather is almost over because I have no summer clothes left that fit! they're all too big!31

Bought a dress over the weekend in the regular section of the store - NOT THE PLUS SIDE!!46

Bought a dress over the weekend in the regular section of the store - NOT THE PLUS SIDE!!
Me too!! A few days ago I ventured to the "Misses" section which i haven't seen in almost 30 years, having spent all my time in the "Women's Plus". I tried on the biggest size in Misses (an 18) and it was too big! Lol.
Dropped 5 sizes in tops: 26W to 16M
Dropped 4 sizes in pants: 24W to 16M26 -

Me too. I know it may be because of vanity sizing but the last two tops I have purchased are large and in April had mostly 2x and 3x.

Lots of NSV's today!
1) Got up at 5am for my daily cycle ride. It was raining, lightly at first but by the time I'd done two miles, it was raining quite hard. Took a look at the brightening sky, didn't see many clouds so kept going. Really pleased that I did as the rain stopped after another mile and I saw the most wonderful sunrise, along with lots of little rabbits, foxes and birds.
2) I hurt my leg on Saturday (no idea what I've done) but went for a walk with my children anyway. After 5 miles I was in a bit of a state, barely able to walk but I made it home. One hot bath later and it's feeling okay. Have to see how it is tomorrow.
3) Whilst looking for some clothes to wear, I came across my old "fat" clothes (I kept a top and trousers just to motivate me when the going gets tough). I COULD NOT believe how big they are. I'm going to take some comparison photos which I'll post but I've gone from UK size 28/30 to UK size 10 (12's are too big for me now) and from a 5XL to a medium (bordering on a small). It's scary stuff. But in a good way.
4) I was sat on the floor earlier and wondered where my huge fat legs and thighs have gone . . . not that I care as I don't want them back! I also noticed that my thighs no longer rub together when walking.
The next ones are more about my family's changing viewpoints on being healthy (indirectly influenced by my weight loss/fitness plan so I'm claiming them).
5) Firstly, my son has asked if he can go cycling with me. We decided that he probably doesn't (yet) have the stamina to do my 25-mile cycle with me so I will take him out for a shorter run later in the day (as it's a bit unfair to expect him to get up at 5am to go cycling).
6) Secondly, the children asked for spaghetti bolognaise for dinner, with garlic bread. They, along with my husband (who is so supportive to me, love him to bits ) purchased the lowest fat minced beef and the lowest fat garlic bread without needing to be told. The message is sinking in at last36 -
I went to a Goodwill today and reluctantly donated a size XL dress shirt from Eddie Bauer (I'm just not made of money, and they have long sleeves for tall people). I found one in equally good condition, in a M and it fit perfectly.31

I moved up from 8 pound dumbbells to 15 pound ones this morning. Made it through a whole set before sanity reasserted itself and I went down to 12 pounds. I'm going to keep pushing with the 15s, though!37

I bought jeans for 20$ clearance rack a size too small in tje summer so when fall got here I'd have something that fit me good. we had a cool day today so I cut off the tags and put them on amd they were sooooo too big which I know is awesomme but I still don't have one pair of pants that fit! those were the only things I have bought other than a couple of things from goodwill which no longer fit......back to goodwill I go17

I was shopping at banana republic yesterday. picked up a pair of jeans and a mid-calf pants to try. when trying i opened the door to ask my niece's opinion. All the sales associates where staring at me, i felt so self conscious and said:"oh, i wanna ask my niece's opinion" one of the girls tells the other: omg, she's asking for opinion! i felt very strange. closed the door, tried the other pair and this time calling for my neice to come closer and see the jeans. The girl associates told me, honey, these jeans are made for your hips! no matter what u wear it looks beautiful, we're surprised you're asking for anyone's opinion! ha!
and i thought i was wearing those wrong, somehow and THAT was causing all the stares!34
