Oh.. don't remind me of that school terror.. i hated it.. hated the school, the kids, my clothes, my fat *kitten*.. .. i was so miserable bc of that scool bulling and than in the " teen " years.. i somehow transformed into the sx.bomb since i was more developed than other girls.. all of a sudden.. i was famous but now bc .. " development " .. even the teachers were looking ..
no.. didn't like the school ! and back than the " overweight " kids were not as common as today so it was even worse, not that the kids today have it any easier, but especially in Europe.. kids are much smaller in size than here.. it wasn't a good time :grumble:
I'll join the challange- i'm a scale addict.. so .. it' s gonna be interesting0 -

Rach... try freecylce.org. That is a site where people give away stuff for free that they either dont need or want. You might get some awesome deals on there especially if you live in a big city. I havent used it in along time because I got so much crap here at my house as it is.
We are getting a new computer YEA...... We have had this one for years and it is about time we get a new one. My sons will be happy because they are getting this one and now they can play their games on it. I play the sims games on the computer so I either have to start a new on the new computer or just wait until Sims 3 comes out.

About the overweight teen thing:
The reason I have invited my 13 year old son to join me at the gym is because he is becoming overweight (more and more).
I try really hard to walk the fine line of not making him overly worried about it and keeping him healthy. I feel bad because I know he is self conscious, wearing a t-shirt with his bathing suit when he swims. He HATES it when the soccer team plays "shirts and skins" (isn't that torture??)
And like I said earlier it doesn't help that his older brother never had a fat cell.
I have been keeping a bowl of fruit on the counter for a convenient healthy snack (which works)
and he seems to enjoy going to the gym with me and I like the company. I had him in basketball but he wants to quit, too many kids and not enough playing time.

I JUST ATE A 1000 cals OF CRAP!!! I COULD JUST CRY!!! WHY????I'M SO UPSET WITH MYSELF. I have to exercise yet, but there is NO WAY I can burn1400 cals when I'm now not motivated for anything. HELP PLEASE!0

So, it's here! The UPS guy finallly came through & brought me my Polar F6! It's lovely! But since I already worked out today & I'm just too tired to do anything else, I just programed all the settings & stuff! I should be able to use it in step class tomorrow! Hopefully I don't look to dumb! Or get so wrapped up into looking at it I trip over my step & fall on my face!! LOL!! Wouldn't that just ruin my day!
Well, like I said.. I'm so tired! Gonna go veg out now!

Well, thanks guys. I went downstairs, did sprints, danced ,a bit of weights and stretch. Burned 820cals over 85 min. Still over lots, but glad I did it. Tomorrow is a new day. Thanks j, ,I know I can can't on ya!0

alright im kinda upset right now. I have been doing good well great exercising ontime 6x/week eating right feeling great. Now tonight out of the damn blue (hey Im on the blue team :laugh: ) I started having seizures again i couldn't move, I couldn't talk and I needed help up the damn stairs which i normally run up. I fell on the way to the bathroom and had another seizure. :explode: Im so sick of this crap. :grumble: ALright that is all i have to say for right now. :ohwell: Thanks for listening team. :flowerforyou:0

j-g4 ever.. you are strong.. you know you can do it.. you have been dealing with this for quiet some time now.. and you know.. it's not your fault.. that something you can't control i guess... we can control what we put in our mouth and how much we exercise- right ? and that you do have under control.. the other thing.. leave it to God.. it's in His hands.. and remember.. we all have been given something in our lives to deal with. you - got the seizures, but would you trade it for cancer ? or.. having some kind of disformation.. no leg ? no arm ? blind ? deaf ? .. I mean God, gave each one of us a load , but a load He knew we could carrie.. He knows you are strong to deal with this, accept it- don't fight it.. live with it- but ask Him to help you in the rough times. .. because no doctor or .. other human can really help .. He has the power.. trust in Him , ok ? :flowerforyou:
Good job hotmomof4 .. that's amazing that you went and " fought the calories " .. Good job.. and don't get discouraged we all are going through those stages . sometimes super motivated, but sometimes we just eat.. maybe our body needs it more than we realize, maybe we are not giving it enough- but maybe we are hungry for something else ? attention ? love ? understanding ? sleep ? rest ?
I guess all this is a process of learning we have to listen to our bodies every day.. and it's a never ending- learning process.. but- we can do it .. we have to believe in that ..
i'm here... i'm doing the challange- not stepping on the scale, watching my calories and working out..0 -
I want to thank everyone for the support. Im feeling great today so far so good. I plan on working out and getting the finishing touchs on a babyshower Im throwing tomorrow for a friend. I had pictures taken today. So I have before and after and holy crap is all i have to say. I can really see the difference. I don't know how to or if I can put them on her because im just in my sports bra and underwear. :laugh: If I can however I will because there is a difference and Im very proud of myself. Its been 6 months and hopefully in another 6 months or less i can be to my goal weight. :drinker:

Hotmom-I can drive because I know when my seizures are coming so I have always had time to pull over. If Im not feeling good one day I don't leave my house. I have whats call sudo(sp)-seizures so they are caused by stress and anxiety. I couldn't drive for over a year till they figured out what it was and I had them atleast a little under control. My kids know how to dial 911 and they know who to call if I have a seizure. I feel very safe. Thanks for asking. :flowerforyou:0 -
So just as friday is over my week is hardly over. I have to leave at 7:30 for school. I have class from 9 - 11:45 and 12:00 - 2:30. I have been doing nonstop homework. I had to send my fiance home tonight just so I could get caught up. I am super stressed and my headaches are coming back again. I have a presentation to do tomorrow. Needs to be 30 minutes, probably one of the longest presentations I have ever had to do. I think my top is 20 minutes. Anyways I am super nervous. I have to present as if I am the teacher and it is the first day of class - I have to go over rules and expectations and then do a mini lesson for the rest of the class. I am not worried about the beginning portion I am just worried I will screw up the lesson portion. I guess I need to get use to it seeing how I am going to be a teacher within the next few years.
Besides for the busy part of my life with school and work. I was able to work out Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. I did the wii fit step aerobics on Thursday for 10 minutes and I can hardly walk I am so sore. I haven't been losing much but I have lost a ton of inches all over. I am half way to my goal and so excited. This is the longest I have ever stuck to anything. It definately isn't a "diet" it is my new life. I just want to thank all of you for supporting me through this journey. You are all so amazing and inspiring!!!!

I just finished my workouts for the day!! Burning 605 calories with the BL Cardio DVD plus an additional 30 minutes on the tread mill! Lot's of fun!! I'm really hoping to make that scale move this week!! I'm so darn close to being in the 170's!!! So darn close!! We'll see! :drinker:0

I'm stalling again. So cold here, and after being in a cold hockey arena this morning, I came home, ate lunch, and went off to bed. Now my girlfriend is coming over. She said she won't stay too late, so I guess I'll be doing the exercising at 1000 again tonight! (she won't join me dang it)! My 11 year old daughter won her All Star game today at least!0
