Just gonna leave this one here (warning, some bad language, but then again, we're runners and we LIVE on TMI and 4-letter words!): No, you're wearing too much neon

@Elise4270 - I have to say, I am seriously impressed. You did a 2.3 mile crutches walk? That's pretty amazing. I know it's been a difficult struggle for you, but when you get through this, you are gonna be one BAMF.

Thanks! Yes. All on crutches. Took me 63 minutes though. DH signed us up for walk this Saturday, I'm not sure how far it is. Figure I should do a few training walks

I broke a leg playing hockey 3 days before a family vacation to Disney. We were fortunately able to reschedule 6 weeks later but I was still on crutches. Doing the whole Epcot loop on them sucks, and is much harder work than running. I honestly can say I've felt your pain. When I broke my ankle a few years earlier, I was able to use a knee scooter, which is basically the best invention ever for anyone who's active. Is one of those an option for you?

No, since I'm on crutches for a hip issue. Nice thought though!

I just want to run already :( In other news, I was able to walk for 12 minutes on the treadmill today without any shin pain so that's at least a step towards running!

8/06: bike- 5 min easy, 10x(2 min hard/1 min easy), 5 min easy + core
    8/07: 30 min steady state, elliptical + 6.5 min walk (3.4 mph) + core
    8/09: bike - 5 min easy, 6x(4 min hard/2 min easy), 5 min easy + 1.3 mile walk (leisurely)
8/10: 1.5 km swim + 25 minutes deep water running interspersed + core
8/12: 2.5 km swim + 25 minutes deep water running interspersed
8/13: bike- 5 min easy, 10x(2 min hard/1 min easy), 25 min easy + core
    8/14: core
    8/15: 45 min steady state bike + 12 min walk (3.6 mph) + 2.5 km swim + 10 min deep water running

My first run after a week of tonsillitis this morning. I managed 2 miles and it was really hard, my throat started hurting again. That's 13.2 miles for the month so far, my easy goal of 30 miles is now looking unlikely. On a plus though, I got to run in my new shoes :)

    9/01 ..... 3.2
    9/02 ........... Rest
    9/03 ..... 3.3
    9/04 ........... Rest
    9/05 ........... Hiked 6 miles
    9/06 ........... Walked 6 miles with a friend
9/07 ..... 2.3 Easy run then walked, DOMS was a little much to ignore
    9/08 ........... Rest
    9/09 ........... Rest
9/10 ..... 3.2 With DD. She walked a little more than last time but I am still happy with what she put in.
9/11 ..... 5.0 With DH. I was a little surprised with the pace: felt easy at ~10:30 min/mile, it was usually 11-12 for me
    9/12 ........... Rest
9/13 ..... 3.1 With DH again. It was later at night and we wanted to get it done. We ended up running more like a tempo speed. I threw in a fast (for me) finish thinking, I probably wouldn't be able to run fast for next few weeks after the blood donation...
9/14 ........... Rest - donated blood today. Will focus on having more iron rich food and hope the run tomorrow would not be too much of a suffering...
9/15 ..... 3.1 Ran too fast in the beginning. I need to work on slowing down again...

    Total Miles: 23.2

06/09 3 miles not all running but took same effort
07/09 3 miles, I'm going to call it a recovery run as that's what it was for me! ;)
08/09 3 miles Its was really windy so when the wind was behind me it was like running on air but when it was against me it was like someone was pulling me backwards. Still better than too hot! I can feel my ankle improving.
    15/09 3 miles
    16/09 3 miles

I've spent the past 2.5 hours catching up on all the posts (it's been a week) and it's been very entertaining. From a dodgy gunman to having the "runs" when running. I better get some work done or I'll have to work over the weekend!

Today's notes: Uncharacteristically for this training cycle, I'm resting the day before my long run. I had been thinking about it anyway, since I'm going to end up with like 33 miles this week, when I'm supposed to be tapering, then I was exhausted last night and decided to for sure.

My Run Brain is mad at me, but the rest of me is happy. I think I have a cold coming on, and I REALLY NEED to be healthy for my HM in 8 days. I worked my *kitten* off this training cycle, so the logical side of me won out, and I slept in until 0550 today.....only to feel more tired than on a run day. Go figure,

Have a Fantabulous Friday run peoples!

LOL - I wish I had done it. I saw that some people here did that and I kept thinking about doing it and didn't. Now they are gone.

Loved those 18 weird things - thanks @9voice9 #10 and #13 cracked me up.

Just a steady pace run this morning. Overslept by about 10 mins and laid there thinking, should I just sleep? But then I remembered I had 2 rest days this week and I figured 4 miles is better than 0! And then I was faster than I thought and got 4.5.

    9/2 - strength training

    9/4 - 100 KM biking (63 miles).

Gah...I have blisters on both feet again. I even wore my super wide Altras and my Balega Blister Resist socks. They're on the inside of both feet, right next to the base of my big toes. I'm not sure why I always seem to blister there, regardless of what shoes I wear. I may just start putting liquid bandage on that spot before I run to help protect it and hope that prevents future problems.

Had problems with my nikes causing blisters at one point. Switched to the Altras and had no problems. Now the Nikes are fine and the Altras are causing problems. So frustrating!

    @kristinegift Guilty as charged.
I have more shoes in my closet than some shoe stores have on display.
Must Resist - Resistance is Futile.

3 days on the road for work - Its official I hate Restaurant Food. To much salt, to greasy etc, etc, etc. Way off the beaten trail so the restaurants cater to the locals and Construction workers - not those of us trying to be Healthy.

Some one forgot to pack his Headlamp and Bear Spray so no running for me after work. Especially since everyday has been 12-15 hours - with 7-8 of that driving. Bears , Bears and more Bears. Also lots of Rabbits so they must be approaching a population boom and crash. Which is one of the normal cycles up in the North.

@juliet3455- Where in the world are you????

I decided to take another rest day today. I know, two in a row, right???? My leg is feeling much better after yesterday, so I thought another day off of it might do it good. That, along with the fact that I still had a lot to do before work this morning to get ready for my family's visit and when I get done with work they will be here. I don't want to be like, "Hi, great to see you, now excuse me while I go for a run." Although I am pretty sure I might have done that once or twice in the past. Just trying to keep my priorities in order...
