I have a few I'd like to share, if I may:
1. I've been doing physical therapy for a few weeks (knee issue), and in that environment, working along side a variety of other people, I realize how fit I am. Not just thin, but I have very good stamina and am strong. It's been such a pleasant surprise, and makes me wonder -- in a fun, inspiring way -- how much better I can get.
2. For the first time in years -- and the first time since I lost about 90 lbs -- I bought new pants today. Earlier this week, I wore a pair of pants that not even a belt could help. I looked like something out of a Dickens novel. I tried a a Petite Size 12, then 10, then 8, and ended up with a 6. I think I used to be a very tight 18W with an elastic waist . The 6 wasn't perfect (snug in some places -- I think I didn't pay attention to how the legs were cut), but the 8 was too big and I figure in a week or so they'll be perfect.
3. I started a new job 5 weeks ago, and no one there knows the old me. It's so liberating. Life feels so different -- when I'm on the train, walking around campus, while teaching ... I just feel free now.30 -
I feel very accomplished because I sorted through all my clothes-from pj's to dresses to socks to bras and it's finally done!
My NSV is that I have a whole new winter wardrobe to wear that has not fit for 2 winters!
Last month my size 12 jeans were perfect/a bit too big, this month the 10's are perfect and the 12's are ridiculous. I'M IN A COMFORTABLE SIZE 10. Is this really happening?!!??
I started in a tight 16 six months ago.
****so happy for every victory I see on here, so inspiring and positive****30 -
My NSV today is that I saw myself sit and wait patiently while my brain caught up to my mouth and stomach. A cup of hot tea and a little distraction kept me from going back and getting a second helping of the pasta with sauce. I would have been really disappointed if I had, when I saw the calories and the macros for the day, but now I'm free to have a nice snack later or maybe bank the deficit for a day when I really want or need an indulgence!18

OK this maybe tmi and naughty but here goes....since i have lost over 100 pounds my male appendage works a lot better than it has in years.29

Haven't reached my goal yet, but starting to feel like I actually look like I belong there when I go to the gym now! And lost an inch off my waist measurement & 1/2 inch off my neck measurement since 1 month ago.17

Was biking with my visiting sister and b-i-l. It was cool so I pulled out leg warmers. They kept falling down. Often! even when tucked up under my bike shorts. Turns out I don't fit men's M-L anymore.
2nd NSV My sister has always been smaller than me. ALWAYS. We have different bone structures-here's is small and I have shoulders and hips. She was like a size 4 when she got married I was a 10 (with no extra weight on me). We are less than 2 years apart.
Well I offered her a pair of bike shorts to wear and asked her pant size. It's a 12 and I'm a 12 or even a 10 these days. I said nothing but inside did a happy dance.19 -
My DH is a long term cyclist and for years has been fitter and faster than me, so I gave up. Now since March I have been practicing and today I managed to outpace him, hee hee. I can't quite believe it. He was a bit put out.28

Ran for 1 whole hour today. First time in my entire life.38

I was able to fit in my size 12 pants again comfortably! I have a lot more clothes now. My size 14 were getting too tight before I started.19

I can go clothing shopping with friends! I would have been way too embarrassed to shop for 1x-2x with my thin friends, but now I'm a medium and it's just different. I know I shouldn't have been embarrassed, but I was, and now I'm not. Victory44

My wife took a picture of my kids and I after I finished my first race Saturday. I still see that 288lb guy in the mirror but he doesn't look nearly so fat anymore and theres no way that guy could have run a half marathon.40

These posts are wonderful!! Congrats everyone!4

I saw my collarbone last night! Barely, but it is there, along with the beginnings of a shadow of a shoulder bone. And..... my back fat rolls are now just peaks and valleys. No more overlap back there. And I realized that by the end of this month, my weight will be below 200 lbs for the first time in around 7 years. And I realized that getting to my second goal of 175 lbs is completely attainable without starving myself. And my ultimate goal of 150 lbs is not just a fantasy - it is a possibility if I continue on this path. So I had several NSV's this weekend!42

I went on a 6 day walking holiday last week, doing a 110 mile coast line walk including some huge lung busting ascents and thigh burning descents and I just did it! I hauled 3 stones less of me with me and I felt better, fitter and happier. I'm impressed with me, which is what really matters.36

I'm smaller than my older sister! A huge victory for me because when we were both teenagers she used to hold it over me that she weighed less than me or had a smaller pants size. She can't say that anymore36

Today is my 1 year anniversary of logging on mfp. I actually reached my goal and have been maintaining for 11 weeks. My next goal is to finish the C25k app and I am on Week 3.52

I comfortable rode a bike with friends around Key West and barely broke a sweat or had to stand out of the seat. It's crazy how you don't even know how fit you are/are becoming until you are amongst your peers and they are unable to do things which feel so natural to you!32

Finally in the normal BMI range as of this morning. ^_^65

By brother in law commented on how my walk had changed-that it was much less rushed or forced. I laughed and said "well it's like taking off a heavy pack".26
-
I fit into a large shirt(started at a 3xl)36

I was able to run to catch my train. It used to feel like slow death if I had to spontaneously run for some emergency. My husband said I now remind him of me when we first met.40

I lost weight on my vacation! What?!?! Of course, I went to the gym every day I wasn't driving... so maybe that had something to do with it.

During summer I bought a pair of jeans on sale hoping it might fit me but it was too tight! I tried it again last month and it fits great even when the scales are telling me I've put on weight (around 3lbs) ❤️22
