October Squat, Crunch, Plank and Push up Challenge - starts 1st October

Day 12 Done! No rest though! While I was on the floor doing crunches my doggie decided she didn't want me to and started rolling all over me! You should see what they do when I attempt yoga at home Hence why I do yoga at the gym LOL!!!1

day 12 done = 40 squats
15 Push up (on knees )
1 min & 10 sec (40 sec + 30 sec) plank out of 1.5 min
50 crunches
I need to train myself to plank & push up exercises, because I really can not do them as required0 -
@sabreena86 it will come in time. Try push ups on your toes and the drop to your knees when you just can't do anymore. Increase as you can. Same with planks start off in plank and then drop to your knees when needed. Your can also break up your time. If you can manage 30 seconds then do 3 30 second planks! You are doing awesome!!!!1

Day 12 done had a hard time with planks today only did 1 min0

Day 12 done, only did what I absolutely HAD to do 15 pushups, and 1-1/2 min plank. have been working out hard, my muscles needed a rest1

thank you very much , i'll work your advice especially about plank it seems perfect for me , but about push up till this time i can't do it on toes , i hardly do it on knees , but i'll never give up , i'll continue exercising until i can

Day 13 done here as well!! @sabreena86 the push ups will come with time. I couldn't even imagine being able to do push ups on my toes when I first started this journey. I am averaging anywhere from being able to do between 10 to 20 on my toes on average in a set now. Just keep at it and you will start noticing that you can do one, then more and more on your toes as time goes on.0

@sabreena86 You will get the push ups in time. A lot of people use all arm strength do them, which will stress the shoulders. Also, I would try starting on toes on stairs rather than the floor. Start in a high plank and tighten your core and upper back muscles. focus on those muscles, not arms, then lower yourself down focusing on feeling tight core and upper back engaged, then tighten them again and think of pushing through the floor/step to find core and back muscles on the press up.
Also, be sure your hands are directly below shoulders when doing them. Do just one, then go to knees for second one. It think I came across a video once breaking it down. I will look for it and share if I can find. Good luck!1 -

Day 14 done!! I love squats!!! I was able to play one song during squats but 130 is now 2 songs!!0

Skipping today, I think, and possibly tomorrow. That's gonna stink having to make up two days. I have a super achy muscle, more than just a sore one so worried I got close to pulling something or something like that, so I am wanting to take it easy for a couple days. I think these exercises would be ok, but don't want to push it. I will for sure be back at it Monday though since the Amazing Race begins!!2
