Does anyone else weigh themselves everyday??

I don't weigh often. Maybe once a month. When I was losing I weighed myself every Friday morning.
Now I go by my measurements and my tight, non stretchy jeans. lol
This works for me. Heading into year 4 of maintenance with no weight gain, issues or struggles.6 -
I weigh every morning and log it in the happy scale app and monitor the trend.1

I weigh myself probably once a month, when i used to weigh myself every week i would freak out over the smallest increase in weight. But to be honest tell I can judge my weight loss on how my clothes are fitting my body.2

I do weight myself twice a day and it keeps me informed of my progress or the contrary. I found it more better than to weigh after few days or a week.1

I weigh myself once a week. Usually Saturdays. I've been logging my stats down on my phones notepad. I don't think there is any downside to weighing yourself everyday, but then I think about "a watched pot never boils" even though it does0

Good or bad kinda depends on you. On the one hand, it's a lot harder to lie to yourself if you're seeing the number every day. On the other, some people freak about normal day-to-day fluctuations.
Personally, weigh every day but look at a weekly average as my "true" weight. As long as the average is doing what I want, i.e. staying the same or going down, depending on my goals of the moment, I don't worry about it.0 -
Daily. I always like to see the ounces slowly leading up to that next pound lost.1

I don't have a scale, so i use the same one all the time at the gym when I go, otherwise i'd get obsessed about weighing2

I love to do it...It keeps me mindful of what I'm doing. Weekly weigh in is light years away....lol. what's the harm unless you get wigged out that you gained a pound, and even then its good. Reassess what you are doing. I have gone up and down by 3 lbs within 3 weeks. Logging in my weight is like logging in here. Some people do it, some don't. But people who sign and post here are more likely to succeed. Same as weighing in everyday. There are exceptions... Are you one?0

heck no, I hate seeing the 5-10lb up and down day to day, it freaks me out that I am gaining.5

I weigh myself whenever I remember to do it. That's usually a few times a week. I think I did it more often before I went on maintenance, but that was so long ago I don't remember.0

I do. I love the "report chart" as a visual reminder of where I'm at. It's a great reminder that weight loss is up and down, and that's just how it goes. Mine looks like a heart beat monitor-haha
Having that visual reminder helps take the pressure off(For me at least), but also helps keep me excited about what I'm doing. Because even if I'm feeling icky for a day or so, the chart tells a different story-and that is because it reflects my daily weigh in.

I weigh every morning at the same time wearing the same thing after I get up to eliminate as many variables as possible. I also log it in a ledger book, hard copy that I can refer too and not have to worry about any kind of data loss
Since I do not obsess over day to day fluctuations I am fine weighing daily. OTOH if You are the type that will let a 1/4 pound gain one day bother You, than I suggest weekly. I do the daily to track trends and find it to be helpful. Especially if I cheat on my Maintenance plan.

^^^^^ This. I weigh everyday but don't obsess over it. I wish I would had weighed myself everyday 3 years ago. I might had caught the fact I was gaining a lot of weight quickly.1 -

I don't weigh myself everyday, just once a week. I find it too distracting if I do and it used to stress me out, the last time I was on a diet. In particular as soon as I gained a few grams I was getting disappointed and lost focus on my goal. Now I weight myself once a week and I get a nice surprise, which I find is great. I hop on and think , Really? yay lol0

Don't let the scale define you!! I stopped doing it because it doesn't really describe all the things that are going on inside your body when you take proper care of yourself. Your weight is not who you are!! I weigh once a month maximum if that. The way my clothes feel on me is my main guide.1

I weigh myself everday, and I have a rule that if my weight goes up then I have to go back to logging my food.0

I weight every day. It helps me with progress. I have a withings scale that automatically sends weight to mfp so it logs whenever i weigh myself. I also use trendweight.com to see what my long term trends is, it helps to eliminate the fluctuations.

I'm glad you found something that works for you, that would never work for me. You are still going to have the fluctuation, you just won't know if the weight gain (or loss) is real or fluctuation. In theory I like the focus on BF% but if you're talking about focusing on what a scale tells you BF% is that's even worse. Those scales are not at all accurate and bounce around wildly based on hydration levels.
Focusing on how you look in a mirror and/or how your clothes fit is a pretty good approach.0 -
I weigh myself almost every morning on an Aria scale, which logs it to my FitBit account, and to MFP. After a year of doing this I have a good idea of the general trend -- pretty steady, thank god! -- and also how the minor daily fluctuations relate to my diet and exercise regimen. If I'm suddenly up a pound or two I can usually trace that either to a high-sodium cheat meal (Chinese food!), or to water weight gain from a particularly grueling workout. Usually those extra "surprise" pounds will disappear as suddenly as they appeared; if they don't, then that's a wake-up call, and I need to pay closer attention to what I'm eating, and how much. I can't imagine trying to maintain based on a once a month -- or even once a week -- weigh-in schedule; but that may be just me.1
