I can totally relate - I still smile when this happens even though it has been that way for about six months! Every time I go to the sauna and use my body wrap towel I smile a little inside!

The grocery store had my favorite cereal (Cinnamon Life) buy one, get one free. This is a binge trigger for me. Managed to resist for once!!!!25

Two for me:
For a few months I've been messing around with my hip bones. Like, "Hey, what are these hard things?" But I must be losing more weight because just now I freaked out for a bit at this big hard thing on my left side. Turns out I have one on the right too. I guess hip bones are bigger than I thought. And they curve a little in there. Just like in pics I've seen.
About a month ago, I finally bought new pants. I wasn't finding things at thrift stores, so I treated myself to about 6 pairs of US size 6 pants thinking they should last me a bit. Nope. They're literally falling off. (And I don't even have them all hemmed yet ...)15 -
Went out for dinner last night. Sat in a booth. There was a gap between my stomach and the table. There wasn't the last time I sat in a booth in that restaurant.28

I went for a walk at the trails today! Not very far, not for very long... but it was the first physical activity I've done since maybe January. It felt great to get out there and move around in the sunshine; I hadn't realized how little time I've been spending outdoors.27

Three for this week:
Finished 2nd week of Strong Curves bodyweight at home.
My new favorite jeans are a size 8 skinny. I keep doing double takes when I walk by a mirror - can't believe it's me!
My wedding ring is annoyingly loose, so need to find a ring guard.23 -
stoopid thing to brag about but i went to do my 'light' day at the gym yesterday. it's complicated, but basically i'm doing boring-but-big accessory work for two of my four lifts every week.
it's supposed to just be 50%ish because [boring stuff] so i just want to keep my muscle memory and my form going. but i couldn't be arsed to look for the 30 pound bar yesterday, and i did 5x TEN SETS of overhead press with the regular 45lb bar. just checked my spreadsheet and that amounts to 70% of my training-max weight.
and yeah, i did have to do it in lots of short sets. but you know what? it was easy14 -

I'm a "RUNNER" nowwwww (I think, lol)Learning to run has been on my bucket list for quite some time now, but I never really committed! While on vacation this past weekend, (and away from all of my cardio classes and Dumbbells) I elected to TRY to run with my sister and asked her to please keep My slow pace, if she didn't mind... Well she didn't have to slow down for me and we kept an EASY jog for 41 mins and FOUR miles! I wasn't winded or even ready to stop when we made it back to the beach house!! For a beginner runner, I thought this was pretty darn good!! I've never been able to run with any of my family members and it made me a bit emotional. I guess all of the cardio classes and body weight..(and recent dumbbell weight training) has More than conditioned me to run!! :-)39

I bought a designer dress on clearance to wear to a cousin's wedding, which was yesterday, in my original goal size...it looked very smart and I felt very pretty. After wearing it all day and not even unzipping it to take off (!) I realized it is actually too big31

I'm almost out of the morbidly obese BMI category -- another pound or two will do it!
congrats about that . . . i just got hooked into pedantry mode by that graph though. how come as you get older you need a slightly higher bmi to get into the different risk groups?
i'm not campaigning. i'm not actually very interested in the topic of excess fat as a social phenomenon/catastrophe/whatever. i'm just puzzled because by the logic of it, it doesn't seem to make sense. it's like they're telling me, oh your arteries have been around for a while, they can take it.

I have a few recent ones.
I did my very first 5K on Halloween weekend and it included 17 obstacles. I am 52 years old and can't believe it. I dragged my daughter along so she got her first in a lot earlier than I did!
We're looking at an 8K in December that goes through a Christmas light display.
My husband and I went away for a few days to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. I decided to be daring and wear a skin tight short dress to dinner on our actual anniversary. It's not something I would ever have worn before and probably not where I'd run into anyone I knew. Dinner was a buffet (and I logged it all!) and hubby got back to the table just a little after I did. He made a comment that my hard work was obviously paying off. I asked why. He said there were eyes following me as I made my way back to my table. That certainly wouldn't have happened 115 lbs ago.
Finally, everyone else here is sick. DH has bronchitis and daughter has a URI. Both have been to urgent care and missed school/work. I have some sniffles and a slight cough but nothing that's made me slow down in the least or feel like I need to see a doctor. I can only assume that it's because of my much improved health due to better eating and being in good physical shape.

I'm doing an edx online course and there it was mentioned that a little extra body fat was healthy as we get older. For people with an overweight BMI it was more beneficial to focus on being active than losing weight. I can imagine a little extra reserve is good when older people get sick, so your body can draw energy from it if they're not eating properly.

The pants I bought 3 weeks ago is now way too loose. Its slipping down my hips, and it begs a belt to stay at one place now. (I lost ~5 lbs in 2 weeks.)10

Been trying to limit my exercise the last week and rest to kick the cold I have and it's actually been really hard not going to the gym! I've gotten so used to it and to just exercising that I feel very lazy not going. But I'll be right back in my routine again soon!13

I was able to pull my skinny jeans up.. cant button them yet.. but that pair simply refused to go beyond my upper thighs a few weeks back. could at least get them all the way up. Next step is buttoning them up..16

I put on the shell of my old winter coat without the liner. It now extends beyond by butt. I really need to buy a new one as last winter this coat was letting all sorts of drafts come up from the bottom of the coat and I've lost some more.9

I sew and have quite a few clothing patterns I've collected over the years when they are on sale. I was looking through them yesterday and realized that I have several that I can't use now because even the smallest size is too big.16

This might be TMI - but I'm chuffed to bits and need to share! I bought several new bras when I reached my goal weight at the beginning of the summer and they all fitted lovely at the time. I haven't lost any more weight since then, but all my bras are now too loose around the band. I finally went to get measured again yesterday, and it turns out I'm now a 32" band!! Even at any of my previous lowest weights I've never been less than a 34" chest!
It hasn't felt like I've been making much progress with the strength training but obviously weightlifting is working wonders!!24 -
THIS DRESS!! It fit me tight back in April and I tried it on last night only to discover I needed a belt around my waist (on the last/smallest hole, too!) to keep it on my body. The pics are so much more motivating than the scale to me these days!

Love this! Thought I might be the only one who thought about this. But, I tried a bra on again the other day that I have had for quite a while that felt like by the end of the day it was going to slice right thru my skin! I decided to bring it out as I have lost about 25lbs and it fits comfortably!!! I was/am so excited!13 -

The website explains this somewhat -- essentially, a slight increase in fat mass as people (women, specifically, for this chart) age is normal and doesn't seem to correlate with increased health risks. Some proposed explanations for this are minor weight retention after pregnancies, an overall higher fat mass than men leading to more pronounced fat gain in later life, and natural decreases in metabolism.
For men, the graph flattens out with age. SmartBMI calculates several different risk factors, rather than simply weight/height calculations.6
