November goal : 275 by Nov 26th
Ultimate goal : 160 in however long it takes.
5th : 280.9 - down .1 lb despite Halloween candy, Chinese buffet, pizza, AND that TOM. I worked my butt off since Wednesday and managed to recover the damage done since last Friday!
12th : 280.9 - really getting discouraged. NO change this week. I have been stuck between 280 and 282 for over a month now. I need this to go down already!!!
19th : 279.4 - finally broke this plateau. Need to just move forward and not stress so much about the scale.

Down almost 5 lbs for Nov but nervous about adding it all back next week for Thanksgiving. Can't be rude and eat a salad when everyone put in so much effort.... suppose to be eating 1300 calories and one meal is 3000+. How does everyone else deal with that?2

Hello everyone!
So after last week's disappointing increase, I am back in the game! But I have a lot of work to do if I'm going to succeed in this challenge. Frankly, I be grateful just to have another loss.
Plus I am away in Amsterdam on business for 3 days this coming week. Wish me luck!

Yes, you can eat a salad. or bring a low cal dish or veggie tray that you will mostly take part in. Go for a long walk after dinner or lunch and see if anyone else wants to go.
Thanksgiving is just a day to enjoy friends and family...The food doesn't have to ruin your hard work.

Portion control and limit the carbs. I've realized that the reason people want to sleep after Thanksgiving dinner is not because of the tryptophan, it's because EVERYTHING is a carb.
Drink a couple glasses of water before you eat, try to eat the most "plain" of the food (turkey & salad), and then have only a small spoonful of one or two of the starches (potatoes, dressing). Or you can have a little of everything, one thing you can be thankful for, it's only one day.
I also like the take a walk idea, although around our house that is NOT a consideration. We all sit around the table after we eat and wait for the next meal to appear. LOL4 -
We don't celebrate thanksgiving where I'm from…and judging by some of these posts I'm pretty grateful about that at this point it sounds like sooooo much food for one day!
When is thanksgiving? x1 -

Thanksgiving is this coming Thursday. I do celebrate but as I don't live in the US I don't do the whole dinner thing. Its a normal day for us here in france.0 -
Thanks @mariecela_moulin
It's just an normal day for us here in the UK too! I've heard a few people here like to celebrate it… but not many and it's usually the people with relatives in the US x0 -

A little quicker than I'd like, so I'll up the calories a bit this week.
No fancy diets FYI. I started c25k running, and I watch my calories. I've had some ugly binges, but I broke my step record 3 times this week to balance things.8 -

5.5 hours of exercise over the last two days, 3413 kcal burnt off, and 11.75 hour of the week has really paid off. This week stay the same or a slight lose will be a win as I won't be exercising as much (recovery week after a long hard week last week) and have my first Christmas event of the season next weekend.9
