I am not nearly concerned about the Christmas binge this year as I cannot eat gluten, so that rules out all the Christmas baking, breads, gravies, etc.5

So I'm new to mfp. How do you add folks? I'm soon to be 52 and finally seriously trying to lose weight. Started out at my highest ever weight of 295. I'm down to 250. It. Is. hard. I've had setbacks physically with my spine, but even through pain I'm trying to really do it all: mind, body and spirit. Anyoneay add me if you know how. I'm here to support anyone and for support.2

Really enjoying the interaction I have receive in the last few days - good to be getting and giving encouragement. Christmas time is a hard time to stay on any eating plan and as much as I have tried to in the past you can't outrun poor eating choices and I am sure I will make some in the next few days and will probably enjoy it until I weigh in but getting back on plan and sticking to it is what is important. I ran today - 6.2 miles which took to 2,003 miles this year as I reached my goal. Going to work on running faster and take up biking some. I lost about 55 pounds a few years ago and have kept it off mainly because of my wife's encouragement this myfitnesspal. Hope all had a great day - feel free to add me
I agree! It is really easy to consume 500 calories and really hard to burn 500 calories - especially this time of year!! Too easy to stuff a few cookies in your mouth and ruin your hard work! Sigh. Just trying to keep the big picture in mind. Stay motivated!!6 -
30 minutes on the stationary bike tonight, 9.985 miles done next time I will crack that 10 miles..6

Some days you win and some days you give in - ate horrible today but it is a glitch - Christmas meal at work - cookies, bars, etc. and ate more than my share. Overall been a good Christmas season as I haven't given in much - hope everyone is enjoying this time of year4

Beautiful snowshoe again last night. Am loving the milder weather.
Got home and baked a batch of cookies. They were not GF, so no worries there for me.
My husband and sons do love them though. Will send some home with my son as his wife and baby are not feeling well.
Christmas staff lunch today. And to say "good bye" to a couple of employees. One is retiring, the other relocating.
Have a great Thursday! Weekend's almost here!3 -
I just turned 47 in Nov. and fighting it every step of the way!1

This week leading up to Christmas is a lot crazier than I thought it would be. I finally gave myself permission to not be 100% on target with all my fitness stuff. Still eating alright, but I've missed some workouts. Monday I expect to be back in it all the way.3

I'm 36. Have lost around 25 pounds since June of this year. My current profile pic is from today. I can see a little better definition in my arms and back! Generally I go to the gym and do a mix of strength training and cardio 4-5 times a week. Only for about 45 min each session. Slow and steady, but I think its working! Feel free to add me.9
