This is perfect for me, I'm in!
Just back on mfp...had lost 3.5 stone (49lbs) previously but have gained 1.5 st (21lbs) back in 2016 so definetly need to get my *kitten* back in gear!!!
Challenge time frame suits me perfectly as I've a holiday planned for early April.

    CW: 195lbs
GW: 167lbs (2lbs a week, should be doable!)

Started today by logging all my food. Only had 1 small bar of chocolate, can't go cold turkey or I'll crave it even more!! Got out for a short walk this morning too. I'm also aiming to do dry January (so no alcohol for the month)

I'll give it a try. I've never dieted in a group before, but I've dieted a lot. I'm 65. Over the last 2 years I've had 2 knee replacement surgeries and I had to get below a bmi of 40 before they would operate. I've done that twice - in 2015 with calorie control and in 2016 with the Cambridge Diet. I lost loads with the latter but it felt so unhealthy and it made me horribly constipated. I've just been doing Slimming World online and lost nothing in 3 months. I don't really understand the way it works but, whatever, I don't think the plan works for my metabolism, and I found it hard to stick to.

I just looked back to my first MFP entry - January 2010. 114.3kilos. Today I am 112.9 kilos. In between i've gone up and down but never got below 100 kilos (220 lbs). The lowest I got was 102 kilos before this year's surgery, and I really felt fantastic. But after the surgery I slid back very badly, putting on the weight again very fast. Now I'm really starting to worry about my heart after such rapid weight gain.

Re the challenge, ideally I'd love to get down to 100 kilos by the end of March, which means losing roughly a kilo a week. Surely I could do that??!! (not so sure, but still...)

Anyway, I'd like to join with you all and travel together. Let's see what happens.....

Just bookmark this page, click on that star on the right side of the title of this thread...it will turn yellow. Then just come back here once a week and put your information into a message and hit enter. I find it easier to find my last post, copy it and paste it into a new message...just adding the new info to it. Super easy peasy!
