    Starting weight - 168lbs
    Currently - 128lbs
Took about 9/10mths to lose 40lbs and I've been maintaining since October. I want to stay in the range of 125-130lbs.

Hi, I'd love to join in too. I'm struggling with exercise just now, mostly because the kids are off school and I don't have much spare time. Hoping I can get back into my usual routine soon.

Hi everyone. I would love to be part of it.
    My name is Irina.
    Starting weight 220 lbs.
    Current 151 lbs.
Took about 8 months to lose, maintaining for 2 months now. Would like to stay within 148-153 lbs range for now. Maybe eventually try to go down a little more or aim for recomp.
Finally got a ok from my doc to cycle again, so happy to be back on my bike. Had an early morning ride yesterday and got to see beautiful sunrise. My fav route is the ocean side road, so breath taking. Can't get enough of it.

Time it took to lose: several years on/off MFP
How long in maintenance: 6 months
    Maintenance weight range: 105

Hi everyone. I met my goal weight ~ 6 months ago, but have not really tried a maintenance program on MFP, but would like to give it a try. I have been off of MFP and unable to workout since I met my goal due to caring for a sick family member, but now feel like I can finally spare some time for myself to get back to my workouts and MFP. I am excited to get started back. I have gained 3lbs since I met my goal weight. I would like to lose some remaining body fat and gain some more lean muscle. I have alway enjoyed working out and my workout routine consists of cardio, running (treadmill and outdoors) and strength training.

Success/struggles of the week: I guess I picked the WORST time to get started back to the gym, with the New Year's crowd, but at least I will be in good company with motivated people ;)

I will try to participate. I just reached maintenance this fall and it's my #1 goal for 2017. I've lost weight before in my life, but never maintained it, even for a short time. This time is different!

So glad I found this! I recently moved right before hitting my GW and don't have the support group I had before, this is going to be so helpful!!

It took me a year to loose 70 lbs, I'm just getting back home from a week long vacation of not eating right, so I'll know my current weight tomorrow, I hope I didn't do too horribly! I'm a runner, have been for years, but was never able to get the weight off. Finally with the help of being accountable every week for my food choices I was able to drop those pounds in a little under a year. I'm not going to lie, the maintenance part really intimidates me, so I'm going to need all the help I can get! I'm looking forward to getting and giving support!

Success/struggles of the week: Expected to be up a few lbs considering the increased calories and sodium over the holidays. Mondays are generally my heaviest day of the week. Was around 167 a couple weeks ago so much will be water weight. Should see the # decline over the next week and I'll likely have 1-3lbs to trim off over the next month or two. Kept up with doing weights and cardio which was good.

Sleep is my struggle this last week. When I wake several times per night it seems to jump-start my appetite the next day for carbs. Really! And, when I don't sleep well I end up waking late. So, here I go to the pool and hour later than normal.

Honestly pretty unhappy with that given I ate at an intentional cut for two weeks while we were all the my inlaws' house and passed on every treat there. Going through my logs and trying to figure out where I effed up

Candidly, I think it is extremely difficult to be accurate when you are not making most of your meals yourself, e.g. when you're a house guest or eating out a lot. Don't be too hard on yourself.

time in maint- roughly 30 years, give or take, excluding pregnancy
    GR: 115-120

My goal was to thoroughly enjoy the heck out of the holidays while maintaining. Looks like I achieved at least one goal! I think I put on a pound or two. I haven't been weighing daily so it might take a couple days to see through the water fluctuations and get an average CW.

Success/Struggle for the week: I have been keeping up with my exercise this week so that is my success. And I am approximately the same weight I was last week. I have struggled to find my maintenance calories and have been trying to stop losing so I feel like maybe I am where I need to be. My struggle this week has been a candle that my son gave me for Christmas. It smells like hot cocoa. I can usually fit in a hot chocolate every day, but this candle really makes me crave sweets. Next time I think I'll ask him to get me a different scent, one that doesn't smell like baked goods.

Anybody tried body recomposition? I am thinking of trying that once I re-lose these couple of pounds I put on over the past 6 months. If you've tried it, have you had any success with it? It sounds like exactly what I need to lose some remaining body fat even though I am at my goal weight.
  • mk2fit
    mk2fit Posts: 730 Member
@BlessedBeyondMsr I haven't tried body recomp, but while losing did all kinds of exercises - walking, running, elliptical & rowing machines, cardio videos and strength videos (with and without dumbbells). I live a million miles from a gym so do all my stuff at home. I still mix all of this up and am keeping the weight off and actually have some muscles.
BTW, I am a 58 year old female.
