I am 28years, mother of one and trying to loose 40 pounds. I hope to get pregnant this year and doc advised me that I need to loose weight. June is also my birthday month and I hope to loose at least 30 pounds by then.It's been really challenging to loose weight. I love this group coz one can vent out when they feel like overeating for that has truly been my weakness...
My weight weekly check in is on Wednesdays.

UGW: 23% body fat initially, then go from there. Ideally 20%, which translates into approximately 156ish assuming 125 pounds of lean body mass.

Yesterday was good, I ate well and my macros were on point. Exceeded my water goals and went to the gym. Here's my workout:
Walk/Run treadmill:1 mile, 13.5 minute mile! (I'm not a runner so this is making me happy! Working on slowly improving this.. decreasing the amount I walk and increasing the amount I run)
BB squat: 95lb 5x5
Bench: 65lb 5x5
Deadlift: Warmup 95lb 1x5, Working set 115lb 1x5 (felt great!!)
I didn't push it last night.. I had a date so I didn't want to spend forever at the gym.

@Kerryatoon, weight loss while weight training is tough. When you lift weights, your muscles hold onto water weight. I always found I lost weight in streaks while lifting weights, i.e. I may not lose much one week, but then have a great week the following week. Hang in there! And great job on your workouts.2 -

So, I have a question.... is there something significant about about having your weigh in be Wednesday? It seems like a lot of you weigh in that day. Is that just a coincidence, or is there some reason behind it?0

Count me in! I would love to be part of your support system ladies. I am starting fresh this week after a year of doing nothing. In Jan. 2015 I was officially free from an unhealthy marriage. I had started running as therapy the year before. I got down to my ultimate goal weight and Sept. 2015 I ran a half marathon. I kept the weight off until Feb. 2016 when I broke my back sledding with my kids. I spent the rest of 2016 eating junk food and feeling sorry for myself...and what a surprise, I gained all the weight back and then some. Now I'm ready: I want that old me back - know she's still in there!5

I would love to join too! I am 54 years old with about 40 lbs to lose. It amazes me how fast I can add on 5 lbs but how hard it is to get it back off!!
