@biglouie7504. We plebians are still waiting for you to explain what you meant with your original post.4 -

The amount of people out there that become personal trainers because they got themselves in shape is amazing. The bad part is they think what they did is onesize fits all, instead of actually learning how to help people. If biglouie actually cared about helping people he would have gotten the proper training to do so. I hope his clients aren't alergic to nuts because they aren't going to have much left to eat.14

No.... well, sometimes. We're particularly harsh on bioscience, woo, and claims put up without a peer-reviewed source to support them. Stop by one of the ACV threads sometime...3 -
why does everyone hate on somebody for what they post. they are healthy foods, but not fat burners!

So should I eat more almonds and walnuts and peanut butter even if it puts me above my calories for the day (which in my case would be a matter of less than 10 minutes with the open jar in my mitts!)
But not eat the McDonald's ice cream cone I had yesterday while staying within my caloric goals?
***Kittens*** three years into this and matching my lowest scale weight this morning means I definitely need more peanut butter, eyeballing it with a kitchen spoon instead of obsessively rationed and measured on a scale!
Rats bro! Rats! The opportunities I missed for healthy nut consumption! Help me out bro, should I buy Skippy or Kraft?
prime example of someone being unpleasant, just because they can. why?0 -
A random list of foods (many of which are major calorie bombs (what many would call "fattening")) without any context or explanation of how they should/could be incorporated into one's diet or why/how they may be beneficial is not "useful information."
Furthermore, calling them "fat killer foods" and offering no other explanation could unfortunately lead to new dieters thinking that eating these foods would actually "kill fat." It'd be a crying shame if someone came on here looking for tips on how to lose weight, saw your list of "fat killer foods," and turned their calorie deficit into a surplus by eating too much peanut butter, avocado and nuts thinking that chowing down on these foods would help them burn up fat.
So for the sake of those reading this thread who don't already know, I'm gonna say it:
There are no fat killer foods and the foods you list could easily lead to a calorie surplus (weight gain) if not carefully moderated due to their caloric density.8 -

because he called them fat burners and didn't call them healthy foods to be eaten within your caloric targets. And why, prey tell, are these foods healthy? Are they any more healthy that salmon, arugula, and danish cookies? (pulling three random foods I've eaten these past 10 days).

OP seems to be claiming that they ARE fat burners. Thus, he is rightfully being shot down on his claims.10 -

Did you learn anything from his post? If so, what was it?
Because he's claiming that this list of high calorie foods (which he labels "fat killer foods") without any context or further explanation is "useful information."
He's also claiming to be a personal trainer out to "help" people with his info. He's not really looking for motivation/support for himself.14 -
biglouie7504 wrote: »AGAIN lol I'm just a personal trainer throwing out useful information out there for peole who could use some extra knowledge bless your hearts lol
I'm not sure telling people nuts and nut butters are fat killers will always be helpful. While these are healthy foods when eaten in proper amounts they are high calorie foods.2 -

Tell the OP to click on the little Flag next to the date below his first post.
Then he can select: This is my post and I want to delete it
There you go friend.
Compassion delivered!
Just cause you asked nicely!9 -

As trendy as the phrase "hating on" is, it is far from true. The OP made a claim with zero support or explanation of what he actually meant. In fact, calling those things "fat killers" whatever that means with no context at all would lead many to think that if they eat a lot of these things they will get rid of the fat on their body. They won't. At least 4 of the nine are very high calorie, and would quickly take people from being in a calorie deficit (the only way to lose weight) into a calorie surplus. Then they would put on weight and wonder what they were doing wrong. The original post was not helpful, nor were the followups by the OP. For that matter, the original post could severely hinder people who want to lose weight by making them think that some magical "fat killer" food exists, which it doesn't.9 -

Where's the cayenne pepper, coconut oil, dairy, salmon? This list is much more comprehensive:

My advice is to tell people to have a calorie deficit and eat what they want.
Some of these foods are very calorie dense. None of them will magically rid you of fat.4 -

I do hate when people give advice without explaining it. I also hate when the advice seems to be straight off the cover of Woman's World magazine.13 -
The foods you listed, to me, are healthy foods that would be advisable to eat0

Not one of them are "fat killers", which was the title of the thread. Additionally, if eating them causes someone to go over their maintenance calories, that person will gain weight.
The d'Haubry macarons in my desk drawer, while not as nutrient dense, fit beautifully into my calories for the day, and are also advisable to eat .4 -
biglouie7504 wrote: »Broscience doesn't qualify as "a little extra knowledge". There's no such thing as "fat killer foods", and several of those you listed are very calorie dense.
I'd be interested to hear what kind of nutritional training you have also.
No nutritional training I help people with there fitness and diet goals and was just throwing some useful info out there that have helped people I train just throwing info out there for those who could use it I can't legally tell anybody what to eat because I'm not a nutritionist
and you are telling people what to eat.. why?14 -
The "you should respect and be nice to someone for saying something, no matter what it is" is what's leading to the rapid dumbing down of society. Contrary to recent public opinion, ignorance does not deserve the same respect as education.
Calling out misinformation needs to happen more, not less.25 -
