Have been tracking my food for twenty days now, and went to the gym for the first time in almost a year.29

I clocked 11k steps today and 12k steps yesterday.19

The last night of bowling last year vs. this year. About 11 months, a baby boy, and 60 some pounds difference. I guess the NSV is how I loved getting my picture taken this year!!!40 -

My favorite thing is taking a walk and finding a new park - happens more than you'd think! On Sunday, my husband and I decided on a whim to take a side road that always made me wonder what it led to. Wouldn't you know, it's a park with a beautiful nature trail. And it's 5 minutes from our apartment! I've walked it each morning this week so far
views from the nature trail this morning
Gorgeous!!!!4 -
Did a 5k on Sunday and did a 5k on Monday. So happy. First ever doing them...well since I was in my teens. Good luck and best wishes to you all14

This morning a coworker told me I always dress cute 47 lbs ago I basically just threw on whatever fit and now I actually have options that are apparently "cute"!23

I was washing my hands in the restroom and a coworker came in and talked to someone else in the restroom but not to me.. then when I said "hi" she said.. "wow I didn't recognize you! You're losing weight like that?!" I said.. "Yup".13

Missed my regular workout day due to helping pick up carpet roll. Determined to go early the next morning and I did!7

Yesterday I attended a lunch for the place where I volunteer. I won a huge box of cookies. I figured I'd bring it home and give it to my husband but I knew that I would end up eating my fair share of them.
Driving home, pondering my options, I saw a Sheriff parked by the side of the road so I pulled over and gave him the cookies to take back to the station and share with the other heroes.
Win-win. I didn't eat the cookies and I let the Sheriffs know that they are appreciated!61 -
Mine is that I have the energy to keep up with my adult children.i remember when my daughter graduated and we went to Gatlinburg to hike trails. And I couldn't keep up thought I was dying I told them to go ahead so I could rest but just cried instead. Now they have to keep up with me34

I've been lifting weights at the gym for just over 3 months now. Today the personal trainer came up to me and asked me if I do Crossfit. I said "no, but I'm flattered that you think I look like I could!" Turned out he used to run a Crossfit gym. I was pretty happy with that compliment!22

NSVs:
Inches off waist. Finally!
Maxed out the flexibility machine at my gym.
Nearly maxed out the thigh adductor machine also.
People at the gym tell me "I've seen you workout."
My kids are physically fit and enjoy their own strength gains (randomly bust out in push ups for fun). My mom and grandmother were huge examples to me about staying flexible as you get older (at 84 my grandmother could touch her toes without effort) and my mother overcame a bad back injury through exercise. And now I see, tears now, that I am also giving my kids a good example to follow. I don't sit on the bench watching my kids play. I play with my kids.
Although I realized my fitness level is way more than the average person, because I am not as slim as some other people, I still saw myself as getting there?
And even though I go to the gym and do calisthenics tricks and "next level" fitness stuff, and have some type of near daily exercise for years, it wasn't until yesterday - just yesterday, when I went swimming, and shot hoops, and tossed the football and passed the soccer ball and played and ran and.....realized I HAVE an "active lifestyle." Thank God!

I feel ya on that one! I had a nasty Pepsi habit before I started.3 -
Crummy day yesterday. Threw my eating plan out the window. Didn't exercise. But I logged it, and I'm still OK for the week. Weighed in this morning, and I'm back on track. Life happened, and I didn't let it derail my long-term success.34

Surprise visit from my mom messed with my workout out routine. The next day would have been my rest day and usually i would just use that as an excuse to take the two rest days but instead i just decided to consider my day spent with my mom as my rest day and enjoy it and do my workout the following day. I do not know who this new person in my head is,but i like her.33

Today's my one-year anniversary on MFP. 365 straight days of logging!
Also, at my workplace, one of the conference rooms has chairs with built-in desks. Last week, I sat in those chairs, not having done so for about 5 months. I was amazed at how much more space there was between the desk and my stomach than there used to be!40 -
Seeing a difference between my leg and ankle. I've never had slim ankles ever - even when I lost 80lbs before. (gained most of it back) Since I've been weight training I'm seeing changes in my body I've never had before ankles being the thing I noticed last night.19

I have 2 that are kind of combined.
Until last week I lived 5 minutes from the gym in the same town where I work. This past weekend we moved 30 minutes away. I haven't made it to the gym all week even with good intentions because I was making excuses about needing to unpack and not being able to find things.
NSV 1: I got my stuff together last night so that as soon as I woke up I could head out the door and go to the gym then get ready for work at the gym. Then I actually did it!!
NSV 2: While getting ready at the gym I realized I forgot clean undies. I had to run to Walmart on the way to work to pick some up and I picked up a smaller size (8 vs the 10 I usually wear) just hoping they would sort of fit and would be better once I lost more. They fit great! I actually think that I forgot what well fitting underwear were supposed to feel like since my others have been saggy for quite some time.
Getting ready at the gym was quite stressful so I am really hoping that I can sort out the logistics and keep going. Surely it gets easier?24 -
Leg pressed my body weight at the gym today! (85kg) Never thought I'd reach that.11
