Not sure if this technically fits the criteria, but I am "officially" no longer obese! I am now merely "overweight"64

Forgot to add that while I was out yesterday I had to grab a pail of cat litter because we'd run out. I carried that 25lb-ish pail through the store, and then halfway through the parking lot to the car, without having to put it down for a rest. Normally I'd have got a cart and pushed it instead, but yesterday I thought, "No, you can do this!"
It did feel heavy to me (I don't lift - yet), and my arm was aching by the time I reached the car, but I wasn't puffing like I would have been if I'd tried that a few months ago so I'm pleased with myself!
(I'm also amazed that I used to carry twice that weight around all the time, as part of me, without a second thought. No wonder it felt hard to get up the stairs some days...!)32 -
I tried jogging and cycling for the first time since surgery. Went well! I'm definitely going to have to take things slow, I'm just so happy to be moving19

I moved up one notch (level) on my total gym.13

Had an appointment at the eye clinic this afternoon, last time I saw the doctor was in October. She said, "Did you lose weight?" and congratulated me, and said I was looking good.
I've only lost about 10-12 pounds more since the last time I saw her, but it seems as though the last 20 have made a lot more difference in my appearance than the first 30 did! Part of it is probably also that I'm wearing smaller clothes and am comfortable in closer-fitting items than I used to be, so that also helps to make it more noticeable.20 -
I ran jogged 3 miles a couple of days ago and felt great! I signed up yesterday for my first 5K this coming April. It's always been something I've wanted to do and now I'm doing it!!!!23

I'm so excited1

I'm so excited! Today I had an NSV at the gym! When I started at the gym I couldn't work out on the triceps extension machine because you have to sit between two handlebars and I didn't fit. After that I just avoided the machine. Today I tried it and I fit! I was so happy55

My toe wore a hole in my running shoes and left me with a nasty blister on my big toe and a shoe full of sand yesterday. Today I put a bandaid on it, doubled up the socks, and the dog and I still did 2 miles this morning. Decided it was time to buy a new pair of shoes and the same brand, same shoe, is a full size smaller now. I guess that explains the blister and the hole in the toe.23

Even though I'm down a size from my previous maintenance size, I still feel like I'm how I normally look (if that makes sense). I have a black tie event coming up and all of my formal gowns (too tight since college) are all too big!
I asked a friend--she's super fit, definitely "the thin friend"--to borrow a dress and to my shock, ALL 10 dresses she let me try on fit comfortably! I didn't even think they'd zip up!
Nothing really worked, so I'm going shopping35 -
Two little ones. My husband said I didn't snore at all last night as far as he could tell. (He can usually tell. We're talking lumberjack, y'all.) And last night I was able to cut my toenails just bending forward instead of having to twist around to the side. I haven't been able to do that easily in yeeeaaarrrssss.33

I went to our local sports shop today to purchase some new running trainers and came across the sale rail. I found 2 pairs of shorts which had been reduced to £4 and a size extra small. I never thought i would get in them but they fit perfectly. yay me27

I braved the cold temperatures and got myself to the gym at 3 am and absolutely rocked weights day. I've been slacking lately - I tend to become a slug in winter. But spring is on the way, and I'll be ramping it back up soon!30

I went down a belt loop today.37

I've got a date Sunday, does that count ?74
-
I got my first "I didn't recognize you!" from my ex-boss.
I was wondering why he was acting so cold and distant and not really answering my greetings.39 -
I need a new belt!30
-
My running tights are now running pants. I had to stop to tie the drawstring yesterday so they'd stop sliding down.35

After a few too many years of denial.... I got back on the scale this morning!
(I have to start somewhere)70 -

1) Increased my weights at the gym again today
2) My kettlebell instructor says that he can see I'm improving, after just three weeks Apparently my squats are getting deeper, which will make my physiotherapist happy. She's given me a month to get them right, to strengthen the leg which was weakened by a cycling accident eight months ago.
3) Too cold to go for a cycle ride today (too cold to even THINK about getting the bike out, plus I'd have been cycling into a 25mph head wind - it just wasn't going to happen. Instead of having an internal strop about it, I used the energy to do some heavy-duty housework today. My windows are sparkling Maybe the weather will be better tomorrow.... I missed my run today32 -
Bittersweet: My favorite pair of jeans fall off me33

The more I thought of not sweating, the more I would. I started to avoid social gatherings, because it was so embarrassing. Since starting my journey, I have attended 3 parties and didn't even break a sweat. Not sure if it is because of the increased exercise or just feeling confident about myself, but I am so, so glad.
I have found the same thing - I used to have awful anxiety, which got way better when I became a christian, but not gone entirely. Once I started losing weight, I've come almost all the way to "normal" with only occasional bouts of mild nervousness that anyone might have. Love it.15 -
I realized this morning that I can tie my shoes by simply bending over and reaching down. No need to sit down. No need to kneel down. Just bend at the hips and tie...
I used to have this humongous belly in the way and felt like I was suffocating anytime I tried to do this.

1) Defied the weather (very cold, strong winds) and went out on the bike. Not a really long ride though (just over 13 miles) as it was just too cold plus the headwind on the way to my "turn around" point then became a crosswind on the way home - hard work. I was frozen when I got home but it was so worth it
2) Normally the day after my kettlebell class, my legs are murder. Not today though (this was my 4th class), just a little stiff and the bike ride helped loosen them up a bit.25 -
today I flexed and realized how much muscle gain i had since starting more weight training. Which obviously makes sense but still! Very exciting. I made the before and after pic my profile pic . from mid October to to this morning!19

today i went into the lounge to look at the treats people brought it and walked right out after looking at the crusty donuts and store bought cookies I walked out. I used to always get treats when people brought them in but lately I only get them if they are really worth the calories.28
