Well, I didn't break into the 150's after all this week but I DID reach my 5% goal! I am not too pleased with my weigh-in but hey, I'll take it! I ate a little heavy last night (probably shouldn't do that right before a weigh in, huh?) and am expecting a good weigh in next week. Maybe I will even reach my "next 5 lbs lost" goal! :drinker:
Good luck to everyone this week!0 -

Missed Friday's weight in, but I am here now. Only down a pound for the month. I'll have to exercise more. I've been lazy this month. I think it's due to this heat.0 -
My first big goal is to get below 150, so far so good:
starting 154
7/17 is 152.2
once I get to the 149 mark, then I know I am actually losing fat instead of the initial "bloating" which comes with the beginning of the diet...
Be proud of me...I didn't eat ANY of those donuts...
I have also been doing the Power 90 exercise. It is a step below P90X. So 90 days on Power 90, then P90X, then Intensity.
I have completed 1 week of Power 90, only 11 weeks to go.0 -
I am definitely on board! New to this though, can anybody explain how they got their weight loss tickers??0
-
Getting there. Now 92.6 kgs!0

Hey everyone! Wanted to check in on progress!
While I never seem to do perfect over the weekend.... I had my first week in a LONGGGG TIME that I was perfect from Monday- Friday. And I did 6 days of Insanity. So im feeling really good about last week. I also have visitors in this weekend, so eating out was expected. I wont feel deterred. Just gunna drink TONS of water, get my workouts in and try and limit the "mess ups" til Tuesday when they leave, and get right back on track with my eating.
Hope everyone is making small improvements and having big and small victories!0 -

Hello,
Are you going to continue this challenge for next Month?
My WI will be on Fridays. I do wiegh myself every morning. I think it helps me or give me an idea of how I did the day before and what to do today.0 -
Good morning.
Sounds like people are doing well. I did nothing this weekend. The heat is horrible. When I went to bed last night the heat index was still over 100. Friday is usually my day to not workout and the Saturday got up early and took my son to his baseball game. Came home cooked a quick lunch and then off to my son's soccer tourney. I don't know how the kids could play the parents were sweating just sitting on the sidelines. Went to Olive Garden for dinner and don't even want to think about how many calories I ate. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to weight loss.
I did kick myself in the butt and get out of bed this morning and get in a 5k walk. It was hard to do not getting much sleep with this heat. Even with air conditioning the bedrooms on the second level can get fairly warm.
I plan to do this challenge next month also. I will keep doing to as long as I get participants and until I reach my goal...which the way I am going will be never.
Have a good Tuesday. Stay cool!

hey tcasemy...
I understand what you mean about the heat...Im in texas...I also stopped my gym membership cuz I do not have time to go, so instead I bought the Power 90 videos...Power 90 is the step below P90X...I am entering my second week and so far I have lost 3 lbs....more than I ever did at the gym! The phase 1-2 cardio usually burns about 350 calories....so between that and 1200 cal per day, I am losing weight almost daily. I just have to plan my meals and snacks....
good luck to you!!!0 -

The last 10 days haven't been very good. I ate out more and then we went camping for 4 days. I was able to get in a long hike. I will just have to see what the rest of the month brings, going to work my butt off. I want to see 130's again.
7/1 140.8 SW
7/8 139.0 (1.8 lbs lost)
7/18 140.0 (total lost .8 lbs)
Goal 7/31 - 1350 -
I enjoy the Power 90, because it is not aerobics, but instead it is doing specific movements that benefit your strength and cardio. I work out 6 days a week, alternating cardio/abs and strength. I also have the option of turning off the cheesy music, so all I hear is Tony Horton going through the exercises. He always gives an option of something easier. I am still in the phase 1/2 which is actually the same dvd, then after 2-3 weeks of that (or when I feel comfortable enough) I can then move up to the phase 3/4 which steps it up more.
He makes it easy to get through the workouts and so far they are only about 30 min long. There is green, yellow and red bars on the right side of the screen which lets me know how much time is left in the workout and when the next break or stretch is going to be. I am not sure if phase 3/4 does the same, I hope so...
You should try it, although I recommend getting additional stretch bands so you can adjust your weight with the different color bands.0 -
