I can't tell you how emotional I was to see that number on the scale this morning. As someone who has been over 200 lbs since I was 10 and over 300 lbs since I was 19, this is a huge achievement for me. It's a place I never thought I'd be and it feels overwhelming to be here.
I just want to say that it is possible so please never give up on yourselves!
This is almost my story exactly! I have been overweight my whole life and was 278 at my highest.

I figured I was holding some extra water weight but hopping on the scale this morning was a very pleasant surprise as it was more than I thought.

Just came across this thread and was excited to find others working towards the same goal! I've been on and off MFP for a few years but I'm hoping to make it stick this time. I've managed to lose 40-60 pounds in the past but then inevitably something would happen, I'd get off track and gain it all back and then some. I'm down 68 pounds so there's a piece of me that is scared things are going fall apart. Good news is I'm working with a trainer twice a week and he's keeping me accountable so I'm hopeful this time is different. I haven't been under 200 since high school so it will be an exciting day when I get there!

I just wanted to say how inspirational you all are. Way to keep working hard and sticking with it! It isn't an easy journey, but it's very rewarding if you commit long term. Hang in there through the difficult days and keep moving forward. You can all do it!6 -

Thank you! I should have gotten there last week but spent much of the week on the road which meant high sodium and the scale actually moved back up a little but it is back down now so there will definitely be good news on the scale when I weigh in the morning.2 -

To Onderland: I'm here!!!
It means a lot to me to be able to stay under (even if just barely) for a month so far. It has been over 10 years since I was last in Onederland. That 2 digit in the front made me cringe and I stopped weighing myself for awhile and eventually stopped trying to lose it. But in June my doctor told me I was on the verge of being pre-diabetic. My grandmother struggled with diabetes and eventually it was part of what took her life. I fear it. I feel like I can finally see a light at the end of this tunnel that isn't a train coming to hit me.
Keep up all the hard work everyone!!5 -
So may people are now in Onderland or so close. Congratulations on your hard work that has put you there. You are amazing and inspiring!!
