It was bitter cold here yesterday after the big snow fall we had the day before. Bundled myself up and went for a nice, cool, 8.5 km walk.1

42 and heaviest I have ever been, harder to loose in your forties! I have let myself go and need to start over, get on track and try to get my health in order! I need to start slow. I tend to go gungho and then fizzle out. Trying to start by just tracking and light walking... get into a routine. Motivation would be helpful.3

I'll be turning 40 in May and trying to my body weight and composition back to what it was during my mid-20's. Been on and off MFP for awhile now, it was SparkPeople before that. Always willing to add new friends.0

Looking and feeling better in my 40s than I did in my 30s. Feel free to friend me for support..1

Started this thing about 2 weeks ago - just trying to figure the best way to make it work. One of the tips says to make friends, so here it goes. I don't really know what 'please add me' means. But I'm guessing it means joining a group or something? This seems like a good group - I'm 42 and just starting out.1

Uhm....just turned 30, so I guess that puts me here! lol0

Hi. Just starting over before I back-slide too far. Was doing well on Real Appeal until they switched coaches on us and I ended up with a couple really bad ones so I gave up on it. Please feel free to add me.1

I'm 52 and I totally agree with you. Sociologists consider those from 45-65 as middle aged. A person your age is considered a young adult. They should have said upper 40s to mid 60s, instead of including the upper 30s or even the low 40s. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_age

I agree. No big deal really but I've always thought of middle aged as 40-50 or maybe even 45-55.1 -

Hello, 40 (for a few more months), and new here. Was on SparkPeople for a long time but just switched to MFP - this is day 7. Started an account here last year but never did anything, but like the interface, food database, and app integration here so much better. Just don't have any friends here yet!2

Turned 40 last November. The first time I was on MFP, I lost 60 lbs. Fast forward and I've gained almost all of it back. As each year passes, I find it harder to lose weight. Would love more friends to offer and receive support.2

I knew I was "gettin old," but it never registered just how much until I saw this saying "middle-aged" and "upper 30's" in the same sentence! lol
