Day 7 of not shampooing my hair, just rinsing it. One thing I have researched is that doing this makes you look at everything else you are doing. My scalp is a part of the biggest organ we have, our skin. I will be going thru a transition, where my oil production is overproducing, but will adjust in time. The important thing they say is to massage your scalp in the shower just like you are shampooing. Stimulating your pores. They say to hydrate, exercise, and the transition s won't bre so "scuzzy". They meaning the people on YouTube that have gone thru the process. I'm excited about this journey. I feel powerful because I am not putting money into the beauty business.

I feel the same way about this as I do with the breakfast cereal movement. A thing we eat because society told you to. A meal created to fund the cereal czar's of the world. O czar is maybe a wee bit overboard, but you can understand my frustration.

Rori: I'm so sorry you're caught in a staffing shell game. I hope you end up happy with the outcome. The process of getting there sounds unpleasant. (((HUGS)))

Pip: I love your doggy pictures. Keep 'em coming! :star:

Chris, Lenora and Sue: The last I remember hearing from Sylvia she was busy with her artist's co-op & didn't have time for us. That was quite a while ago. I hope she is still well and happy.

Lenora: Sending good thoughts for Louis. :flowerforyou:

Tomorrow we are headed for the surgery center location. We have reservations at the hotel where we've stayed before and are looking forward to the second eye surgery. From here, things should improve for DH. He'll need new glasses and he'll be able to see!!!

    Morning all!

Yoga this morning. Not many calories to burn, so I will either have to get on the exercise bike or eat less. :'( I'm going to make a ragu this pm (bolognese ) so I can just reheat a portion when I get back from the hairdresser's later. Me, zoodles, DH, tagliatelle. Green beans.
Re - could you put your pork on zoodles? I also use roasted butternut squash under meat stew. Half the calories of potatoes.

Had a bit of a row yesterday after DH negotiated a better, cheaper deal with the phone company. A new superfast modem means I will have to redo the wifi printer YET AGAIN and I hate doing it. Did it twice last year. So, I wasn't suitably grateful for the hour he had spent on the phone. :o A rather quiet evening ensued, but he's ok this morning and we have discussed it. Grrrrrrrrrr!

Marcelyn - Super Nelly! <3<3<3 Ahhhhhhhh!

Katla - Best wishes for your DH 's eye surgery. :flowerforyou:

I remembered to cancel my free Amazon Prime trial this morning. :D They sent a reminder as I requested. I love having Prime for the deliveries, but I don't use any of the added services, so it's not worth it to me. I was impressed that they do send a reminder before they bill you. I have had the free trial about four times now! :D

Time to get ready. Love Heather UK xxxxxxx

    Good morning Ladies.

Re, I love (as much as I can love any dreaded exercise torture machine) my elliptical also and I fortunately have mine in my family room where I can pull it out in front of the TV.

No loss, but no gain so far this week. I think it's a victory since I was on my butt all day Sunday doing the books and had and went a bit wild with chocolate last night, nothing too serious but definitely more than is normal for me. The chocolate cake I baked for the nonexistent book club meeting will be traveling with me to a friends' home tonight for a get together. I will have a small slice and the rest will go to work with me tomorrow and be out of my house. Problem solved.

I think a walk around the mall after work is in order.

    Everyone have a wonderful day!

    Morning ladies,
Slept from 7 last night until 5:45 this morning, and boy did I need it.. yesterday was rough.. I dont mind working up front ,but when Mary lets me answer all the phones, do the scanning, great patients and then have everyone that works there ask me did you order this ,can you get that , I was about ready to scream...Mary to busy texting her husband , watching April the giraffe on her phone and sometimes working, but leaving the bulk to me..
the way my bed is situated I can look out the window and watch the planes fly by on the flight path we are on. we are smack in the middle of the state, so see alot flying to Boston and Europe and dreaming of taking a vacation some day..
My uncle is hanging on, like I told you ,and my aunts son is having brain surgery so she went to be with him.. I am hoping to fly out to Minnesota for services if they have them.. he is a decorated Korean war vet that fought at the Chosin Resevoir ..
Sorry I haven't been as chatty and able to hang with you all lately.. sorta in a funk..

Good morning everyone. Pouring rain here today, so will have to find a dry spot indoors for my walk. I'm getting the stitches out of my finger and progress report this morning. Expecting some big problems at work today. Someone disagrees with my instruction to staff and he is causing quite an uproar. Not sure when this trend started, where an untrained person thinks he/she knows more than the trained professional... :(

Love all the pictures of lovely ladies, babies and fur babies.

Thoughts and Prayers going out for those who requested (and even for those who didn't request, hope you don't mind ;) )

    Have a great day

Katla – Thanks. This is going to be a life-long ordeal; but, this time doing something before he gets to the point of having the problem of not peeing or the pain. Holding off could mean more extensive problems and neither one of us what to even thing about what that would entail. Maybe he won’t have to have the catheter very long.

Jolene – My ‘filter had a huge hole in it on this weekend; but, I felt better afterwards. Now for the ‘tough love’ part of it.
How do y’all get those icons that have been on PM sites; but, not here? My computer’s security will not allow me to put on an app for emoticons.

Chris in MA – When dear husband and I had an elliptical machine; neither one of us could tolerate in for any longer than 2.5 minutes for me and about 5 for him. So we gave it to DOS and DOGD to use; and got a treadmill instead. I will walk about 20 – 30 minutes o it.

Good morning ladies! Happy Tuesday! Made pulled pork in the crock pot last night and it turned out wonderful. Colin and Tim loved it. Although Tim is having a problem with his lower jaw. He had a tooth out about a month ago and slivers of bone have been "coming up" through his gums. He has been back to the oral surgeon twice in the past week and a half to have splintered bone removed. His last visit the oral surgeon suggested that if more slivers surface he may want to go see his GP and get a referral to a bone specialist because it could be a side effect to the methotrexate he was on for his RA. Oye! Any one ever deal with this type of deteriorating bone issue? Any way, he is on a soft foods diet.
We are a week away from our pi-boy's due date! I have my bag packed and am ready to hop on a plane and fly to DFW to meet him as soon as I get the call from my daughter!
Marcelyn- Yea! I wondered if that is where you have been! Congrats! Nelly Marie is a beautiful little girl! So delicate with those long graceful fingers! Blessings to your family!
Pip- Is that first pic, Yogi, as a pup? Or is it just the perspective of the camera?
Sarah- You are rocking the strength training! A 2+ minute plank is AWESOME!! Keep it up, my friend!
Betty- I have a love hate relationship with dreams like the one you had! LOL! I always wake up in a panic because I feel I have been left in the dust and have so much work to do; but yes, it usually lights a fire under me to get moving!
Re- So glad you are allowed back on the elliptical! You have so much motivation and energy, I am sure the weight will be melting off in no time!

*caution to treadmill and elliptical users* I have a friend that was on her elliptical at home and was "back pedaling" to work out a different set of muscles. Well, she fell backward off her machine yesterday and broke both of her wrists. She wasn't hanging on. Please hang on! She is now off work for a minimum of four weeks and can't use her hands. :(

I am so excited for the time change this weekend! More daylight to walk in! Woo hoo!
Kids arriving! Gotta fly! ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)

I was tired yesterday. Didn't feel hungry. Struggled to get enough fiber. It was like a freakin' sudoku puzzle.

Need to work on getting my exercise earlier.

Too late getting my bath and too tired to make it quick. Then sat up with DM90 for a bit to get her settled.

I didn't choose a word for this year. I thought about "accountable" - hence my interest in posting daily accountability post.

Think I'll go back to bed....

Marcelyn ~ So glad Nellie finally decided to join the family. She's beautiful.

(((Hugs))) to all of you working ladies who are facing job transitions and trials with co-workers. I worked at my first school for 24 yrs and then the county decided to move the 5th grade to a totally 5th/6th grade school. I had hoped to retire from my long time school and hated having to move.
