My tae kwon do uniform is too big! I put it on the other night and thought it was my husband's. But we're testing for our black belts in October, so I'll just tough it out until then--hopefully I'll be wearing a new black belt dobok in October!24

one of my besties yesterday told me "you're getting an hourglass figure" and I about fainted right on the spot. I never thought those words would be used to describe me in a million years.21

Good vibe today. A woman I don't know very well at the gym remarked on my apparent weight loss which was nice to think that I have lost enough for other ppl to notice now.
Then in the changing room a pal said "That dress is nice ... very slimming" - well you could take that as a bit of an insult, but I just thought the dress looks slimming cos I AM slimmer!24 -
I had 2 this week. My bf's mother told me my face looks so much slimmer. She's the first person to mention anything so that's always exciting. This morning I had to tighten my HRM strap.18

I have two as well! First, I was FINALLY able to get my wedding rings off! They are in desperate need of a cleaning but I haven't been able to remove them for years. Down almost 60 and was wondering if I would ever get to the point I could take them off!
NSV #2 - it was my birthday last weekend and I was extremely excited to get a bike! Planning for lots of family bike rides this summer and morning bike rides for myself. Last year if my husband wanted to get me a bike for my birthday I would have been less than enthused!25 -

No, its a 1 XL victory...good job21 -
Just ordered my second replacement wedding ring. First one fell off, then the second one did too...17

Currently wearing a size 12 skirt and I must say, it looks FABULOUS on me. Didn't have to wiggle it on this morning. Five months ago I was wearing size 16. With that being said, I'm going to have an awesome leg workout tonight.24

Absolutely gorgeous day today so got the bike out (husband insisted). Had a really great ride, not had one like that for ages, months probably. I felt healthy, fit and strong. It was wonderful. It felt like I was flying. Amazing how dry roads, a gentle breeze (as opposed to gale force winds) and sight of the sun make things so much better and easier!
Covered 20 miles today, including some very steep hills. One I went up, looped around to the bottom (down a hill then back up another hill) and went up it again. Just because I could (and wanted to). And I got the fun of hitting 33mph on the way back down again
I daren't tell my daughter the speeds I hit anymore as she just says "but what if you fall OFF?". She doesn't like my answer of "well, that will hurt some". She doesn't get why I like going fast. Maybe when she learns to drive a car she'll understand.21 -

Forgoing potato chips AND the brownie at a work luncheon. Stuck with a healthy 1/2 turkey/swiss sandwich with sprouts, lettuce, tomato, and just a tiny bit of mayo (and a side salad).20

After all the awful weather you've had recently, it's nice to hear about a pleasant day! (Glad you enjoyed your ride!)10 -
NSV #1: A bad day at work yesterday didn't turn into a box of cookies at home.
NSV #2: Today, I was actually able to do several of the 21 Day Fix exercises (I'm almost done with week 3) without the modifiers and had to get new weights because mine were too light!20 -
I went from being able to do zero push ups last month, to 7 REAL push ups! lol it's so sad but hey I'm excited48

i kept surreptitiously touching the zipper on my pants today, because the way the pants themselves were feeling i kept thinking i'd forgotten to zip them up.24

oh yeah, and i guess i'll mention this here.
i'm starting a Project. there's a very very good massage/manipulation therapy school in this city - a longish way away but as it happens i'm working a contract that puts me out there on two days of the week. i knew they did 'student clinic' appointments for 25-30% of what a full rmt charges, but i recently found out they also have a card that you can pre-load, and if you use that then they cut even that price in half.
so i'm doing it. the card itself comes pre-loaded with 7 sessions, so i bought it and i'm going to just keep going there twice a week until it's all used up. one day after work for the serious 'therapy' style with their near-grads, and one on weekends for a more generic nose-to-tail vanilla thing with their less-advanced kids.
prolly keep it up even beyond then but for now i just want to find out what happens when you make a dedicated project of actually fixing your backlog of little physical niggles and irks faster than they can renew themselves or get generated.21 -
I have two today.
#1- I got my first, "have you lost weight?" today. It felt really good that perhaps all my hard work is becoming visible
#2-I took my two boys on a bike ride ( they rode and I ran). I actually was pushing them onwards towards the end of the run. It was my longest run outside (3.84miles). The real win was taking my kids to do something active on my own. I used to engage begrudgingly only when it was a family activity. This time, it was my idea!32 -
Hit the final notch on my belt yesterday.
(Also, I can take my suit trousers off without undoing the button - is that a skill I can put on my resume?!) I was 37" waist last August - 31.5" now.

#1 upped weights in pump again! only on shoulder track but yay. And kept the higher weights for back, squats and lunges, despite grip killing afterwards! need to work on that.
#2 wearing a shirt I bought 12 years ago and whilst it has always 'fit' it now looks like it did when I bought it, no tummy bulging against it and actually looks more baggy on the arms (slightly sad as that probably means it will be gotten rid of soonish)
#3 black jeans that I haven't worn in a while as they pulled across thighs now fit and are hanging off thighs and *kitten* just like my others. lol. was hoping they would actually stay up more than my blue ones. No such luck - might need to purchase another pair tis cool but gods I hate clothes shopping!
#4 have Wagamamas, Chiquitos and cake trip over the next few days and am not worried/feeling pre-guilt. I have the calories spare and am really feeling in control of what I am eating.
has been a good week!!

Wearing a dress today (in itself a NSV ) and pretty much everyone at work stops me to tell me how good I look. It feels great!!! Oddly enough, the dress feels great. I used to not wear dresses because I thought they were uncomfortable and restrictive, but it almost feels nicer than jeans (even with the spanx to keep the fat rolls on my stomach from rolling around.)
Also... my closet is all shopped out! I have no clothes left that are too small Even the dress I'd been saving... I saved too long. It now looks like a potato sack instead of the hot flattering dress I remember it being. Off to the donation bag it is
Oh and time to go shopping for more dresses. Maybe I'll have to start with a 'Dress Friday' from now on35 -

That's awesome! I basically ran here to say something similar. I bought a dress in January that was just too tight and didn't look nice at all and am wearing it to work this morning... Lots of compliments, but most of all, I feel cute as eff.
Happy Friday!21 -

I'm going to assume you all aren't motorcycle people. LOL
My son grew up on the back of two-wheels so his question would be more along the lines of 'how many 4-wheels did you pass'!
Go you! Sounds like you had a blast in the nice weather. : )7 -
As of yesterday, I can run a 12 minute mile! Woooohooo!41

#5 size 16 (UK) work trousers fit!!! ok so I wouldn't be able to sit very comfortably/may rip them lol but I can do them up properly, without the 'jean gymnastics'. Mate at work is too small for them so brought them in for me to try to save a trip to the dreaded overly warm shop changing rooms.
am so mega chuffed! cannot remember the last time I could do a size 16 up! I know it must have been true at some point but was definitely more than 8 years ago!! (and they still are too baggy round thighs and butt, that is obviously a design issue to all work trousers as 'most' women apparently have more curve to hips and butt that wot I do)
woohooooooooooo!!!25 -
Date for my second powerlifting competition is set. May 13th.28

I'm wearing a shirt tucked in! I've never done that--always thought it made my poochy stomach more obvious, but I want to show the cute buttons on these pants and I feel good!

Learning more about myself and this journey! I used to be an all or nothing type of gal. I would start out eating very "healthy" but not sustainably. I would make all these crazy meals just for me (as most of my family shies away from the "healthy" stuff). I've finally realized that if I just eat a lighter breakfast and lunch (totally doable for me) then I can enjoy a "normal" dinner with my family. Believe me, I still weigh and measure and track everything but I am allowed to enjoy french fries once in a while!
Also, I used to let one bad day get me off track and I'd be throwing in the towel. Now, I conciously choose my bad days and hold myself accountable for them without the guilt. No one is perfect so I can't expect perfection, just forward progress. This time around has definitely been a learning experience that I am very proud of!33 -
This week was week 4 of C25K for me (5 min warm-up walk, 3 min run, 90 sec walk, 5 min run, 2.5 min walk, 3 min run, 90 sec walk, 5 min run, 5 min cool-down walk). Day 1 I nearly died... The first 5 minute run was hard and the 2nd took everything in me to get through and it was a tough, ugly 5 min run.
Today was w4d2, not only did I breeze through it all - I wasn't tired after the second 5 minute run so I decided to keep running a bit longer instead of the cool down. I ran an ENTIRE 10 minutes (AND STILL COULD HAVE GONE LONGER)!!! 4 weeks ago the 1 minute run killed me... I am ecstatic!
This makes me SOOOOO happy to read!! I remember day one like it was yesterday. I had to stop and couldn't jog the full 60 seconds. Now I'm running 40 minutes non stop three times a week.. I NEVER thought I'd say something like that... not me, the girl who would write my own notes to get me out of PE! Keep going and stick to the program, you'll do amazingly! Congratulations on your 10 minute run!

Congratulations! And cute as a button.
I can so relate to this. I have NEVER done this in my life. This is a good "mini goal" idea!11
