I guess this is an NSV, although one I'm a little sad about! I pulled a skirt out of a box of "too small" clothes back in November, thinking that I could finally wear it when spring put in an appearance. (I'd bought it last time I lost weight, and might have worn it once before it was too small again!) I could just about zip it up, but it was too tight to actually wear it.
That was 11lbs ago... I'm not sure it'll ever be worn now!
Also, I went for an interview today and my smart trousers only just fit... they're getting loose and have an elasticated waist, no belt loops to help hold them up. I survived the interview but by the time I got to the bottom of the stairs when leaving they were starting to slide down! Fortunately it was an enclosed stairwell so I was able to hike them back up in privacy, but I think I'm going to have to find another pair! (The others I have were too tight last time I tried them, but maybe they'll be okay now/soon.)23 -
I'm going away in a month. Some of the short shorts I bought last year but didn't wear are totally getting worn this year. I've had to ditch at least three pairs from last (which is kind of annoying but proves why I was sensible to buy cheap rather than "my" style).
And today, a new to me (50s vintage) dress arrived that by some miracle I got as a bargain on eBay, never happens these days! Anyway, it was listed as a 26" waist which I thought wouldn't zip up quite yet. Well blow me that thing did up. Snugly and I won't wear it till I'm maybe 6 more pounds down but I got the thing on!
Terrible picture. Resting *kitten* face. But dress.

@VintageFeline Cute dress... I like fifties style clothing! (And red too!) It looks good on you now, so will no doubt look even better in a few pounds.3

I've got quite a few things I've bought over the last couple of years to shrink into. Mostly because true vintage pre-62 is pretty impossible to find cheaply now so I've picked things up when a relative bargain crops up and I can afford it. *Shakes fist at the popularity of vintage now.
So I'm excited to be getting out of my "it'll do for now" high street stuff and back to my proper aesthetic!6 -
This morning I slid into a dress that's been hanging in the back of my closet since I bought it because it wouldn't zip.

The suit pants I am wearing today I bought 7 years ago a size too small and this is the first time I have been able to wear them.21

Awesome - I want to see lots of photos when you do! (And yes, it sucks when something becomes way more expensive because it's suddenly popular!)3 -
I picked up and moved a recliner all by myself. Probably wasn't safe for my back in retrospect but I did it!20

NSV-I can now run 5K and I bowled my first strike this weekend.26

The blizzard is coming. The gym has already announced it'll be closed. I took a moment today to put a new comfy seat on my bike, which is already installed on the indoor trainer. I also picked up groceries for enough (calorie appropriate) meals and snacks to last a few days. Also, the kids will be home from school -- so, dark chocolate.23

I'm so glad the East Coast is borrowing our snow this week. You don't have to return it for the rest of the year, it's fine. Nice job on preparation. It's one thing to remember to buy TP, it's a whole other level to keep diet and exercise on track.10 -
I have used MFP in the past, but always gave up and was lazy. I've been committed since Jan 2nd and been doing cardio each day. When I first started I could only really do one mile at 6mph and almost died. Today I ran 6 miles miles under one hour! I'm stoked for what comes next!26

Call my docs office today to get my scripts reissued. Was told I would have to visit because it had been more than six months. Consultation resulted in a halving of my BP meds.
Will also omit my heartburn meds for a few days to see if my somewhat changed diet rendered them unnecessary.

I'm a server and we have to wear a tie. I chose a bow tie because I'm too lazy to tie a real tie. Anyways, today I had to tighten it by 2 notches because it was hanging low. Yea, that's 1/2".27

My son just barreled right into me... He hit my hip with his noggin and it HURT! Weird to remember I have bones!24

I had all kinds of opportunities to excuse my self from my c25k exercise today.
1. Daylight savings time starting or ending (I can never remember which)
2. Having to go into work early so I could be home early for an appliance delivery
3. Shoulder inexplicably hurting a lot
4. Aforementioned appliance delivery after work
But the appliance deliverymen came early and everything was setup. As of 6:00 PM it was 80 degrees and sunny so I headed out to the track. I killed it on w5d1 of C25k and I get the feeling that w5d2 should be pretty easy as well.
I did learn that running into the sun sucks, but running with the sun at your back is great. And I am finally warm again.25 -

I actually started this thread several years ago...so glad it's still going! Unfortunately, life's stressful situations got in the way and I completely fell off the bandwagon and I've gained back most, if not all, of my weight back. I'm a little better off than first time around in that I do occasionally work out and I don't eat much refined food...which probably means it will be that much harder to take off this time as my change won't be quite as big but I'm ready to have another go at it.
It's going to take a long time to read through all these but I'm so proud of everyone that has done such awesome things! Keep it going!
@tjsoccermom Thank you so much for creating this thread in the first place (no matter how many years ago it was!). It's so amazing reading the small and big ways others are succeeding (and slowly being able to add my own successes to the list).
We'll be around to help you celebrate your success this time around
Thank you so much for your kind words! That made me feel really good and is appreciated more than you could know. Also, it's motivating! So, keep your eye on here, I'll post more. Don't have as much time as I did before, work and college now, but I'm working on getting back on track. Food prepped a bunch of veggies tonight!15 -

We haven't had much this year, so I'm actually looking forward to it. Especially since I'm all prepared.
