Beautiful picture Jen! I love that fact that you haven't died.
We can post on Monday, if that works for you...that way we can sneak in an extra walk late on Sunday.3 -

Not bragging or anything, but I'm having the opposite problem. I keep forgetting to wake up early enough to get my dog on the trail before it gets too hot. She has a thick coat and it's been up to 90 degrees for the past few days. She's old so I don't want her to get overheated. Tomorrow we're getting up early!5

Oh how I wish it would be above freezing! . Good for you!!1 -
It's cold out, and my pup is getting up there in years, so we're going to be on the low end.

Xena reads Stephen King? Good choice!
This challenge is whatever works best for you and your dog. It's about quality time with your pooch. If it's too cold.... or warm outside, play with them inside... brush them... have them do some tricks. Get outside when you can. Senior dogs have to take it easy. Who doesn't love a good tummy rub?4 -

My dog had a doggy dream day today. First, she went for a 5 mile hike in the morning, where she tromped through puddles, sniffed all the sniffs, and met tons of new people, horses and other dogs along the trail. She was so filthy. Then, after I hosed her down, she went over to my sister's house with us for the first pool party of the year. It was in the 80's today. She played with other dogs, splashed and swam in the pool, and had a great time with lots of attention! Now she's wiped out. Best day ever!6
