My cropped-length trousers are not so cropped anymore, as they are sliding down my hips.23

TWO for me yesterday...
1. I got told by a co-worker that it's becoming very obvious I am losing weight and that I am looking great!
2. I went on my 3rd hash house harriers run, but the first without my friend so I was "alone" with the group for the first time, I ran more than usual and had a GREAT time!27 -
For the last few days at work I have been fizzing with energy, walking quickly and running up stairs, not because I make myself do it, my body just does it, can't wait to see and feel how much more energy I have when I hit goal!
This happens to me when I do my daily walk. So much so, that I am now running. I feel like I am not moving fast enough if I don't run.20 -

This has been happening to me on my walks as well!!! It's like I just want to go faster and faster and then I end up jogging. Yesterday was my "rest day" and I still went out for a 4 mile walk and had to actually restrain myself and keep telling myself to slow down because my legs actually really did need the rest from my strength training the day before.16 -
Spring Cleaning and I've donated 5 big bags of clothes from my closet and 4 small bags from my dresser, and my wardrobe tripled! I ended up with a bunch of clothes that were back in the depths of my closet that I can now wear again, PLUS I had 2 totes of "too small" clothes under my bed that ended up mostly fitting me. I got rid of a few of them from the totes that were too big and some that were way out of date. I now have 3/4 of a tote back under my bed that will fit in another 5-10 lbs, and have moved so many back into rotation. I forgot how many cute clothes I had hidden away under my bed! I just gained at least $300 worth of clothes!! Now I have to go shopping for undies and more hangers for my slacks. Such an amazing feeling.
I've donated literally hundreds of dollars worth of still in very good shape clothing. But I don't know that I count that as a victory because it includes some stuff I really like, AND I've had to do a lot of shopping to replace it. OTOH, Dillard's had a killer New Years Day sale, and Lands End's clearance section has some bargains too.10 -
I just had my blood pressure taken and it was 116/71 and my pulse was 55 - both NSVs in themselves.... but the chap just smiled and said "that's a sign that you're fit"! Hee-hee35

Slide!" and being able to do it brought a tear to my eye. A year ago I would have gotten stuck on the slide if I'd even tried to get on. The swings would have dug into my sides and quite possibly/probably not have been able to hold my weight (and honestly I would have been afraid to try). Honestly, last year I would have been sitting down on a bench with various weight-related aches, pains, and avoidable ailments. Every single activity that I am able to enjoy with my little girl is worth any ache from an intense workout and definitely more than any sugary treat that I've passed up. My NSV was the realization that I am leading a quality life with my family.
Congratulations! I hope to be able to say that I am living a quality life with my kiddos someday soon.
You will!! Just keep moving!8 -
My resting heart rate has dropped from 84 to 62! That means I'm getting healthier, right?35

My leggings fell off of me today - we knew that leggings could fall down?!?
Also, I hit onederland today!! I know that is a scale victory but I am too excited about it to care!53 -
My new habits are rubbing off on my family I am thrilled about it!
My teenager daughter, who basically lives for chocolate, now selects fruit as a "go to" option, followed by cereal bars. The chocolate only tends to get hit if she's premenstrual. She also no longer moans when she has to walk to/from college (which is every day and she used to chew my ears off about it, not that her moaning ever changed anything).
My toddler almost always asks for fruit/raw veg as a treat and hardly ever asks for cakes/sweets. She also asks to go for walks and if we go to feed the ducks, will choose the lake furthest from the house (not sure if she realises this though).
My 12-yo son has stopped asking for second helpings of food and doesn't usually opt for pudding if available. He has also stopped moaning about walks, even though he has problems with his feet that make them ache.
My 13-yo son actually asks if we are going for a walk (we usually go daily).
My DH - and this is a first for him - took a packet of Maltesers out of the cupboard yesterday, sat down to eat them, got up and put them away again. When I asked why he did that, he told me that he didn't know.
It's taken a while, I've been changing my life for the last 18 months or so but progress is being made In that time, I have never tried to change my family's habits (apart from the walks) but I am so happy that they have decided to do this. My children are going to grow up into healthy adults.63 -
Today we had our sheep sheared. It's a lot of hefting around very heavy animals (200+ lbs). My husband said he noticed I was doing a lot more of the heavy work with no problem--7 months gym time paying off in a practical way! (The photo is of the shearer, not me.)

I just love the variety of people here. Never sheared a sheep in my life but it's cool that some here do.22 -

Today, I went for a hike. I know how minor that sounds, but it's been some time since I was physically able to do anything. I probably looked funny plodding up that hill, but I did it.

That's always good! Love me a good sale! And I still count it as a victory donating the clothes because, although there were some really expensive ones, I never paid full price for any of them, and most came from a thrift store.10 -
Hubs and I are in a band, and we have a big concert on Saturday. I spent the evening altering the vests for our uniforms. I had to do both because he's losing weight too! So excited about that.
Last year, he outgrew his band shirt, so he handed it down to me. Now it's ginormous on me, and it fits him again. He's getting it back and I need to run out tomorrow to find a smaller one.
At least the kilts still fit. For now. I'm on the last hole of the buckle strap, and it's loose. That would have been difficult to remedy at the last minute.24 -
mapmyrun is telling me that I have done over 100 x 5km runs37
